We had been to another cowgirl kitchen location on 30A before years ago. This is a follow up visit to the area after a few years. We had remembered this restaurant and thought the rosemary beach location would be the same as we remembered from a few years ago We were wrong This location was way too small, and there were a bunch of flies circulating round the restaurant... enough for our party to keep waving flies away from their dishes. The menu was what I remembered, simple fare: sandwiches, salads, drinks. Sort of a southwest vibe. The food was average and lacked the southwest kick needed to take it up to the next level (4 star). The servers were excellent and full of humor. Service was quick. It's too bad that the food was barely average in flavor and the seating was too limited and the space was too small. Guess that's what you expect in Rosemary beach. It's almost better if this was a take out place. read more

I was pretty unimpressed with both the menu and the food at Cowgirl. I ordered the Drunken shrimp tacos with a side salad. The salad was actually the best part - fresh, and the pecans added a great touch. The tacos, however, were basic and almost completely flavorless-I tasted no salsa nor the sauce that was described on the menu. Nothing about them stood out. I ended up taking the shrimp out of the tacos and eating it with the salad just to make the meal work. I also ordered the Crimson Cowboy, which tasted more like cranberry juice and carbonation than an actual cocktail. On a positive note, from hostess to server, the staff was super friendly and attentive. However, that was enough to make me like CK. Overall, it was another miss in the Rosemary Beach dining scene for me. read more

Just had the Drunken Shrimp Tacos. Really good. Could ate just the shrimp. Amazing service ! Staff was working really hard in a tight space in humid conditions. Not that it wasn't comfortable inside. But running in and out of the kitchen and to outdoor seating looked tough. They killed it. Great place to stop for lunch after the beach. Wow such low ratings but this place was great. Had a couple of beers from the tap served by Sean, great guy, at the back patio near the cornhole area. First time here. Came with a group of 6 for a late dinner. The entire meal was excellent. Got great service the entire time. The menu has lots of nice choices, the drinks are generous, and the portions were all good. Started with the Smoked Tuna Dip. Came to Cowgirl Kitchen with family as it was a convenient option while wandering the area. The patio seating was full so we sat inside and it was a bit cramped inside for our party of 6. The service was quick and attentive. We started with the smoked tuna dip and elite dip and both were okay! Neither were incredibly memorable but were good for the meal. I ended up getting the blackened fish tacos as my entree and they were quite mild in flavor but were filling for just having two. My fiancée got the burger and it was quite delicious from what I got to try. The pizzas did look quite tasty and I think if I returned I would try this option instead. Cowgirl Kitchen is the perfect breakfast spot for 2-4 people, although there was a family there with small kids when we arrived around 9:45am, if you want the option to sit anywhere including the bar which is where we sat don't come with a big group, it's not set up for that and trying to do that would probably just make you unhappy. However the food was fresh and delicious and not bad on the pocket book! We had a Bloody (which is like $10 cheaper if you come between 8-9am) but tasted great! And we 3 ordered the scramble bowls - 1 bacon, 1 carne asada and 1 chorizo; we think the chorizo then bacon then carne asada is the order of flavor goodness! Their sourdough toast along side with fresh sliced avocado was perfect! Staff (not just the waiter that wasn't even ours and bar tender) was friendly and attentive and service was perfect! read more

After experiencing some confusion using the website when trying to make a to go order, I called Cowgirl kitchen. I spoke with Anderson, who I believe is one of the new owners of this establishment. He was incredible. To get past confusion, he personally sent me photos of the menu and took my order over the phone. This seems to be the better option as the website is a bit confusing and apparently orders often get mixed up with the other location (which has different ownership). He was incredibly kind and I really appreciate the great service. I got food for four people plus the trio appetizer. It was yummy! I recommend this spot read more

Busy place. Went about 1 pm on a Thursday. Had to wait 30 minutes for an outside table, but it was worth it. Wjfey ordered the Fish Tacos with a side salad. Two tacos loaded with perfectly prepared Mahi Mahi and topped with coleslaw and cheese. Fish was superb and taco shells were nicely warmed. Side salad was a nice mixture of greens and diced vegetables. I went with the "catch of the day" Fish Sandwich. Mahi Mahi was prepared with extra blackened spices. It was cooked to a flakey white with heavy Cajun flavor. My side was also the salad with a vinaigrette dressing. The fish potion was large and was topped with a pesto aioli and cole slaw. Great sandwich. We sat outside. It was crowed but tolerable. Our server Bob was attentive and friendly. Value equation tipped to the right. Food was good but the prices were high. Quality has dissipated from this area so much within the past 10 years. Just the quality and presentation of food was underwhelming. I got the Mahi sandwich and it was so soggy I couldnt even pick it up. The fish was fishy. Quality is just not a thing anymore. I got the fish tacos (trigger fish) with fries and honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. To be fair, I prefer flour tortillas over corn tortillas so that may be a part of it. One other strange thing is that the fish tacos came on two small soft tortillas instead of one each which made it a little difficult to eat/keep in tact. I also ordered the Cowgirl Up cocktail and it was good. They offer two sizes for their cocktails- regular and large. The place was fine. Our server was not very attentive and only came to our table to get the order and the check. We sat with empty waters the whole time. The food was good. Nothing to hit home about. I asked for the ribeye quesadilla without sweet peppers and he told me he couldn't take the peppers off without the onions so he said he'll just give me the classic and add queso.
