Faith did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and she did an absolutely FABULOUS job! She was so warm and funny, and really helped me feel calmer during a very stressful time. Faith took her time and talked me through different hair and makeup options. I did a trial run just a couple of days before the wedding, and I'm so glad I did. I feel like some HMUA would get upset if you ask for changes, but Faith was so receptive and professional when I told her about adjustments I would want for the day, and she really took it seriously and made sure that I was 100% happy with my wedding look. We made slight changes to the makeup and ended up doing a different hairstyle which was perfect. Ask for Faith, you won't be disappointed! She's seriously the BEST. She also takes care to set the right tone/vibe for the experience to make it more fun-- it is a celebration, after all! :D If I could go back and change something, it wouldn't be with my makeup or skin prep but my husband's-- after our "first kiss," my makeup "cracked" and we had to do a little emergency fixer-upper makeup before taking photos. It was a little stressful, but I sincerely don't believe it was the fault of my makeup or the artist-- I think she primed and set my makeup well. But I think the oil on my husband's skin was what ruined my makeup. So just a pro tip to any future brides reading: Have your fiancé blot his nose and T-zone before the ceremony and thank me later! ;) I worked with Erika and Ipo arranging the dates and what I wanted for my package and they were very kind and helpful. Book with this company for your wedding, you won't regret it. If I could go back and do it again, the only thing I would change would be to add services for my mom and other family to get their hair and makeup done with me, too, but it just wasn't in my budget nor would it fit into our wedding day timeline. The services here are pricey, but you WILL get professional quality in return. You get what you pay for, and I feel that this was money well spent so that I could look my best on my wedding day. I booked Perfectly Made in early 2023 for my 2025 wedding. I found them on IG and chose them for hair and makeup for my wedding. I had an initial call with Erika before I signed the contract and shared the concerns I had with my skin and hair to get recommendations. Leading up to the wedding day, they have an online platform to fill out details like the type of skin you have, hair type, and an option to include inspo photos for hair and makeup. They were always quick to respond via email and I thoroughly enjoyed my interaction leading up to the wedding. I requested 3 hair and makeup, 1 bride hair and makeup + trial session, and groom pampering. The services were expected to be completed between 9-12:30 pm. I had my hair and make up trial a few days before my wedding with Erika and it was a wonderful experience. I timed my trial and it took 1.5 hrs to do makeup then hair. I shared some changes I wanted for the wedding day after the fact via email and reminded them of the changes and feedback I shared during the wedding day. Fast forward to the wedding day. We drove over an hour with traffic to the venue, on my way there and received a call and text from Erika informing me that her hair stylist was running late. This is understandable, we are human and traffic is unpredictable so okay that's fine. They were expected to be set up at 8:45 am, with us arriving at 9 am. We all arrived at 9 am ready to go and make up started. However, hair was delayed and I could tell that they were getting stressed with the time. There were some comments made while I was getting ready that didn't sit right with me and I brushed it off at the time. After having a really good vibe during the trial, the wedding day felt off. I was also disappointed neither me nor my bridal party were informed they were leaving before doing touch ups and putting my veil in. I ran back after photos and they were gone :( After the fact, someone from my bridal party mentioned to me how they said they wished they spent more time on me and how they just ran out of time. They're definitely great at what they do and have tons of experience in the bridal industry. I think and hope I had an isolated experience. My wedding day was my first time ever getting my hair and makeup professionally done. I have typical Asian hair that doesn't hold a curl well and I have combination skin that tends to get oily. Our venue in the windward side didn't have a getting ready room and we had a morning ceremony. We had to get a hotel room in town (AC is highly recommended to make sure that the hair and makeup set properly, especially with the heat of the styling tools) and wake up early enough for us to get hair and makeup done, get dressed, checkout, and get driven to the windward side. For hair and makeup for myself and two bridesmaids, that meant a 6:00 am start time (which means waking up at 5:00am or earlier). To my surprise, Erika and Ipo brought the energy, even at the crack of dawn! My friends and I are usually on the quieter side but we were all laughing so hard that I was worried that we would get a noise complaint from the hotel lol. They're both so naturally funny and have a great dynamic together. Definitely eased any nerves I would've had. Booking a full suite is expensive AF so I checked with them ahead of time and they said that the two-bedroom bungalow (there was a relatively small living room space) would work for them. It was a bit tight (they bring a big rolling cart with them with all of their supplies and need space to lay out all of their makeup and styling tools) but they made do and didn't complain. Regardless, I would double-check with them about what type of space/furniture (ex: bar stools) they require for the size of your party and make sure to plan to tell how the parking situation will work ahead of time. My hair ended up falling relatively flat by the start of our reception (ceremony and family/couple photos were outside in the humidity) but still had a nice wave to it, and my makeup still looked great! My bridesmaids' hair and makeup looked perfect throughout the day (I think because their hair is dyed, it holds curls better). Although Erika was chosen by my wedding vendor, I am so glad she was. I was nervous to get make up done professionally again, I am half Korean and have an olive skin tone, a lot of makeup artist think I'm tan and always match me with orange foundation that is too dark, they also love the give that heavy Instagram makeup look. When I met Erika I told her that I loved Asian trend style makeup, glowing skin, tinted lips, big eyes with wispy lashes. After lots of back and forth immediate communication with multiple artists including Erika over HoneyBook, I finally decided to choose her for my hair, makeup, and full back tattoo cover up. She was kind enough to waive the early bird arrival fee and her costs were lower than others. I was so impressed her team was able to stick to the timeline even with last minute add ons. I had couple of women (myself included) who have never had their make up professionally done, and Erika made sure each of us were comfortable with what she was doing, and was incredibly helpful in making "look" decisions. I had a great experience with Erika. She and another woman did the hair and makeup for myself, my three bridesmaids, and my mother for my summer wedding. My first interaction with Erika was for the hair and makeup trial that I scheduled. I highly recommend doing a trial because not only was I able to get to know Erika before the big day, putting me at ease but I was also able to try out different makeup/hair options. My mother sat in on the trial as Erika came to my home and even my mother said that Erika was calm, sweet, and easy to work with. For the day of the wedding Erika did everyone's hair but she also did my makeup as I did the trial with her. Erika helped me to be calm on the day of but excited at the same time.
