Even though it's a 14-year-old Wrangler with pinstripes and now transmission issues, I'm sentimentally attached to it! I finally went with JP Auto Transport after seeing a post from them on Reddit. They were more expensive than the lowest quote I received by about $100, but they were very responsive, were semi-local to my area, and believed they could get my marginally operational vehicle from Las Vegas to LA within about two days of my booking. I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to deliver my Jeep a day earlier than expected, and in an enclosed trailer even though I hadn't paid extra to request enclosed storage when I booked the shipment. BUT I scheduled a flatbed for my car a week ahead of time because I needed the car to show up at a specific shop at a specific time. I confirmed the day beforehand, etc. Unfortunately they ran into something out of their control - 2 flat tires on their own truck before picking my car up. I got a text message and call just a few minutes AFTER the time they were supposed to show up telling me the same (I feel like they could have given me more of a heads up). They ended up being 2.5 hours late and it messed up my schedule for the rest of the day - had to change appointments around and apologize to others etc. They ended up not charging me a credit card usage 5% fee which honestly felt so small (~$20 on a $450 tow fee) that it sort of just added insult to injury - merchant credit card fees are usually just 1.5 to 3.5% and that was never mentioned in the price I was quoted. Disappointed because I got multiple quotes from other tow companies before selecting these guys - all less expensive, but went w/ them because of the good reviews. I communication was better and they did more to make it right I'd consider them again but next time I'll just go with one of the other options.

1 star. Pathetic…read more 10 MONTHS. That's how long I've been trying to get this company to address scratches in multiple locations on my car that occurred during transport. The damage was obvious. My attempts to get it resolved were ignored. No accountability. No meaningful follow-up. No resolution. They were happy to take my money. Once there was a problem, getting a response was apparently too much to ask. Things can happen during vehicle transport. What separates a reputable company from a terrible one is how they handle it when something goes wrong. This company chose to ignore the problem for nearly a year. If you value your vehicle--and your sanity--I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. 10 months. Multiple follow-ups. Zero resolution. One star because zero isn't an option.
