It is very easy to make appointments and track the status of your vehicle via their website/mobile app. While pricey, you expert mechanics that will treat your Toyota as if it is their own while in their shop. There are luxurious leather seats with Keurig coffee varieties as you wait, but I highly recommend using their free shutle service. The driver, Leo, is a real card that tells fantastic stories as he carefully threads through traffic, keeping you entertained until getting you to your destination safely and quickly. read more

I went there today for an oil change. I had called earlier in the week to schedule it at 9:00. When I got there, it took a while for someone to help me in the service department. Then when Abby checked me in she told me that it would be a 90 minute wait. I was a little surprised and told her that I had a 9:00 appoitment. She said that she knew but it would still be 90 minutes since they don't have an express lane like other dealers. I told her again that I was not looking for an express lane, that I had made an appoitment. She continued to insist it would be 90 minutes. I decided to wait because I had a coupon for almost 1/2 off of an oil change. At 9:45 they send me a video of my car on the lift. It still had the old filter on it so I am willing to bet my car with a 9:00 appointment sat there until 9:45 until they started working on it. My car was done at 9:10 which seemed like a reasonable amount of time for a car to get an oil change and inspection done. This again reaffirmed in my mind that my car sat 45 minutes before being worked on. Don't be fooled into thinking that having an appointment means that they are going to work on your car at that time. Don't be fooled into thinking that 4 or 5 service advisors standing at their desks doing nothing means one of them is going to call you over to work with you. They ignored what I said did the coolant flush, the temperature sensor is still faulty and they recommended a bunch of services I didn't need to pad the bill. I know dealerships do this. This was a great place to buy a vehicle. I along with family have purchased 8 vehicles starting in 1984. I thought it was like buying from family until my vehicle was totaled in 2023. My insurance paid within 45 days..and gap insurance was to then pay. But they did not, Then due to that delay performance refused to finance another vehicle for me as they were waiting for gap to pay. After waiting e0 days I reach out to another dealer who not only was gracious and understanding, they sent a car to pick me up and help me select a new vehicle with no issues. However the Gap insurance had not paid , in April 2024 the gap insurance company call said they need a form and info from performance, got a a 3 way call attempted to get it. After 2 long holds first the refused the8give a way to get o line. Very rude!! The online access was invalid. Finally in January of 2026 they sent the required information to the gap insurance company but they also canceled the policy and kept the money. The gap company requested reinstatement but performance was rude to them and the gave up after me attempts . I have tried..gap can't pay until performance reinstates and they refused. Kept the money too. This leaves me with a balance due ..I purgatory insurance to.prevent this. Gap insurance with performance is a scam they have you purchase it tell you it will cover, then they drag out the claim process to ultimately prevent gap insurance from obtaining information to.process claim to pay the gap. Doing this they gain over 1200 dollars and left me owing. Currently seeking legal representation and the assistance of The Ohio Attorney General as this was an illegal process per Ohio law. BUYER BEWARE DONT BUY HERE. GAP INSURANCE IS VITAL BUT THIS PLACE CAN'T BE TRUSTED. IF YOU NEVER NEED IT THEN IT OK BUT THEY ARE HORRIBLE AFTER THE SALE. Well my company purchased me a new vehicle and since it took a long time for them to find what they wanted to buy I found 3 in the Cincinnati area. 2 of those at Performance Toyota. Of course they ignored me and bought one 3 weeks later from Connecticut which is another horrible story regarding the delivery. So when I adjust the controls to off for the lane warning it turns itself back on every time I get in it. Next when I have the radio on, say volume 13 and the phone rings the road noise is so bad that I have to adjust it to around 24 for the volume. Then when I hang up the volume stays at 24 and doesn't go back to 13 like my other vehicles do. When I get out the the AC is on why had it turned itself to off when I get back in. I stopped by the local deanship today to Ask these questions and get some guidance. I went in for a 1 to 1.5 hour appointment for my RAV-4. After 3 hours of waiting my car was finally ready after I spoke up twice. They tried to up-sale over $1000 of service that is recommended in the next 5,000 miles - not recommended now - but needed soon. I was not impressed and my time was not well spent there. Guys were nice. Just didn't know if they were just putting on a temporary mask. One guy tried to add a wright patt origination fee for the loan when wright patt doesn't do fees with dealers they are partnered with. Had to correct their finance guy multiple times. They tried to tag 20 dollars a month extra on my payment. Was also told the lady who traded in the sienna we bought, had the second key at her house and she would bring it in. Which I was fine with, but after agreeing on the price and signing the deal, I picked up the car the next day and I was told they couldn't find the second set of keys and they weren't going make me a spare for me since we agreed on a lower price. I finally had enough and asked for my keys back to my car they would come back out and offer me a different offer, this happened about 5 times and I still didn't have my keys. The manager came out to talk to me. I told him this is all I can afford. He said okay told the seller to get me my keys, as the seller was walking out he said do the deal. I did purchase the vehicle and it was a quality vehicle however I was in an accident March 2026 and when I had to contact them for the GAP insurance I had it was a nightmare. I spent over a month and was hung up on a few times. However the lady, KARA, who helps with the GAP insurance was wonderful she went above and beyond. I was impressed. Performance Toyota was the first dealership we had visited in which someone seemed eager to help. The salesman, Joe, saw us looking for a vehicle for our daughter. He asked what she was looking for, in which our daughter had an idea for an SUV. She wasn't necessarily open to purchasing a car, but was willing to give it a test drive. Unfortunately, this was when the entire experience shifted. Joe was friendly and showed us a couple of vehicles which were close to the building. She test drove a 2020 Corolla, which was cramped, and already 5 years old. She also test drove a 2017 Highlander, which was 8 years old. Joe kept asking us (over and over), what would the down payment be. Finally, my wife told him, so he would stop asking. Joe told us how Toyota would take care of the vehicle if our daughter were to purchase the Gold Warranty. This would extend the remaining warranty on the vehicle. Our daughter said she did not want to pay for a Gold Warranty on a vehicle that had used up some years of its warranty. After this, Joe went to get the paperwork showing the prices, while my wife took a call outside. Joe became noticeably restless and asked how long she would be. I told him they would return as soon, but this was not good enough for him. He walked outside to see what "took her so long". My wife returned, visibly upset. Joe went to the manager and returned with the cost. We were all astounded at the extremely high price they wanted for the 2017 Highlander. Our daughter did not like the price and asked if they had any other SUVs. Instead of showing her other SUVs at a better price, he tried showing her a "Camary" on his laptop. He was irritated that she said this, and said he would go to his manager and try to get a better price. Joe came back and said his manager would only take $500 off. Some problems we had: 1. He left again to talk to his manager, while our daughter was getting a drink from the vending machine. She witnessed them relaxing, chatting and ignoring the fact there were customers waiting on them. (We were in hour 4 at this point). 2. Joe returned to us with the prices and terms, but we noticed whenever he left for the manager, he would not leave the paper/document on the table. The last time he tried this, my wife asked to see the paper he had (face down), on the table. Reluctantly, he flipped it over, and we discovered they were "moving the numbers around". "Moving the numbers around" is inflating a price just to create the illusion of a discount. Ex: This item is $24,000 on the sticker, but we will take $500 off the price. We inflate the price to $24,500, which means the discount is worthless. At this point, the discount is purely for show. When we realized what they had done...(especially the second one), we realized we were in the WRONG place. Joe walked off again, and we left. I warn everyone, please save yourself hours of grief: DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Happy ending: Due to this, we went to a different brand/dealership and our daughter purchased an excellent SUV. read more

Firstly would like to say I have never done business with a more unprofessional dealership than this one particularly on the service side. The service center does not answer phone calls or respond to voicemails for status updates on your vehicle and the communication overall is abysmal (primarily done through text message). After an entire month of my 5 year old Highlander being left here for a lengthy diagnostics process / service and repair for what was determined to be rodent electrical damage, the service tech eventually tells me twice via text that my car is ready for pickup and that my insurance has covered the $10,000 repair minus deductible. Once I arrive I'm then shockingly told that there is a remaining balance left to be paid by my insurance provider which apparently he forgot to mention before I Ubered over. I then have to get another rental car which the dealership apparently does not cover for wasting my time and wait a few more days before the insurance covers the remaining cost. Warning to all, please stay away from this service center and they will never see my face here again! read more

The salesman was great. The sale process was good. BUT the finance department is terrible. I purchased the car and was told at the dealership that all the paperwork would be taken care of. About four weeks later, I got my title and application for registration in the mail. I have been calling their finance department for three weeks, left messages, BUT never got return calls from the dealership to discuss and get answers to my questions. I am not registered, and do not have license plates as of yet, as promised during the sales. I will never go to Performance Toyota again. You would think they would at least have the courtesy to return phone calls, and clarify a few things. I am going to have to pay sales tax when I register the car. I am considering my options. I HAVE COMPLETELY LOST FAITH - see why below. Work Order RO Number 849553 Went to Performance Toyota on 9/14/2022 for a 10k mile free service maintenance for my wife's new Camry Hybrid. While waiting for service, her car still sitting in the parking lot and not yet having been reviewed by a technician, the service team said her car needed an alignment ($129.99). When pressed they stated this was a 'recommended Maintenance item'. As you can see from the attached image, the work order states an alignment check was done but refused. My first issue is - why they would recommend an alignment without bothering to check if the car actually needed this? My second issue is - why it was stated a four wheel alignment was performed when clearly they never checked prior to intake. Did they actually do this after the fact? Or are they just saying so, so when we declined it, some kind of 'gotcha' moment can be had in the future? This presents a serious issue - The Service Dept. trying to drum up business on unnecessary items and taking advantage of unknowing or uneducated consumers. I could understand if an alignment check was actually done but we were sitting in the waiting room and could see our car never left the parking spot we left it in prior to them trying to pump us for more money. I used to think the Performance Auto Group (Performance Toyota and Honda) were better than the other nightmare dealerships I have heard stories about or had direct experience with. My family, over the decades, have bought countless cars from them. This seriously disappointing, and is the reason I have and will continue to do everything I can myself. Performance - you have lost my trust, and I no longer see how you are any different. I purchased a Toyota Sequoia on 7/2/24 from Performance. I was only given 1 key fob and told that Toyota wasn't providing a 2nd key fob to the dealers until the vehicle was sold because the key fobs were too expensive to make. I was told that Toyota was going to contact me promptly to get the other key fob to me. Well, I purchased this expensive vehicle 3 months ago (9/17/24) and still no contact from Toyota and no 2nd key fob. Have talked to the dealer a couple of times and told "it will be there soon". I'm cutting this way down. I should have done my research. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER. They damaged my Camry during service. Screwed the paint repair up the first time (Performance Paint and Dent) AND painted more panels than was necessary. 2nd attempt was made by Performance Collision. Paint does not match. I was guaranteed the repair by the lying service manager James Rowan. I was told it would have no effect on the value of the vehicle because it was an "internal repair". I was offered to trade into them and I'd receive trade in value as if the car had never been damaged. Wow! I could've got that anywhere before they screwed up my car and lied about it. I was laughed at and lied to by multiple employees. After calling this out I was told by James Rowan and Kathy Snider that the paint "was never going to match". This after receiving a guarantee from James Rowan. General Manager Tom Meadows doesn't return calls or reply to emails either. This place is 3rd rate at best. STAY AWAY! And... they allegedly pay to remove negative reviews, of which there are many. read more

We had a very poor experience at Performance Toyota Fairfield. Our experience with the Financial Advisor Michael was terrible. When you purchase a car, it is suppose to be a joyful experience. Unfortunalty that joy was taken away from us by the financial advisor. During our final conversations with him, we were offered and explained several different warranty packages, which we kindly declined. Michael continued to push the warranty plans on us. After we told him "NO" about 7 times. He verbalized to us that we were one of the only ones who declined the GAP insurance. We told him that we didn't care that we were the only ones. He told us that " You all must have a lot of money saved up in the bank for you not to get the GAP insurance" . His Body language was aggressive. Then at the end he told us that " Man I sure hope things work out for you guys" and shook his head. What should have been an exciting and happy time was just completely taken away from us. We spent 40k at this place, and then we were made to feel like garbage for not wanting to give them more of our money. The finance manager was literally trying to manipulate us to make a certain decision, and then was aggravated when didn't make the decision that he wanted us to. We purchased our vehicle from the dealership around seven years or so ago and have been generally satisfied with the level of service we've received up until the last two years. Back in the beginning of 2022 is when the troubles really began, even if we didn't realize it yet. Took the car in for a routine service appointment and saw the vehicle parked out front when we went to pick it up. Strange... Never had them park it outside before. Upon closer inspection we found that the windshield had been cracked during the service. While the dealership would not admit fault, we were sent off for a new replacement windshield on their dime. We have been dealing with an air conditioning issue all summer. Sometimes you don't want to admit something is wrong until you can't deny it any longer. In this case, it was mid-nineties outside and we were pouring sweat despite having the AC set to the coldest it would go, on the highest fan speed. The first time, we just had the air filter replaced along with a routine service. It had been chewed, no big deal. Second time, the AC was making a loud, strange noise. We advised them to remove the empty nest that was found in the system. No evidence of rodent activity. The noise was improved, but it never was fully resolved. Roughly $200. Third time, the AC had gone out and we were hit with a migraine inducing chemical odor when the system was on. No leaks found in the system, but there was an empty nest?! As in, the nest that was supposed to be removed last time? Despite giving the go ahead to remove the nest, it was not itemized on the previous bill and we were charged AGAIN to have the nest cleared out. System was presumed fine and they recharged the AC. This was a whopping $1200, as they found a loose wheel which we assumed was an urgent fix. This may or may not have been a mistake - it wasn't caught on the video inspection and was only conveyed orally. Three weeks later, the smell never dissipated. It is, in fact, getting worse. The air is blowing tepid at best. Take it in for service appointment #4. This time, a leak is found behind the dash, and the evaporator coil is bad?? They also found.... Can you guess? AN EMPTY NEST. Why wasn't this leak caught last time? Why is there still a nest?? We are given an estimate for $3000. And our advisor has the gall to tell us that once it's repaired and the system is sealed again, there's no guarantee that another leak won't be found! Forget that. We deny any work and pick the vehicle up. Despite our protests, Performance Auto Group DOES NOT stand by their work. We have been offered no explanation as to how these issues were not caught the first, or even second, time. They have made no effort to resolve the issue, except to offer a higher bill, and maybe stuff another nest inside, who knows?! After our experiences with the service department this year, we will never bring either of our vehicles back for service. And when it comes time to purchase another vehicle, you can just bet we will never choose Performance Toyota (or any division of Performance Auto Group) ever again. This company has become a joke. We paid nothing up front and got out the door with a fantastic car... advised that if we paid the higher payment up front, it would "prove" to TFS that we could handle a full out loan. Ha... we should have known better. First issue- went in for a low tire pressure issue and was told by a service guy with a gnarly cold sore that we'd have to buy a new tire on a few months old car. Advised that we should be covered. We refused, got service as covered and went on. During our next service date, it was still leaking AND the speaker casing fell off. We were told that we'd have to pay for the speaker casing, but they handled the tire THEN. Kept up with all service as scheduled with the exception of my wife being in ICU and our daughter being in the NICU. Fast forward 3 years later. The old finance manager had been replaced with the most blatantly bigoted woman we'd ever met! She was extremely rude and when our lease was over, she used 3 month old credit to tell us we didn't qualify for ANY financing outside of putting 5k down. We got the lease with ZERO down and our score was lower! Long story short- reported the bigot to corporate and someone called and basically defended her horrific actions and lied SOME MORE. Sent them the proof I had financing through USAA, but they stated they couldn't "see that" and that the residual amount was inflexible. Now our car is on their website for almost 2 k less- and the speaker is STILL DANGLING. Not to mention some jerk keeps calling about service being due... rub it in lady!!! Avoid. Unless you are a minority and want to pay for mediocre service. Just go to Kings Toyota or better yet, Lexus RiverCenter. read more

I purchased a 2021 Corolla from Performance Toyota just a few days ago. I had a great experience with the sales person. We were able to quickly locate the vehicle we were very pleased with. The finance however, was a completely different story. Let's start by saying, I was putting down $7,000 on a car with a list price of $23,000, so I was already in a positive equity position. I was blatantly lied too multiple times when asking for the exact unpadded payment to the penny with no extra service contracts. I was given a $140 Pad. Basically told $480 after I expressed that a pad was there, then $471 with no protections. In reality, my true payment was roughly $315. He then was magically able to get me an extended service contract and GAP protection, like I asked for, at $485. In reality, he tacked on 5 separate service contracts totalling over $8,300. He skipped right past the buyers order on his iPad, stating we had already saw the document he scrolled past. Keep in mind, I've already been at the dealership for 4 hours, while dealing with the finance managers iPad having issues, and having to use someone else's multiple times. I then spoke to our finance manager, that evening, and wanted to resign after actually seeing the buyers order. Was told there is nothing he could do, including more bs. I then went to the dealership and was told it was too late as well. I have to cancel the products totally over $8,300 dollars, but this will not effect my payment which is nearly $150s too high. Extremely scummy finance moves. Do not believe what is said to you. Now nothing is on paper, and you don't even have the option of looking over on a screen. The manager basically scrolls to the signature spots as fast as he can, and has no issue lying to your face. Long story short: Do not purchase any backend products from them without really looking everything over. Simply say you have no interest in any extra coverages, figure out the base payment of your vehicle to the penny. Basically finish the process and figure out the lowest payment available. Then if you have interest in the extended service contract or whatever it may be, ask for the cash price after, and if you're okay with that, then have it added onto the loan. They have an extended period where they can add a warranty on as well, so you do not have to purchase that day by any means. I called the finance department for two weeks and they kept saying they refunded the deposit . Not only was the pricing way different from what was indicated on the phone, they include a "non negotiable" BS security box fee. If you are stern enough this is negotiable fyi. They will try and take you out back and put you down with how bad their financing is. Before you come in get pre-approved but wait until the last minute to tell them for the best deal. They will also try and use the old tactic of "wearing you down" with multiple trips to talk to the finance individual. Either bring snacks or be very adamant that you are not going to wait all day. They are not negotiating and they know their bottom line as soon as you walk in the door. I sent in the required documentation to the internet sales person for a 2015 4runner. Then I never heard anything for a week. A lady called me and asked if they could help get me in the vehicle. I stated with my credit and low $200 down payment (as it's Christmas and extra money is not a thing anymore) she assured me I was approved and just needed to come to the dealer to test drive and make my purchase. I reluctantly went and was greeted by a different salesman who was to organise my sale. He then informed me I needed an addition $7600 for a down payment. To total $7800. This seemed to be a joke as I could pay that in cash for a 4Rynner with that. Would NEVER recommend this crap hole. read more

I took my son to purchase his very first car,granted I have been around the block a few times with ruthless car dealerships,but the reviews I read were fair ,so I wanted to give it a try.Right off the bat he had a Scion tc to trade in valued at over 8,000$and they offered only less than 3stating it needed 3000$ worth of brakes and rotors when we had just purchased both in January of this year,I give props to the saleswoman Dulce who tried to do what was right but her manager ,some Arab who talked down to me and would not even look at my son,he was trying to explain to me when clearly he was trying to sell me a shit sandwich! Let it be known I do not appreciate trying to teach my son about honesty and the importance of it,when there are people like performance Toyota,he even tried to talk us out of going with Carvana,but guess what we did,he got what his car was worth and almost the exact SUV at a better price.So screw you ASSHOLES! read more

JUST DONT DO IT 30,000 and don't want to admit they sold us a truck with a transmission going out. Tags aren't even due on the truck yet! We got the warenty and everything but "nothing is wrong with the truck" because they don't want to fix it! Not to mention the lying salesman they have up there! Well, this dealership hasn't received anything above a "1 Star" review since 2018 and I have learned the hard way why. This will be a long one, but certainly worth the read if you're considering shopping here. Since purchasing my car here back in July 2019, I have had nothing but issues. I am generally someone that works hard to give the benefit of the doubt and to look past minor issues but I just can't look past the things that have happened here. As a disclaimer, I do not blame any of the people named directly it is strictly to lend some accuracy and detail to my review. The problems here lie with the business as a whole, not individuals. I moved to Cincinnati in July and it all happened rather quickly. I didn't have a lot of time to get savings together or make detailed plans and I needed a car fast. I am a young twenty-something and just don't have much additional cash laying around to spend so I aimed to find a used car that could last me at least a few years while I got my feet under me here. I thought I was getting the deal of a lifetime with I found a 2006 Nissan Altima with less than 100,000 miles on it here. I bought the car in full with the help of Rachel Root and drove away a happy camper. That's where the happiness ends. I didn't receive my title paperwork until just 1 or 2 days before the temporary tags expired which meant being forced to take time off of work to go get that processed so that I wouldn't be driving on expired tags. Strike one. Then within just a month of purchasing the vehicle, I had to replace the entire fuel gauge cluster which cost me $1,200 because it completely stopped working. Strike two. I contacted the dealership because I felt it was absurd to be having such a major issue so quickly. After a lot of going back and forth with Used Car Sales Manager, Nate Myers, they agreed to issue me a service credit at the dealership for the amount I paid for the repair. Ok... would rather have my money back but it's better than nothing. About 4 months after purchasing the vehicle I began having issues again. This time I had to have it towed to Toyota so that they could work on it utilizing my service credit. When I asked how the service credit would work the representative, Abby Couch, claimed that they never received my receipt from the original repair and therefore never set up the credit. I went back in my email and found the exact email I sent to Nate with my receipt attached and the response I got from him which said he received it and would get it set up. I forwarded the same thing to them both and they actually got it situated. Strike three. Upon looking at my car they discovered that a coil, spark plugs, o rings, and some other stuff needed to be replaced and totaled it at $900 which was fine because the credit covered it so I told them to go ahead and do that. I picked up the car with no issues and drove away feeling like the problem was solved. Now just two weeks since they repaired my car the check engine light is back on and it feels as if it is having the same issues that they allegedly fixed. At this point I will be lucky if this car even lasts me the next month which has put me in a terrible situation financially. Lesson learned, NEVER shop here again and just cough up the money/payments for a newer car (but still don't do it here because this place is shady as hell). I am not even sure if this is truly everything in this terrible saga because so much has gone on, but the moral of the story is just GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Update (1/8/2020): After posting this review, both Abby and Nate reached out to me and offered to have me bring the car in to have it checked out again. The check engine light did go off on its own later the same day it came on and hasn't come back on again but if that changes I will update. read more
