When I noticed her new glasses were bifocals, I informed her there must be a mistake, because all my daughter's lens are single vision. She insisted my daughter has had bifocals for the past 2yrs. I told her no, that's not accurate, back and forth. She turns the laptop towards me and says let me show you. I said I don't need to see inaccurate information and took my daughter current glasses she got 2022 and said this her last glasses and there single vision and laid it down on the desk for her to examine. Instead, this woman all of a sudden raised her voice accused me of yelling at her and that I threw my daughter's glasses at her, right in front of my daughter and others that were in the area. I was taken aback and got angry and then I raised my voice saying "what did you just say? I didn't throw anything at you! Why would you lie and behave so unprofessional in front of other people? I immediately told her, to get someone else. Another person came, she too was insistent claiming my daughter has bifocals and even said she got new bifocal lens last year Not true. She also said her current glasses from 2yrs ago was actually from 2017. Wrong again. Then she says, your right that is from 2yrs ago. I told her to redo her new glasses in single vision and left. I later got a call from office manager and apparently that woman who started this entire situation told the manager I called her a name. That didn't happen either. The manager said she stands by their records. I realized at that moment this office was unwilling to admit or even consider the information in my daughter's records may be wrong and that a mistake was made. Any professional office would of instead said, we'll look into the records and see what's happened, because the records say she had bifocals, but her current and past glasses are all single vision. Nope, they're unwilling to admit they could be wrong. The unprofessional conduct from employees and that awful situation experienced from Mt Baker Vision that day, ended my decades long relationship as customer. What I experienced that day, I will not forget. I left review on their website. It never posted or was deleted.

PeaceHealth's Center for Senior Health in Bellingham, WA has been my provider for a dozen years…read more The doctors have been great, but today I had an experience with the front office/nursing staff that is making me reconsider my choice as a health provider. I had an appointment with a nurse for a shot, checked in online, and checked in again when I arrived. The receptionist told me to take a seat. After a half hour of waiting, I checked with the receptionist. She told me that one nurse didn't come to work and, after some discussion, she suggested that I reschedule for another day. What upset me most as a senior was that no one in reception had the courtesy or caring to tell me that no one could see me. If I hadn't checked with the clerk again, I might have waited for hours with no service. Making this worse was that I had driven 50 miles for the appointment. This very poor peri-medical service, especially for a senior.

My father has cancer, severe liver disease, and takes medication that suppresses his immune system, so our family was eager to get a covid test quickly. My mother speaks slowly, and her English takes patience to understand. I fully acknowledge that it's not as easy to understand as fluent English. But the front desk staff was: 1) impatient and talked over my mother when she tried to ask questions 3) seemed dismissive about my mother's concerns that she might have Covid-19 4) was unclear about next steps 5) demonstrated no sense of compassion for a sick elderly woman 6) Lacked competence to communicate with a non-native English speaker Thankfully my sister was present and took over the phone call so that my mother could schedule a Covid-19 test. Our siblings and their partners work in healthcare as therapists and doctors both in Whatcom County and other areas of the country. We know from experience that health clinics can communicate compassionately and competently with ALL of their patients if their staff is properly trained. My mother was not treated with compassion or competence by Center for Senior Health. If they make improvements, I will update this review. * We appreciate Dr. Naori Yamashiro as an excellent and respectful physician for my mother. Hopefully the remainder of the staff can catch up.

My fiancee made this appointment two months ago after her PCP sent a referral over. She has a…read morepretty serious eye condition and needs to see a specialist so she doesn't go blind and her current eye doc is out of his range of expertise. They cancelled on her less then 24 hours before her appointment because they don't take her insurance, which means they didn't bother to confirm her insurance before they accepted the referral. Not to mention she called them a few weeks ago to confirm everything was in the clear before her appointment (she had some insurance difficulties) and they told her she was all good.

My my vision right away was not good so I had to retake the round of drops. The second round improved my vision but I needed to have the bottom tear duct plugged. Best vision that I could have hoped for. The doctor wanted me in for a 6 month follow up which I went to. But, now the bills start rolling in with explanations that we are outside the "global" time of 90 days. When I asked on the pricing up front the response was that it included any follow up treatment and care. I guess that they are as good as their word. I really can't say enough great things about North Sound Endodontics. As with most people, I didn't…read morewake up on a Tuesday morning expecting to have to go to the endodontist later that day. However, a long night of bad tooth pain told a different story. I called North Sound Endodontics immediately when they opened at 8 a.m., explained my immense pain, and they were able to confirm my dentist's referral and have me in the chair by 11:30 am. A mere hour and a half or so later, I was pain free and my root had been successfully canaled. The staff here, from the kind of woman who answered the phone, to the front desk staff, to the assistants, to the endodontist herself, we're all first class. The facility itself was modern and clean. I felt safe in their hands, and heaven forbid I should need another root canal I would not hesitate to go here again.

What a terrible place. Don't go there!…read more Six months ago I needed a root canal. My dentist's usual root canal specialist was having issues so I got referred to North Sound Root Canal. At first things went well: they were courteous and professional. Dr. Simcock introduced himself briefly. The procedure was going fine until they get to the part where they use a bleaching agent. I had root canals before and I don't recall anyone else using bleach. Anyway, the mouth cover must have been poorly locked in place because the bleach starts dripping down into my throat. Just imagine, sitting there with your mouth numb and wide open, barely able to breath, with bleach burning into your throat! I had to make them stop. The doctor reacted like he didn't know what was going on. Anyway, this was almost the end of the procedure, he finished off and I was out of there. Strangely, no one in there was willing to talk about what happened. Fast forward to today. I am sitting in front of the TV eating milk chocolate and the crown on that same tooth comes off. My regular dentist takes a look and finds that the root canal doctor had left a temporary filling instead of a permanent compound. There was no explanation on my chart as to why, nor any indications to my dentist to remove the temporary filling with permanent compound. Over time, the temporary filling degraded and the crown came off. My dentist was able to remove the temporary filling, cleanse the area well and seal it back. But after giving $2,200 to North Sound for the root canal, now I am looking at having to spend thousands of dollars more on a new crown due to the incompetence of Dr. Simcock and North Sound Root Canal Specialist.
