I drove all the way from Brooklyn to give the place a try on the word of a good friend Sal; FYI, his eyebrows always look perfect so I asked him where he goes & with no hesitation i went & got em done !!! Sal told me he uses any one of the ladies and he's always satisfied with the outcome ...... I use to use a place on Crossbay Blvd. Howard Beach been in business for over 35 yrs and still going but the original owners Mom who was the best passed away and then shop was sold to a cousin; gave then a try and I never went back been doing my own for over 8 yrs or so but not no more !!! I called before coming to do my eyebrows. I told the lady I only wanted a little bit of hair off and she completely deformed my brows. I had full buffed looking ones before I arrived. Now both sides look uneven. The issue here is: when I told her exactly the amount of threading I wanted (which was a little) she began and took too much hair off that was not supposed to be taken off. I also gave her a tip after the threading session was over and told her I liked it, but in reality it did not look good. I did not want to be rude Upfront. They (the threading ladies) need to seriously obtain better listening skills. For the event I will attend, my brows will not be as I hoped for it to look. Just cleaned up was all I wanted... Nothing else! I truly would like my money back because I am still not satisfied. Imagine how long does it take for women (and men) to grow back their eyebrows after threading ? Exactly! A long time. So I, just like any other person with similar experience, will be walking around on daily life routines for several months with uneven eyebrows until it grows back as it normally was. Please, if you do go to this place... Make sure they effectively listen to exactly the type of service you request and not what they feel like doing on to you. Service here is always good. Staff are always friendly and nice; when they apply lotion to the brows, they always give you some generous eyebrow spot stroke massage. But when I asked them to pretty please not to thin out the brows, just to clean up the wacky stragglers... (as we all know ladies... thicker, fuller brows are in) I walked out with well shaped but thinner eyebrows. It is quite unfortunate that this keeps happening. I have been going to Pure on Broadway lately since they always give me exactly what I asked for, yet whenever I get lazy and stop by Natural Eyebrow I'm back to square one of growing out my little lawns above the eyes again. *sigh* read more

Love this place! I no longer live in the area but I come back once every few weeks to get my eyebrows done here. In my experience, they will listen to me (I have pretty this brows and like them to be thinned a *little*) and they always do a good job. And if I'm not happy with them, they've fixed it. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. They didn't greet me, just said, 'sit down.' She questioned my choice to wax, not thread, and proceeded to toss the tissues and tools on my chest as she worked. I told her, keep the shape, just clean them up. Well, I'm onstage in three days and now have half the width of my brows. It is AWFUL. I am very upset, and there's not a thing I can do about it. I told her she changed the shape; she denied it. I pulled up a picture taken the day before. She didn't give a shit, and kept denying it. When I walked into my apartment, my roommate greeted me with, 'your eyebrows are different.' So, I'm new to New York. And one of the HARDEST things about moving to a new city (and I've done this a lot,) is finding your places. Your bar. Your Chinese food stand-by. Your salon for your hair. Your shop for your brows. I have been to FOUR other well rated threading spots. And I've consistently been disappointed. Then Natural Eyebrow opened up, just blocks from my house. It's a frickin' miracle. I've found my place. The woman who did my brows is super nice (wish I got her name!) and has the lightest hand with threading. Let's be real, threading isn't exactly soothing- that ish can hurt! But this was the LEAST painful threading experience I've ever had. My eyes usually water a bit. I usually can't help but frown/wince. Not here. And as for the end result? A few days later, I still look at my eyebrows in the mirror because they're so pretty (sorry, I'm vain sometimes.) I'm positive this is because the woman doing my brows didn't rush. She took her time unlike everywhere else I've been. She used a pair of scissors to do what threading couldn't and the result is perfection. There aren't any stray hairs. Nothing is uneven. Oh yea. And it's $5 to get your eyebrows done. Great experience here today after a referral from a local friend -- $5 for a great eyebrow shape-up and friendly customer service. Prior to today I had never tried threading, but have secretly wanted to try it for years. Before I had the chance to even ask for waxing, I was calmly greeted and seated by a friendly woman who quickly went to work shaping and trimming up my eyebrows to symmetric perfection. The process was very quick, and I liked that afterward, she asked me if I wanted her to apply lotion (which I declined) instead of smearing it on and enflaming my already-sensitive skin. Eyebrow waxing makes my skin very angry and red, and I must say that I really did not experience any lingering irritation after the threading. I will be going back! read more

I just got my eyebrows done here the other day ...and I am extremely disappointed ... I always go to one person because she can only do my eyebrows..but today it was freezing so i decided to try this place out...anyways after she was done with my eyebrows it looked pretty much the same when I went in. I had to point out hairs she missed ...and they weren't even. I didn't say anything because the damage was done. On top of that her breath smelled horrible and when she was attempting to tweeze my eyebrows her hand went on my mouth gross. I never had a problem with the staff. Theyre all really nice. Pinky and siya are my favorite,but for some reason every time i go here i break out especially if i wax ..i thought it was the chocolate wax then i asked to switch to the pink wax.nope nothing change still broke out . i thought it was me and my skin was being sensitive all of a sudden. So i gave this place a break and went to a different spot never broke out, so i kept going to this other spot for 3 months didnt break out once. This place is awesome! I just moved to the area and was terrified to get my eyebrows done by someone new. But I gave it a shot and no regrets. The lady was very diligent. The place is nice an clean. Pretty big for an eyebrow/ waxing salon. The lady did a nice job but I didn't like her insistence to thread. I went there to wax my eyebrows and I explained why ( because it hurts and takes longer) but she insisted that wont hurt " and "it will take a little more time but it's better". No, I might be in a rush...please don't make me be rude to you ( which I wasn't) just do what I ask for and don't insist. Then she moved to selling me more services, even asking me to have my mustache done " cause it's a lot" :))) I wax my upper lip home, myself in 2 minutes. I wasn't upset, I just thought was funny. I like the place I just like it when it's fast and nobody is insisting to have done more than I came for. I also understand that she was doing her job but just a quick tip: when the customer says no, I want it this way because its faster...that means the customer is in a rush. I'm gonna go one more time, maybe I will have a better experience as far as human interaction goes because my eyebrows looked GREAT after. I went back yesterday and the same thing happened. She insisted to thread...I don't know why, I'm thinking because it is cheaper for them. The only cost involved is the thread and I'm guessing that is very cheap. I do my own lashes but I wanted to get them done so I wouldn't have to do them everyday. Never get eyelash extensions here! She used 4$ Ardell lashes. After she was done I felt the glue. It was clumped, hard and very uncomfortable. I had to take them off the next day because of how uncomfortable it was. They are not professional at all and it was a waste of money!
