About a year ago, I had a new heater installed along with new ductwork. Everything seemed fine…read moreuntil recently, when water got into the heater and damaged a controller part. That issue wasn't the company's fault. However, while the technician was here testing the heater, the power suddenly went out. We initially thought it was a breaker issue, but it wasn't. Even after checking and replacing breakers, the power still wouldn't come back on. Then, while we were standing at the heater, the power suddenly returned. Neither of us could figure out what was happening. After the technician finished and left, I had to call an electrician to investigate the wall outlets. The electrician found a loose wire inside a wire nut and replaced it. He told me the wire looked like it had been pulled or stepped on, which caused it to come loose. I haven't been in the attic in over a year, the only people up there were Action Air's technicians when they removed the old ductwork and installed the new ductwork. I reported this to Action Air and sent them photos of the wiring issue along with the invoice for the repair. Their response was: "Good morning Rick, Our management team has reviewed the photo and your invoice and have confirmed we will not be reimbursing you." The electrician's repair cost was $200. Instead of doing the right thing and working with me on a reasonable solution, this is how they chose to treat a customer. Their technicians were the only ones in the attic, and it's clear they inadvertently stepped on or pulled the wiring loose, an issue that could have caused a fire in my home. I guess a bad review is worth $200 to them. This is why I will never recommend or use Action Air again.

Luckily, a coworker recommended this company to us and we were sold! We can't say enough about this company! They absolutely helped us out when we really needed someone fair, trustworthy, honest, and all around dependable. We live in Corona, Ca and these guys came all the way out from San Diego on a hot June day to replace our broken AC. They made sure to put down floor coverings to not mess up our wood floor and carpet (which was just cleaned the day before!). Five of them knocked the job done in a few hours, which was awesome because it was really hot and needed the AC badly! We set up an appointment for early June. No one showed and no phone call. I called later that day and he said he had me scheduled for the following week. Ok, some mistake on my part or his. No big deal. The next week no one showed up again and no phone call. So I called last week and we set up an appointment between 9-11am for Tues. July 28th. Once again, no one showed and no phone call. Left a message that was basically, "What the hell Mike." 3 times you flake on us? No return phone call or text. I would have recommended Sonrise and Mike to anyone before this. Now? Forget about it.

I am beyond happy with the work completed and the service they provide. Mike came out to do the estimate himself and was extremely thorough in examining the whole system. He was the only person who came out to discover the gaps in the upstairs ductwork and one of the only who even went upstairs. Mike's estimate was the only estimate I received which included replacing the ductwork and fixing the water output. He provided me with three different pricing options with different systems and we went with the Bosch system that has the option to use as a heat pump or gas. His pricing was right in the middle of the estimates I received but it was a much better system than any of the other options around the price range. I went with my gut and just knew Mike was the best option because he knows his stuff and really cares. Mike is a great communicator and gets back to you really quickly. He answered all of my questions and was clear on all aspects of the project. When Mike and Luis arrived to conduct the replacement I knew I had made the right choice. They immediately put down these tarps to make sure they didn't track dirt in the house. Throughout the whole project they were extremely tidy and the little mess they did make here or there, they made sure everything was very clean by the time they left for the day. Mike explained everything to me thoroughly and showed me how our old system had standing water and mold in it. He also made sure our carbon monoxide output was in a safe location because the previous location was extremely unsafe. He also came back today and installed an EcoBee thermostat after it was back in stock to ensure we have a monitor upstairs too because our thermostat is located in the coolest place in the house downstairs. My husband was in urgent care and Mike offered to have Luis bring me something from Starbucks. It was such a kind offer and went so far beyond any type of contractor service I've ever received. I am so glad we went with Mike and SonRise Mechanical. He goes above and beyond in his work and communication. Luis was also exceptional and consistent in his hard work. Our system is working amazingly and I am happy to have found someone like Mike to rely on for our future HVAC needs. Heard about them through the SDG&E AC Quality care program (an absolute must in San Diego). Alex came out and did the most wonderful job on my 30 year old system getting it running like new! He cleaned the inside and outside of the systems, fixed a number of air leaks and general preventitive maintenance. Alex went above and beyond to help out. After Alex's work, the Air Conditioning system is working so well and blowing cold like it has never before. I could not be happier about ALT. He spent the time to explain what he was doing and why. Answered all of the questions I had about his work and HVAC. Super nice guy to boot. Absoute incredible service to the point that I can wholehartedly reccomend ALT for any HVAC needs. I will be using ALT when I upgrade my system in the future.
