Ordered the ham and egg breakfast sandwich on a Portuguese roll, asked to add lettuce but it was not added. No sauce of any kind, so it was super dry. My bad for not asking for a condiment. Ordered a chicken salad wrap for my lunch and it came with a bag of chips. Looks to have been grilled, packaged in a clear plastic clamshell container. Asked for lettuce and onion, and it was included. I think I will attribute the very strange taste and texture to "don't buy chicken salad from a donut shop", my bad. Lastly, ordered a butternut donut (because how can you order from heav'nly donuts, and not order a doughnut?) Unfortunately, I hate shredded coconut and this is covered in semi-toasted coconut. Maybe it's my misunderstanding, but my idea of butternut is the small crunchy yellow "crumbs" like at Dunkin - should be called a coconut donut? (but I guess it's different at each donut place.) I also had an iced spiced brown sugar latte with oat milk, which tasted like just milk when I first got it. I asked for an extra espresso shot which made it marginally better, but still not worth what I paid. I expected to have to pay extra for the shot but they didn't charge me which was nice. In particular, we love that the wraps are never over-dressed or wet. The bread is crisply toasted and when you bite into it, you don't get a juicy waterfall on your shirt. The first impression is nice as the place is inviting with nice light and a good deal of indoor seating. They also have lots of menu items and a good pastry selection. I ordered a latte and a pastry. The walk-up window is on the back where you will find a couple of parking spots. Most of them were taken (by staff?) and there is one handicapped spot at the end of the row furthest from the walk-up order window on that side of the building. Watch for cars driving around the building before crossing! The two staff members we encountered were pleasant with a smile on their face and cheerful. I ordered a hot, house blend coffee with milk, so easy and quick. They also offer a dark roast if that's your preference. The coffee was a bit bitter, but not too much (as compared to another recent take away coffee I had) so that's a win with a nice amount of milk. The drive-thru lane took a couple of minutes. Nothing crazy. As the order and pick-up windows are only a car length apart, the order is made just before you receive it, so if someone has a large order, the line would move a little bit slower. It wasn't a busy time of the day and we were only the 4th car in line so it was a pretty quick visit. If we find ourselves in need of caffeine while in the area, I would try this Aroma Joe's again.
