Worst business I've dealt with in a long time. They over charge on anything they can get away with, forget to retighten bolts and bars and when they get called out on it they point the fingers elsewhere. They lost my bolt lock key and took my tool kit as well. Do not go here if you can avoid it you'll just be let down. read more

Worst experience ever!!!!!! I initially stopped by Performance Off-Road on April 21nd to discuss having my Jeep Cherokee worked on. I sat down with Marc at first and explained what all I wanted done with the truck. The list was long but there was nothing too major. Basically I wanted the vehicle looked over, a tune-up, replace the front ball joints and lower control arms as well as replace the ignition and re key all the locks. I explained that I had some money set aside for this and pretty much gave them free reign to get it on the road and safe. I then spoke with Bryan who said he would get the vehicle into the shop the following Thursday. The next day (22 April) they sent their wrecker out to pick-up the vehicle. The driver was very polite and professional. He made some other observations he felt needed to be addressed and said he'd let the shop know. On May 5th the shop was called and it was found out that they never wrote up a ticket and Billy (the supposed owner) didn't even know the vehicle was at his shop. I went back to them to have a ticket written that day. The gentleman (it was neither Bryan or Marc) that helped me was very professional and tended to my needs quickly. We again went over what I wanted done to the vehicle. (that was the last of the professionalism). I stopped back by on May 13th for an update, as they never called me once to let me know what was going on. This time I spoke with Marc who starting coming up with every excuse under the sun as to why they had done nothing with my vehicle. I was told they were just too backed up and he would speak to Bryan about getting it in the shop the following week and that Bryan would be calling me that day, needles to say I never received that call. Three weeks passed with not one phone call or update on my Cherokee. I stopped by once again on 2 June and again spoke with Marc who again gave me more excuses about why they haven't touched my vehicle. He claimed that they had it in the shop briefly but took it back out, no reason why but I'm assuming it's because someone with more money showed up and my vehicle was again placed outside. He explained that he had the vehicle fluids on order, as that was one of the services I requested. If a shop's primary purpose is to work on vehicles how do they not have basic fluids on hand? I left the shop and went straight to Wilson Off-Road and spoke directly with Keith. He told me to get my truck to him immediately and that his guys would get on it next week. Keith spoke to me in detail about what all would take place. Instead of simply saying they'd get to it next week he actually looked at the shop schedule to verify. I returned to Performance the following morning (3 June) with a wrecker and stopped Marc as he was walking into the shop. I informed him that I was there to take my truck elsewhere. His response was simply "OK". So I had the wrecker hook it up and take it to Wilson. At no point did he or anyone from that shop try to fix this issue. It was simply "ok bye" with an attitude. Bottom line is this; Bryan and Marc are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Had they simply told me they would not be able to get to the truck for a few weeks or even months I would have either accepted this or taken it someplace else. Marc has the worst possible attitude for anyone who works with customers could possibly have. I think Bryan either doesn't care or had no real clue what was going on due to him and Marc not communicating. Billy obviously doesn't care about customers who don't have ten thousand dollars or more to pay them or he too is clueless to what goes on at his own shop. This shop and Billy were recommended to me by a close friend but their actions, customer service and attitude fall well short of that expected of anyone dealing with paying customers. I would never recommend anyone taking a vehicle to Performance Off-Road for any reason. Unless you have a big dollar project you will be treated like a second class citizen and your vehicle will never get work done or they will simply blow you off by saying "we'll get to it next week", which seems to be the motto of this shop. read more

You cannot say that you were not warned. It is impossible to overstate how bad this business treats customers. Poor service. Poor work quality. Insensitive employees. This is not a spur of the moment blast. This is the patience of a decent person being driven over the edge. I had work done then had to go back for repairs multiple times. I have sat in the lobby and listened to how they treat, talk about and let down customers. Over the last year and a half it has been one problem after another with no concern at all about taking care of the customer. The only way this place is still in business is because there are not a lot of this type of service in Fayetteville. If there were more then no way anyone would go back or recommend them. If you do this kind of work, have a good work ethic, morals and a commitment to satisfying the customer with quality service and work, then you should open a place nearby. You will be busier than you can imagine. Wherever the next place is that does this kind of work, go there. Do not go here. This place is garbage. Their work is garbage. The owner is garbage and their word is garbage. Avoid this place at all costs and give your business to someone who appreciates it and will at least give you the courtesy of appearing to care about their word and work quality. VERY CRAPPY SERVICE ! My husband dropped off his Ford Explorer to get new off roading tires and spacers put on. He was the first person in the building as soon as they opened the guy behind the desk said it was going to be ready by the end of the day. My husband went back to the shop around 5 to see the status of the his car the guy in the store said it's getting the last tire on and then it was going to get alined and when the night crew gets in it will be done by 8pm the same day . We ( my husband , I and our 9month old son ) waited around in the area so we could get the car. (We live all the way in Raeford and was not going to go back and forth from Raeford and the shop.) 8pm came and we saw the guy walk to the door locked it and walked towards the back where they keep the vehicles they are working on to see if my husbands car was even back there. WE NEVER GOT OUT OF THE CAR ! WE STAYED IN MY VECHILE THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE BEHIND THE SHOP . The guy who we saw locked the door approached my car and asked what was going on . I told him that Ford was my husband's and we need to know that status of it since it's been here for 12 hours and said it was supposed to be done by 8pm today ! The guy said ok let me call my boss and walked away . A couple minutes later he came back and had the "owner" on the phone (WHO WAS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND I HAVE 7+ YEARS OF RETAIL AND HOSPITALITY SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE.) The owners response to me when I asked him why were we told it would be done today and when we get here it's not was ," ma'am I'm not talking to you since it's not your car . Second your car wasn't taken care of so we couldn't do what needed to be done, then repeatedly stated IM NOT TALKING TO YOU because it's not YOUR car ." Then he continued to tell my husband that we can have the keys and when something happens to the vehicle that he's not doing anything else with the vechile and that he was on his way up to the shop. (AFTER MY HUSBAND HAS ALREADY PAID TO GET THE WORK DONE!). Then all of a sudden the guy who was working on the car comes out of the wood work and says," I'm sorry dude I wasn't told it had to be done today, all I have to do is tighten the bolts ." We watched the guy tighten the bolts which took all about 5-10 minutes. After the guy was done we were not going to except the keys until we watch the guy drive the car to make sure NOTHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE CAR ! I WAS NOT ABOUT TO TAKE IT OFF THE LOT AND RISK MY 9MONTH OLDS LIFE DUE TO SHOTTY WORK . Finally one of the guys came and drove the car with me following behind him to see if anything was wrong . There were NO Appologys for the crappy service NO REMORSE NOTHING except F**k you attitude ! THE "OWNER " NEVER SHOWED UP !! We even stayed in the parking lot until 9:30pm !! ALL of this could have and should have been avoided by a simple phone call saying," hey I know I told you it will be ready today but unfortunately due to some things with the car it's not going to be done until tomorrow . I'm sorry for telling you it was going to be it was my fault ." Or when the "OWNER" was on the phone he could have said ," I'm sorry my guys told you it was going to be done today i'm sorry you and your family have been waiting around all day for us to do the car. I personally apologize for the miscommunication and take responsibility for my guys actions ." . The only GOOD guy that I DON'T have a complaint about was the guy who tighten the bolts because HE HAD THE BALLS AND INTEGRITY TO OWN UP TO HIS SHORT COMINGS . DON'T EVER TRUST YOUR VECHILE TO THIS SHOP . TAKE YOUR TIME AND MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE !! read more

Went in last month for new tires on my truck. What normally takes a few hours took these guys from 8am to 5pm and I had to call them before they closed to figure out when I would get my truck back instead of them calling me. When I drive my truck down the road I quickly discovered my new tires were never balanced and were rubbing the wheel well. The clown named Bryan that works at the front gave me every excuse why the tires he promised wouldn't rub we're rubbing and had not been balanced he went into fast talking mode until I had to tactfully tell him to quit making excuses. They fixed the rubbing problem very half assed and later re balanced my tires (so they said and again it took a whole day 8am to 5pm). My tires still felt unbalanced so I took them to a shop closer to my house and now my truck runs smooth. I would not recommend Performance Off-road and will not be back. This business at one point was on top of its game but now they have turned unprofessional, unreliable, and full of excuses. read more
