We went with various pedicures- I did the Special Pedicure and truly was enjoyable. The lady was very gentle. I did request orange or a mango color when I was seated and again when another asked me this one or that and I said no , I would like orange please. She said it again and thought she understood but got grape instead! My friend next to me looked and we both were saying but but- when she had done third toe, she did ask if all ok but truly it's not a battle I wanted to fight. We laughed over it at lunch and realized my previous color was purple and she assumed. Truth is just not worth it- it was a mutual friend of ours wedding fun and that was the focus. I only gave 4 stars because i had to bring my daughter and somehow it upset the guy who did my nails and he kept on telling me that she's bothering him and then didn't do my nails anymore and had a lady do my nails. I used to live on the east side of Tucson and I came here once for a pedicure. It was great and i loved it. But I moved to the west side of town a couple weeks after that, so it became out of the way. A couple weeks ago i decided to have a set put back on my nails and to go get a pedicure. So when it came time for my fill I dreaded the fact that I had to look for ANOTHER place. So instead, i got in my car and drove over half an hour to go to Perfect Hair & Nails and I am once again completely satisfied. I only got a fill this time around because I only do my toes once a month, unless I really need to get them done. And I'm so happy with the results. I didnt get the name of the gentleman that did my nails, but he was the only guy there so that should help lol. When I first came in they were HONEST with me. Instead of telling me it'll be 10-20 minutes like most places, she told me the wait was about 30-40 minutes. I contemplated leaving but I knew I may regret it if I did. I was told that at 4 o'clock...at 4:11 I was sitting on a chair. I have a job that requires a lot of typing. So I told him I wanted them short and they are the perfect length for me. I asked if he could do an ombré on my nails and once again there was that HONEST thing. He told me he had never done it but the ladies could do it for me if I wanted to wait for them to be available once he did the fill. I told him it was fine. I hurt my middle finger the day before and my nail was tender. I told him that and he was so careful to not hurt me, and my nail actually doesn't hurt at all today. He also talked to me about trying a different nail technique since I like them so short, and the next time I go in I'm gonna try it! When he did my nails he paid attention to every details. Length, shape, size, and made sure everything was perfect. He even painted the front of my nails, which since I've moved to Tucson from New York, I havent seen anyone out here do that! I usually just get regular nail polish unless I'm going on vacation, and it stays on so well! Usually, from other places, my nails start chipping in 2-3 days. When I go to Perfect Nails, the polish stays on for a week. For a regular manicure, that is great!! Everyone is very nice and does great work! I am particular about my entire nail being painted (some other places miss the sides) and places being clean. That is not a problem here. Wish I could give zero stars. Today a huge chunk of polish fell from the nail the tech redid a week ago. This was a gel color on acrylics. It should not be chipping this fast. Usually, regular polish on acrylics lasts about 2.5 to 3 weeks on me and gel polish on acrylics 3-4 weeks. It's been 2 weeks, and the ones she "fixed" a week ago are beyond chipped. I say "fixed" because she just filed a part of my nail and applied polish on that part. Meaning there's a clear line where the original polish was and where the new polish was placed. I've been getting acrylics and gel for years and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. It was a waste of $35. read more
