My husband LOVES the pancakes at Canopy Road. He says it tastes like donut batter. Again, he LOVES it.

This place was a nice and clean breakfast spot! They have great indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were very friendly! Kids Mickey Mouse pancakes were adorable and reasonably priced. My husband had a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious with chorizo on it. My only disappointment was the biscuits. The biscuits themselves were delicious! However the jam was just packets or table jam and packets of honey. A homemade jam would go a long way. read more

While traveling to Panama City Beach we stopped here for brunch. Nice little place serving breakfast and lunch items. I got the 2 eggs ham toast and fruit. My husband got the meat omelet with Hash-browns and coffee. Both were good. We had great service, we had to wait a few minutes to get a table but it wasn't bad. We were glad we stopped. read more

We loved our Canopy Road Cafe experience on our vacation. The kids insisted we have breakfast here and no other place while we were in Santa Rosa. The kids were completely satisfied with their Mickey Mouse pancakes each morning. They were cooked to perfection and came out the perfect temperature. One day I had the meat lovers omelette and the other day I chose the Chicken Bacon Ranch Skillet. Each meal was bursting with flavor and had just the right portion size for us. Depending on your appetite, some meals could definitely provide leftovers. The staff is more than welcoming and checked on us often. Outside, the area is pristine with plenty of parking and safety signs as there are walkers, golf carts and automobiles all utilizing the surrounding space. We've seen this a few times while down at the condo, but haven't stopped in until now and moving forward it will be a go to on our list. First off we had our 8 week old baby with us and they were so considerate and helpful in giving us some extra time and not making us feel rushed at all. I truly appreciated that! They also answered all of our menu questions and gave us recommendations. We got the country fried steak, the breakfast quesadilla, and the churro waffle. Everything was absolutely delicious. I'm not sure if compared to the other items I would get the churro waffle again because you certainly can get more food with other menu options for the price, but I'd suggest it as a must try because it truly is like a churro and the salted caramel is amazing. Loved this location for breakfast. Nice tables indoors and outside they have tables with some funky chairs. We decided to sit inside. Too hot outside. Service was very good both times we ate here. Loved the variety of their breakfast menu. My daughter had the cinnamon roll French toast. She said it was great. I had the canopy road breakfast which was two eggs any way, meat, a side, etc. it was great with the bacon cooked crisp. The second time I had a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. It was really good too. My other daughter got a pancake. These pancakes are huge. Only get one unless you really can eat a lot. She ordered eggs and bacon with it because she didn't realize how huge the pancake was. The grandkids loved their blueberry pancakes. Hubby liked the biscuits and gravy so much he got it both times we came here. I will definitely eat here again. read more

Omg I love Canopy Road!!! This was my favorite spot growing up in tallahassee and I was ecstatic to see that they have one in 30A (made the 45 minute drive from Destin just for breakfast). The blueberry cobbler pancakes are the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! It features a blueberry compote and it was so sweet and tasty that I didn't even need syrup. I will always commend Canopy Road for offering veggie sausage, and this is a great place for vegetarians visiting 30A (especially because there are hardly any options). Only complaint is that they are so darn good they had a wait and it took a while to get the food. But it was worth it, hope to visit soon!! read more

The place wasn't busy yet, so the food came out really quickly. It's super clean and quiet, which was nice. They had gluten free substitution options and I had a Bacon, Egg and Cheese on GF Bread with hashbrowns. Breakfast sandwiches are pretty standard fare in general and the taste met, but didn't exceed expectations. Hashbrowns were perfect. The best part was the coffee, which despite being drip was definitely a good bean, roast and brew. Not oily or bitter in the slightest. My only criticism is that the ketchup was French's. In the south, that's like only having Pepsi I really liked the staff, too. They are doing a good job! read more

They have amazing pancakes and all different types of breakfast food. The service is amazing and the staff is always very nice. We had a very frustrating and disappointing experience here. We were initially told there would be a 15-minute wait, but we ended up waiting about 30 minutes just to be seated. Once we were finally taken to our table, no one greeted us or welcomed us--just handed us menus and walked away. We sat at the table for another 30 minutes without anyone coming by to take our drink order or even acknowledge us. I tried to make eye contact with multiple staff members, but they all ignored us and instead were focused on bussing other tables and chatting with other guests. It was as if we were completely invisible. Eventually, we flagged someone down, only to be told that we had somehow been forgotten. A staff member then came over and said they were short-staffed and actually closing--meaning they weren't going to serve us at all. After over an hour of waiting, we were essentially told to leave. As we walked out, we saw at least 8 other customers--who arrived after us--happily enjoying their food. This made the experience even more upsetting. I understand that staff shortages happen, but the lack of communication, hospitality, and basic courtesy was unacceptable. We left feeling completely disregarded and unwelcome. Came here for breakfast with my family on a Saturday in August on our last day of vacation. We had a larger party(7) but they said they could put two tables together for us. They said it would be about a twenty minute wait but we waited over a half hour and still weren't seated. We went up the podium and asked and there was still no table in sight. I actually figured out exactly what went wrong. A party came in after us and said they would sit outside since there was no wait to sit outside. They quickly came in and said it was too hot to sit outside. They then immediately sat this party next to the other open table thus giving them the table we were supposed to get. So basically they got to cut the line and took our table. Anyway, at this point we gave up on all sitting together and got two tables in separate parts of the restaurant which was a shame because we wanted to all enjoy one last meal together before going our separate ways. Despite this big mishap, I enjoyed our meal. They had so many items on the menu that looked good. The pancakes are ginormous. My husband and daughter shared the blueberry cobbler pancake. I had the cinnamon roll French toast and loved it. We also had a side of bacon and hashbrowns and both were cooked perfectly. Our waitress was great and was sure to come back around to refill coffee. My girlfriend has Celiac, and is therefore gluten-free. Went to Canopy Road, a favorite for her FSU days. Boy what a mistake that was. Our server did not have a clue about the menu or how to make suggestions. Seemed like they were out of everything too. We end up ordering our gluten-free entrees, and a gluten-free pancake to share. Everything is going great, until we get halfway done with the pancake and the server walks by and says, "Let me make sure I put gluten-free on that pancake." Turns out, she didn't not put a gluten free pancake into the POS, so a Celiac was negligently served gluten. To make matters worse, we asked for the pancake to be removed from the check, and she couldn't even do that. We left highly upset, and then my girlfriend spent two days being sick. I wanted to forego this review and speak to someone at Canopy Road, so I filled out their contact form online. Haven't heard a peep. This is unacceptable and we won't be back. read more

A hidden gem!!! Highly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch. My husband and I randomly came across this place on a rainy Saturday morning. We arrived around 9:30 and were seated immediately at the bar (20-30 min wait for a table). We actually liked sitting at the bar because we found it fun to see all of the prepared food/what other people were ordering. We ordered the BLT Benedict and Veggie Omelette, both with hash browns and thought everything was delicious. The omelette also comes with a piece of toast and the multigrain toast was delicious! Really cute spot we stumbled upon near our AirBNB. Folks were welcoming and we were seated quickly. But it took almost an hour for our food to come out. We got the impression it might have been forgotten because as soon as I finally asked about it, it came right out. And it was not warm. The kids French Toast was very small portion whereas the kids mickey mouse pancake was huge. However, I think it looked more like Fozzie from Sesame Street.
