While service by the technician has been fantastic and I have been recommending people, just had a very bad experience yesterday with the owner when trying to reschedule my 5:15 afternoon appt first thing yestetday morning. I actually even was vulnerable and honest about my predicament and she had absolutely no care and talked in a condescending tone and showed little care to none. While I am in the customer service business and understand policies, I also understand being human and having compassion. When speaking with Joyce, the owner, her manor in speaking to clients with little to no sympathy or compassion and literally hanging up on a client was certainly very surprising and dissapointing-- to then sending the text saying my appt was canceled and cant reschedule until the 50% fee is paid- which by the way was trying to reschedule for the same week. If i wouldve experienced better treatment i would've been willing to pay the fee or figure how to make the appt. Needless to say, this 1-2 min interaction completely tarnished my experience and will not be returning. But thank you the the Technician Channing who has always been amazing. I'm sad to leave this review but I want to be honest. I have received 2 treatments and none of them worked. Yes I know that experience vary. However I had laser done before and at the end of the day for me it was a waste of money. But here are reasons why I deducted stars: esthetician did not leave the room giving me space to take off clothes. She might be ok with people getting naked in front of her, I was not. My first ever laser experience and it was great! Initially, I was nervous to go full Brazilian, so I scheduled a simple bikini treatment instead. I got there, and they were all very nice, comforting, and informative. I was scheduled with Channing. She is extremely nice and walked me through everything. She tested the laser out so I would know how it felt, it was so light, so we worked together to make sure it was strong (for best results) without too much pain! I'm in the middle of Brazilian and underarm treatments and was so nervous even though I've been waxing for years (I'm a weeny with a not so high pain tolerance) and they make it so fast and easy. I've had different girls for my appointments and every single one did a great job of distracting me and making sure I was comfortable. Just know, everyone I know who's done laser says it will take quite a few sessions for some people depending on their hair. So don't expect it all gone in the first few! I had such a good experience here! To start off, I called at about noon and on the same day at 4pm they got me into an appointment. It was my first time with laser hair removal and I was unsure if I wanted a bikini or Brazilian but the girls helped me out in my decision and didn't try to oversell anything (the prices are amazing also!). I cannot express how disappointed I am and the service I had done. I was getting married and wanted to do laser treatments so I wouldn't have to worry about waxing or anything like that on my honeymoon. I did my research on what type of lasers would be beneficial as I am a woman of color. When I spoke with Joyce for my first appointment she assured me that her laser would be OK for my skin type. She also told me that because of the hair being dark and coarse I should see her 2 times during the hair growth cycle Incase there were any hairs being missed. I saw Joyce for 5 appointments and even referred a friend who also started coming with me to laser her legs. After I started experiencing itching and a rougher skin texture Joyce gave me a packet of 2 loofa like circles and recommended I should just exfoliate, this was a normal occurrence. Turns out that's the worst thing I could have done. Well over a year later I'm left with EXTREME hyperpigmentation on the lower half of my face, my dermatologist says it appears I was badly burned. So now i am using a Dr prescribed cream trying to fade away this disaster which will take a very long time. It's depressing and bothersome especially as someone in the beauty industry to have to go to such lengths to even out my skin complexion on a daily basis. There are no more days of pulling my hair up and running out of the house without makeup. My friend continued to see Joyce a few more times after I did, mentionto her what happened and she never once called to check in. In conclusion if you are a woman of color I HIGHLY suggest finding another alternative. I'd rather deal with waxing then everything thing that came with this. It's just not worth it.
