One of our fav places to go but make reservations by calling. One hint is to ensure you reserve at the right location as some menu options are different. We go to the perfect pig in Santa Rosa. The ambiance is good, but the food is exceptional! The burger is always a hit and we never miss the flatbread fig with Parmesan. We always talk about it every time we discuss the best flatbread ever... They do sell t-shirts if you want to represent, but the price to represent is a little high at $29+. Meh. I just had an ok take out experience at the Perfect Pig. Maybe dining-in would have been better. I thought the portions were small, especially for a $33 Shrimp and Grits. Again, maybe portions are bigger for dine-in. Taste-wise it was good. My wife's Lemon Shrimp Scampi was okay and the shrimp portion was a little more generous than my dish. The kids butter pasta was big. I was hoping they used a different type of pasta, but it seems like it's linguine all around The real disappointment came from the fried green tomatoes. I think they were undercooked and I could still taste some raw flour, which made it almost inedible. While visiting on vacation, this quickly became my second-favorite breakfast spot! The bacon is delicious--and honey, the grits are absolutely the best. We had a party of ten, and although they were able to seat us right away, we did have to split up. One of the staff members kindly let us know they would try to bring us together once space opened up, and I really appreciated their effort to accommodate our group. The food was outstanding across the board--the French toast, eggs, bacon, and of course, those amazing grits. Johnny, our waiter, was clearly busy but still managed to take great care of us. We also learned that each location specializes in something different. This location is known for its cookies, while another nearby spot is famous for its donuts (which we were hoping to find during this visit). This is a solid spot for breakfast in SRB. It's really cute inside and a nice patio (at this location at least). Our waiter, Johnny, was wonderful! He has such a cool vibe and is super easygoing. We were surprised to see they didn't offer any cocktails with liquor so we inquired, apparently it's due to the limited space so they have offerings like Bloody Marys with Sake. It was actually quite tasty! The food was overall flavorful but needed a little more seasoning. I did appreciate the uniqueness of some of the dishes. My Pork Belly Biscuit was insanely good, but the Gravy Biscuit needed more S&P. All in all, prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. read more

Of the four entrees ordered, the two pastas ordered were lacking flavor and were rated a 3 or 4/10. The salad was good. The shrimp and grits rated 4/10 - lacking flavor. The servers were nice. We had spinach crab dip, grouper tacos, and the Greek salad. Plenty for 3 of us. The tacos were awesome and the fish tasted so fresh. I recently had the occasion to visit this fine establishment for lunch. I was intrigued by an item on the menu called "Billy Goat Chips". Now I've heard of Buffalo Chips and Cow chips, but these are not at all thankfully similar to Billy Goat chips. Billy Goat chips are house made fresh potato chips. Fresh, crunchy with a "just right" salinity, these chips are fantastic. You've got to get in here and try some. Their grouper tacos were spot on and the meal is served with a fresh side salad. The food quality is excellent here, the service is great as well. An extremely varied menu with a nice upscale interior. Outside dining is available. read more

We were staying in a townhome in Gulf Place this past week. Last night we decided to try this restaurant as it's close by and they did takeout. We had been on a boat that day and were tired. My husband ordered Hickory Smoked Bbq platter, Four Seasons Chicken Salad, kid's pasta with red sauce and fried shrimp. The bbq was dry and had no sauce on it or on the side, my salad was not what I was expecting for a Southern chicken salad. It was loose with more liquid and came on a bed of lettuce with cucumbers. I have never mixed my chicken salad with the base of a salad. I ate it, but it was not what I thought I ordered. The brisket was good according to my son(11) as he and his dad shared that bbq dish. My friend's son (11) had the kids pasta and ate all of it. He said the shrimp were good, but we did not have any ketchup for him to put on it. Yikes! So he did not eat it. My Key Lime pie with berries was refrigerated over night and my husband said it was a 3/5 at best. Lots of mixed reviews. Too expensive $130ish for all of this not to be good at best. Out of 5 I give it a 3. As we come to Gulf Place every year, I wont be back. They probably will not miss my visit $ wise, but if I can save you $$$ then I have done my job with this review. read more
