These guys saved me from power flushing my 160K mile trannie. Tech warned me that would just kick up a bunch of gunk and probably make it worse. He also warned me after the fluid change (no power flush) that it might shift hard for a couple of weeks while the trannie was settling in, and sure enough, it did and has now settled just like he said it would. I've had brakes done previously. Shocks and struts as well. Just had a starter changed on our other car (they squeezed us on for that one). Always good work and good advice. I have taken my vehicle there for a heater core replacement and have never really trusted shops with my vehicle before but I was told they were good.. so I took it there and they got it done with in a day and they did good job so I started taking truck there again for a tune up a miss fire and I wanted it done right I took it there got it done same day took it home my pvc valve was fluttering really loud, my spark plug wires weren't clicked in all the way causing my truck to miss fire a lot more and when I took it back for the pvc valve they fixed it the first time but when I called about the spark plug wires and told him he told me that it wasn't true and didn't really believe me...so then I fixed it my self and just re did the wires and I had no more vibration when at a stop no more shaking nothing and I just wanted to put that out there to others read more

My truck had like 20 check engine codes come on I asked a friend from Lodi who's a good shop to take my truck to? Took my camaro in to get a exhaust muffler installed, it didn't fit but they still provided another option when I thought I would have to go back and get it. Les and his crew is awesome. This is the second time I brought my car in. They went above and beyond my expectations. This time around, I thought my car was dead and was going to have to get rid of it since its a 2007 Acura and has a lot of mileage on it. I decided to bring my car in to be sure to let them diagnose it, turns out he was able to diagnosed the issue and repair it right away even though I didn't need it fixed right away since I am teleworking. i thought it was mu turbo but it was actually the coils and spark plugs. They saved me from buying a new car. They are honest and straight forward. It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic now and days and I have to say this place is the best!! Had them install some New Catalytic converters on a 07 Camry that needed them to pass smog. Check engine light was on and i wasted time and money at a auto shop in town that lead me to believe it needed a new oxygen sensor. After that didnt work i took it to the dealer and paid for a diagnosis. They let me know what was wrong and gave me a high price quote to fix it. I came to performance and they offered to fix it at a fraction of what the dealer wanted. Literally i paid 60% less for the job and the car runs fine and just passed smog. read more

Needed a new fuel sensor to pass my smog. Service was quick, the parts were just as quick, and even threw in some free extra labor due to circumstances not their fault or even related to them. Also, the sensor wasn't resetting, so when I would come by for a recheck several times, I could barely have a seat before he rechecked my sensors and I was outta there. Highly recommend. read more

I am extremely happy with Performance Muffler and Brake, from the first phone call until I left it was an awesome experience. I had so many questions and concerns with getting a new exhaust system put on my car and I wanted to make sure that I was choosing the correct one. I saw a system online and called to see how much they wanted to install it and was quoted a price (it is so nice to have a shop that will install parts that they did not order!!!). When I asked for the price I was asked what I was looking to do and what I wanted from it. When I told them what I wanted I was given other options instead of ordering the whole system. My car had 75 miles on it and I was recommended an alternative that saved me $400!!! I couldn't make a decision right there because I needed to attack YouTube to see what the different exhaust would sound like. I was impressed with how spot on the advice from the shop was with how the exhausts sound. They really know what they are talking about here. I went in, put a deposit down for parts and scheduled an appointment to get them installed. I arrived and drove my car right in and they took the time to show me what they were doing and let me take pictures (for Facebook of course!). They told me how long it would take and I left to go on a run. I came back early and my car was done! They let me take pictures of the car again and they even filmed a video for me starting the car with the new exhaust! The customer service is outstanding here, they truly care about what they do and their work is outstanding! Not only did they get the job done faster than expected, they lowered the price because of it! Bonus! Les the owner of the shop is great! I've taken my car in here for an oil change, and they had it done in no time with several other cars in the shop also. The guy who did my oil chage, Clarence, also checked the air in my tires, he said the passenger front tire looked low. He aired it up for me and checked all the fluids too. There was no extra charge for him doing it! I was so happy, and i really did not expect him to do that. Other shops i've been too would have probably overlooked it! Since then, i've brought my car in for follow up oil changes! They've put new tires on my car and i also needed a new alternator. Dealerships can charge an arm and a leg for work on cars. Im a young woman, and when i bring my car in to Performance, i get good quality service and parts. And i know that Les or Clarence havent and wont ring the prices up, or charge me for things that i wont need. I know this because when i had the alternator replaced, they replaced a belt that was stripped and they showed me how the old one was worn and how the new one looked. BIG DIFFERENCE. My car is finished within a resonable amount of time, if im not talking to Les in his office while Clarence works on it, im in the waiting area reading my book. read more
