I loved the ginger kick of the Carrot Top smoothie, and how it balanced that out with just the right amount of sweetness. Our only complaint was that we were just passing through Monterey and couldn't go back again. But if the owners ever decide to expand to the Oakland area, they will have at least two happy people! read more

I ordered a Son of Beach smoothie and my husband ordered the Better Brekky Açaí bowl. My smoothie was average but my husband's bowl was awesome! It was super thick and consistent and stayed solid for a while. Prices were normal compared to other smoothie and açaí bowl places. It's in an awesome location right near the wharf The only con for me would be the paper straws. Smoothies and Paper straws don't go well together. I really like this shop. My juice is the super green because I'm really trying to round out my diet and seldom get enough vegetables. The super green really packs them in. It's an acquired taste. Their other juices are all delicious. A huge highlight to me is their shot. I don't know what they call it but its orange and in a bottle a bit larger than a roll of 35mm film. It's extremely potent and delicious. The staff has always been exceedingly pleasant. I only wish they could figure out a way to get back on the wagon with the glass bottles. There are numerous health and food safety concerns with re-usable drinking containers but it would be great if they could crack the code because when I am coming here regularly I feel like scum racking up the plastic bottle count.
