"Imperfect Spa & Massage" I had a massage here about 3 months ago, and the person giving the massage was also manning the front desk. After 4 instances of leaving the massage room during my massage to tend and talk to other employees, I expressed my displeasure. She was apologetic and didn't accept a tip at the end which I offered so I decided to give her another chance and I returned this week. But - the same exact thing occurred! After she left the room to chat with someone else, and returned, I told her if she left again, that I would want to end the session. I told her this happened before with her and it's not professional. She took out google translate (that was nice) and said the economy was bad and they don't have a receptionist. That is not an excuse for accepting a 90-minute appointment and failing to fulfill the commitment. She couldn't guarantee that she wouldn't leave the room, so I ended it. It was better when Harmony ran the place. I would NOT recommend this establishment. Splendid Foot near Ranch 99 is much better and very professional. I didn't mention that she pressured me to pay as much cash as I had, the rest on CC, and she wanted a tip in advance. I told her my policy was to tip after the service based on quality (and I'm an excellent tipper)! I will never return there and caution you to save your time and money. read more

Booked my husband a massage here twice. Since we live down the street, it was a convenient spot. However, after trying this place out 2 times, my husband said he wouldn't go back. Nothing particularly awful. He just said they weren't good massages. Not worth it. We always go to Happy Feet downtown on Villa Street. At least once-twice a month. Some important things to note after visiting this massage parlor this past Saturday... As of July 2024, they do not accept credit cards for payment. It was a little inconvenient, but at least they told us in advance via text that the "credit card machine is out of order"... just be advised if you're hoping to use a credit card here. Also, the hours listed online are incorrect. According to the business card presented by staff and the hours posted on their signs on site, they close at 10:00pm. As for the actual massage, my partner and I each got a body massage in their couples room. The place was clean and inviting, but whether you get a good massage is dependent upon which masseuse you get. My bf had a pretty decent massage, thorough, good quality, good strength, even good communication. I, on the other hand, had a relaxing massage, sure, but not much tension relief, very little strength or technique applied, even with my masseuse attempting to use her forearms and elbows... the lack of pressure was seriously mysterious. I'd rather have a slightly painful deep tissue massage, or at least someone who can exert a little more power or is skilled enough to find my knots and focus on those. She did however do a reasonable job on my lower legs, but that's probably because they were so sore and tight to begin with (after my running). Also, there were some bareass moments that I'm not used to... I never go fully undressed down low but they seem to want to massage your bottom here and adjust your undergarments accordingly if you're not already naked on the massage table (this was apparent with both of our masseuses). There was even a point where the middle of my back to the bottom of my feet were fully uncovered, which is unusual for me because the massage therapists I've had before cover the parts of the body they are not massaging at the moment. Not a big deal to me, but worth noting for others who may not feel comfortable with this. The staff here were generally nice and easy to work with. But again, they don't seem to adequately train the massage therapists here to provide a satisfactory experience for all customers. I didn't get the names of our masseuses, just keep in mind that the quality here is not consistent or reliable, so you'll be taking your chances with what kind of massage you'll get. That, combined with the prices they charge, I'm giving 3 stars for overall value. read more

Came by for a combo massage the other night and it was a decent experience. Texted for an appointment and my masseur was available upon arrival. Perfect Spa & Massage took over Harmony massage and is located in a strip mall with a grocery and pharmacy. The parking lot and massage parlor were deserted the evening I stopped by. Opted for the $45 cash combo massage which started off in the communal room with 6 foot massage beds. The foot bath was warm and the therapist started off with a neck, head, and face massage before doing the foot and calve massage. Pressure was decent and some pressure points were hit. The remaining 30 minutes was a body massage in a private room which started off with a massage over a towel, oil massage, and then hot stones. The hot stones were hot and there were half a dozen hot stones which made it a relaxing massage. The restroom towards the back of the massage parlor was clean. $45 + tip for a one hour combo massage. There is a signage with suggested tip amounts ranging from $10-20 depending on the level of satisfaction. read more

This review is not about the massage but about the merchant dealing in bad faith - I authorized a different tip amount and was charged more [I authorized 20$ (22%) but was charged $22 (25%)] and yes I signed the receipt because I was talking to Laura the whole time and didnt expect a different amount to be charged then what I asked her to put on the tab. I have been coming to this place for the last 4 years (minus covid) since it was called Harmony. The massages have definitely improved as has the overall experience, but I was pleasantly surprised to see something like this happen - and only realized after i got a text from the bank. Now the $2 might seem small, but it wasn't what I authorized and yes I should have looked again before signing, but didn't expect something like this to happen. Received combo massage of foot and torso ... female masseuse polite but again limited English . Water for foot massage. was lukewarm, neck and back massage were fairly decent but felt rushed. I paid tip and cost of service at the very beginning when one woman said to do so . then at end of the service , women kept asking in her language for 20 dollars more for another tip which I refused since I already had given a 20 % tip on credit card . Yesterday night I was feeling very sour and painful for my body and I booked the online appointment for 1.5 hrs body massage in this new massage store. After she done a treatment for me, my back pain has less pain a lot. This massage store have changed a new employer and the new massager was very professional and done a good job for my back and neck pain treatment. The environment was also very clean and good and I request her to do the deep massage with hot store for my whole body. Other stores may charge more money for deep massage but their Swedish and deep massage are the same amount. It's really good deal for me. Finally my back and neck pain has almost gone because of her hard work for whole one and half hour. I really appreciate it a lot her big effort during this time. I definitely recommend everyone and my engineer friends to try this new store. They are soft opening now and recommend everyone also can book from online to avoid waiting time. I used to come to this location when it was Harmony Reflexology and since they've changed ownership the service is sooooo much better! I booked a same day massage appointment online because I'd had a really bad migraine for almost a week and nothing is done was helping. I was booked for my massage with May and she was a miracle worker! I let her know that I'd had a bad headache and she immediately recognized all of the tension in my neck and shoulders. She really concentrated on those areas and used her magical hands and fingers on my head. I felt like she really cared and wanted to help take my pain away. I'm the past under the old owners I felt rushed through the massages but not this time. When I was finished I thanked her profusely and the owner asked about my experience and I let her know it was amazing. After I posted my Yelp review (but not before), the new owner got in touch with me via email and wrote in a polite way. The new owner wrote "We wanted to take this opportunity to apologize to you for the late reply", making it appear as if it was not due to the negative review that the owner decided to respond at all. But all right, I decided to become engaged in the process to try to resolve the issue. They offered one 1-hr massage with my favorite masseur, Mike: "Meanwhile, we can offer you a free 1-hour foot massage with Mike or another staff of your choice and the store will pay for your visit to compensate for the inconvenience that you might have. " Note that this offer was not conditional on my removing the negative review. I reviewed the log of visits sent to me and compared it with the automatic emails that get sent each time an appointment is scheduled, whether scheduling is via email, phone, or Mindbody. In that log I saw 2 visits in June that did not have a corresponding email. So according to the emails, I had 8 visits and according to the log sent to me, I had 10. I wrote: "This is why out of the 10 visits you think I had, there were only 8 I did have. I am attaching screenshots. I hope this can remove the confusion and I can get 2 services from my package scheduled soon, as well as the complimentary service with Mike you nicely offered to me to compensate for the inconvenience and the time I have spent and might still need to spend to resolve this issue. " I also wrote, on my own initiative: "Once it is resolved, I will remove the Yelp review that speaks of you unfavorably provided you first remove the 5 star review of the business written by the business owner." The old owner, Ivy, got involved at this point (I copied her on my email) and said that she would look into this issue. She also wrote to me: "Btw, I was never contacted by this issue. Ivy" In other words, the new owner had not contacted Ivy before I did. Ivy provided a phone call log that showed that I called her in June. So we concluded that I did have two appointments in June of which I do not have a record and somehow the system malfunctioned two times and did not send emails confirming scheduling. In sum, I trusted Ivy's phone records. The new owner then wrote to me: "We believe Ivy's reply resolved the issue. However, we can still compensate you for the confusion that may have occurred regardless of whose fault it is. We can still offer you a free one-hour foot massage with our staff of your choice if you can delete the review you had for our new listing. It has hugely impacted our business reputation since these are not the truth based on our understanding, your package doesn't have any more sessions remaining." - the owner wrote as if my review had been only about appointments without matching records and not about the owner who wrote a 5 star review of their own business, nor about the new owner's rudeness and lack of responsiveness. I then checked on here and saw that the owner had removed their own review. I emailed: "I see that you have removed your self-serving 5 star review of your own business. Do you intend to continue staying out of violating Yelp content guidelines? I have a copy of the review you posted. Further, what I wrote is still true in that it reports on how rude you were PRIOR to my posting the review. Had I not posted the review, you would not have bothered. Still, if you promise me that you will not post 5 star reviews of your own business, I will remove my review. " The owner did NOT promise not to post more 5 star reviews of their own business, nor did the owner fess up that they had done so until I called them on it. Instead, the new owner wrote to me: "Besides, thank you for your caring for the Yelp policy. This is our thing to discuss with Yelp. Our attitude was not rude. We are just informing you that based on what we see on your account. We are not a charity business, we can't say you still have visites left when you actually don't. In addition, we tried to explain to you multiple times for your visit history. In addition, the change of ownership, as mentioned previously, was on July 1, 2022. We offer free one hour massage is to compensate for your emotionotnot because its our fault. We are still offering it to you because we wanted to keep our promise to you. Now the issue has been resolved, but we are still keeping our promise. We hope you can delete the review, if you want to delete we will take legal actions to protect our reputation as it's not the truth. " Note that they were not keeping the promise. The 1 hour with Mike was offered to compensate me for the inconvenience and not conditionally upon my removing the review. Later, the offer was made conditional. The price that the owner tried to extract from me for that one hour massage with Mike was too high: I would rather keep and update my Yelp review. Clearly, I won't be back but will miss Mike a lot. read more

I went to this place before and had a bad experience because the therapist did the opposite of what I told her and she was super rude the whole time. I saw a "grand opening" sign in front so I decided to try it again because it's so close to home. I called and made sure they can speak English as I felt my last bad experience was because my therapist did not understand me. I also said , I only want a neck and shoulder massage, can you do that. The lady said yes. I get there, there's a package for a neck and shoulder massage. I point to that and tell her I do not want anything but next and shoulder. There was no one else there. I realized who ever answered the phone was not there at all. The whole place eas empty. She asks me to pay upfront. I get this gut feeling that this lady is the same one I had before despite the "grand opening sign". She seemed super unfriendly and didn't speak much English, however, I've already paid at this point. We go to the massage room. I remind her again to not message my legs and esp not my arms, literally "DO Not touch my arms, it's injured. I only want a neck and shoulder massage" The first thing she does is message my back a little and start on my legs! I tell her to stop and that I've told her not to do the legs. She stops. She's messaging my back through a thick towel by the way, for about 15 mins, I barely feel anything. She goes back to massaging my legs! Wtf. I reminded her again to stop and to not work on my legs or arms. My neck is why I am there and I do not want to spend the time where I don't need it. 10 mins later, she suddenly grabs both arms, massing really hard. I scream in pain. She backs off laughing and acting annoyed that I startled her. I tell her I told her not to touch my arms because I'm recovering from a fracture! At this point, she could have caused more damage and I'm pissed! The rest of the massage was a nasty mess. The massage consisted of 20 mins of her just rubbing oil on, not massaging, literally rubbing oil on, you can hear the oil like you hear a tank of water. Then she puts hot stones, she tells me "hot!" Puts it on my back, I tell her omg, this is burning but she proceeds to run them up and down and I'm super worried she's burning my skin off. She's banging the stones together , it's so loud. In the end, she slabs oil on your face! It felt so nasty , then she puts it on your head, on your hair and creates a hot matte knot of your hair. - all this after I've told her to not touch anything but my neck and shoulders. I was so relieved when she was done. I get dressed and open the door and she was literally standing outside it in my face. The place was completely empty. I just turned to get the heck out of there and she chases me down saying "tip! Tip!" OMG, I felt like telling her I'm going to send her my medical bill for the fracture she probably worsened. She points to a sentence on a sign she sad that recommends I give her $20!! I gave her $10 ( message was $55) and even so I wish I hadn't. What a horrible experience. She was lazy, rude and disregarded the Client. My arm has been so painful all day. read more

I think the change is a positive one as the large room is now subdivided with panels providing more privacy for the customers. I booked a 60 minute massage for $55 special and during the massage the massage lady asked if I wanted to upgrade to the 90 minute massage for an additional $30. I first said no but she kept insisting so I end up saying yes. The massage was good but it wasn't the best I've gotten. First time coming here and it was my fault for not paying attention to the sign that says Cash Only. I only brought enough cash to give tip and the rest I would use my card. When it came to paying the lady was not happy because I was using my card. I apologized and said I was not aware and that it was my fault for not paying attention to the "Cash Only". I was willing to go get cash but she end up called her manager which I also offered that I can go next door to get cash. They said no, that it was ok and that they will make a one time exception but my amount was going to increase. At that point I told them that it was fine, just charge what they need to charge so I can go home. What I didn't like was that once the lady got off the phone, she was insisting that I wasn't giving her enough tip and was asking me for more. I was giving her 23% tip and she insisted that I needed to give her more. I wanted to get out of there so I told her to just charge my card for more which at the end I end up giving her almost 30% tip!! I would say that I'm always a pretty good tipper and I never give less than 20% but I've NEVER been to a place where they are not happy with the tip I'm giving them and they insist I give them more. This was a turnoff for me and I don't think that is professional to do. I do have to say the place is really clean but as far as me going back and recommending it to my friends and family, I don't think I will be doing that or going back myself.
