The facility is usually clean and MOST of the time, I don't have problems with the sunless tanning machines. My biggest problem with this location is that when certain employees are working, I get a 25-30 minute lecture about why I need to buy their products. You know those people at the mall who try and grab you and convince you that their products are the absolute best? Yeah, kinda like that but more annoying. I'd say 4-5 times I've come in and one of the two sunless tanning machines weren't working or my spray tan got jacked up because someone didn't do something right. This place is too pricy for mistakes like this frequently.

I don't know the particulars but they use to be Malibu Tan. You could join, pay a monthly fee or purchase minutes, to include prepaid minutes. Not only is PBT extremely overpriced for their facilities and services but they no longer will honor my Malibu Tan minutes which were worth a couple hundred dollars. When they bought Malibu Tan I was told our minutes would be honored with the new company no problem. I was never told I had a time limit or expiration date! When I went the other day, I said "It sure would have been nice if someone had informed me that they were set to expire so I could have used them or transferred to another member." I was told by some unfriendly irritated employee that "tanners were notified". Not if they didn't come in often because it' was winter and they were embracing it and it's pale skin. They didn't call or email me and I'm thinking of taking this a step further. I think what they did was illegal and if so (my friend is in law school) I plan to get my money back. This is so unprofessional and dishonest. I know you've lost many loyal customers because of this as I've read other reviews. same shock and utter disappointment I had and still have. Greed is what ends up ending little rinky dinky places like this. AND yes, at this location they are like door-to-door sales men or a used car salesman pushing their lotions and more over priced stuff onto you. No means no! I was weaseled out of money this way though it was some deal on buying more tanning credits (when they were still Malibu but some employees remained) in another unreal occurrence with this establishment. This is the only place near me that I have time for so I'm paying a small fortune to tan here JUST for the next month or two.

I've got 2 spray tans from her so far and they were both perfect- no discoloration or blotchiness anywhere! There's 2 options for the tans: 4 hour or 8 hour. I've tried both and I think I'll continue to do the 8 hour since it seemed to last a few more days than the 4 hour. Most recently I had a red carpet event and she made me all tan and glowing. She's the only person I'll go to from here on out. 10/10 recommend!

However, they also don't inform you that even though their hours say that they are open until 8:00 p.m. they close the spray tanning machine down at 7:30 so they can clean it and be out of there by 8:00 p.m. Due to the fact that I live and work in Houston, I am not able to get there any earlier than 7:30 p.m. and am told that I can't get a refund even though I was never informed that I had to be there before 7:30 p.m. to do the tanning in the spray tanning booth. Now I'm not able to use a membership that I paid $80 for and only tanned once and they refuse to give me a refund. We bought a ONE MONTH membership but have now been charged for two months past that. The manager doesn't respond back after the first attempt to get the refund. Things are electronic now, it is easy to credit back...they just hope you'll forget about it and then they can continue charging you. Plus, the place is run by a bunch of kids who are usually on their phones or napping on the couch. This place owes me $347 so far for something I'm not even using. and I'm sure I'll have to dispute with my bank in order to get the $$ back. Malibu Tan is so much better and right across the street.
