I had an incredibly disappointing experience at K Spa. My fiancé and I booked a couples massage the day before our wedding so we could relax before our big day. Our appointment was confirmed, and we even received confirmation at 8:14a.m. the morning of our appointment. We arrived on time, only to receive a text at 11:02am while we were already outside the spa--saying they no longer had availability and asking us to reschedule. It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the front desk employee didn't even handle the situation herself. Instead, she called someone else on the phone to speak with us, and that person was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. Canceling a confirmed appointment after we've already arrived, especially the day before our wedding, showed a complete lack of respect for our time. We planned this experience to help us unwind before an important milestone, and instead it added unnecessary stress. I would not recommend this spa. We wanted to purchase the Groupon couples massage deal. They said that they would honor the Groupon price, which worked for us. We scheduled it for Sunday. Everything seemed fine, until Saturday came around, and then they texted us and said that they could do an hour later from when we had scheduled. I said that it would not work for us, and would the original time work. We went back-and-forth several times, and then finally got a text saying that we would have it at 4 PM. We arrived, and there was no one at the front desk. It had a calm atmosphere and the location is ideal. That's pretty much all that that's working for them. We waited for about 10 minutes until after the massage was supposed to take place, and I turned to my husband and said "let's go." (My parents were watching our kids, and the delay at that point almost felt disrespectful). They caught us as we were leaving and said that they would be able to fix up our massage beds in a couple minutes. We waited around for two minutes, but they never returned. Obviously, they haven't figured out scheduling and organization, which is a shame. Not having someone at the front desk also detracts from the experience - it made it feel confusing when we walked in, rather than calm, warm, and welcoming. The aesthetic of the spa was so welcoming and clean, you feel relaxed right when you walk in. We went for the couples massage which didn't feel any different than a solo massage. My masseuse was A M A Z I N G!!! I have a lot of knots from strength training and just built up from over the years and she tried her best to get them out. Loved this new and intimate spa in Los Altos! My wife and I went here for a couples massage after a busy week. The interior is so new and clean, you would've thought they opened just the day before. We found them on Groupon and tempered our expectations. When we checked in we added their special that included hot stones and aromatherapy. Despite finding them on Groupon, they easily exceeded our expectations with their amazing service and technique. The couples massage room was as you'd expect at a massage place. This was an extremely disappointing experience from the outset for the following reasons: 1) Appointment experience: I called as well as texted (assuming language barriers) to ask for an appointment for 3 people in separate rooms. I was told there was availability. When we got there we got an appointment for 2 in the same room, i.e. a couples massage. Their way to pacify the person who was left out of the massage experience was to give them a $30 gift card to use oils for their next massage. 2) Massage: The massage itself, while I was told was good, lasted less than 60 mins. For a 7pm appointment, they began the massage at 7:10pm, and we were out fully dressed by 8:10pm. 3) First-time client discount: When I made the appointment, I was told that there was a $20 discount for first-timers. This was not included. My sister, who was unaware of this paid full price. Overall, I would not return to this place unless improvements are made in the customer experience and with providing services for the time duration we paid for. read more

Very professional! We booked 90 minutes deep tissue couples massage and they really went at it. I was very impressed how they consistently put strength and pressure throughout the massage and they never tried to make conversations with us despite that I didn't have a language barrier with them. I started going to K Spa because my regular therapist in Los Altos is out on maternity leave. So far, I've had a very good experience with them, though sometimes communication is difficult, which is why I only gave 4 stars. The massages themselves are why I've continued to go there. I have a perennial issue with one shoulder and Amanda did an excellent job relieving the pain I've been experiencing with it. It's great to have an alternative right in Los Altos and with the discounts available through Groupon the service they deliver is really very reasonable. Definitely worth trying out. read more
