BEWARE, this whole "advertising home" thing is a massive scam. Someone came to our home telling us we had been selected as one of two rare advertising homes and said someone would follow up with more info. The pitch was that if we had windows installed and put their sign up in the yard and left them good reviews they would give us 50% off the price of windows and free install. The "marketing coordinator" (salesperson) who came for the follow up informational meeting tried to take advantage of the fact we hadn't done any advanced research (since we weren't actively seeking out quoted for new window, which she knew) and tried to convince us pella/anderson windows for our home would be $75k and so performance windows at $35k were a screaming bargain. This was not an informational meeting, it was a bait and switch sales move. She told us that we had to sign on the spot and drop half the amount ($17k) otherwise when she walked out the door the deal was gone. She was trying to pass completely made up inflated numbers as fake "competitor pricing" in order to make her offer look like a discount so we would fall for the exploding offer. Thank god for chatGPT. A few questions quickly returned a realistic estimate for windows for our home ($18-20k for vinyl windows, not $35k) and explained the whole advertising home scheme, allowing us to call her bluff and decline the so called "deal". I would never do business with a company that uses pressure tactics and preys on unassuming folks who haven't done their research in order to lock in contracts under false pretenses. I hope everyone sees this review before they sign up to be an advertising home or even waste an hour of their precious time talking to Performance Windows sales people. read more

After a solicitor came by offering us a deal, that just two houses in the neighborhood would be selected for, urging a speedy decision we decided to move forward with replacing our windows. They were 20 years old and their age was evident. The windows arrived about 7 weeks later, within the expected timeframe. The installers arrived on a Saturday morning at 8:30am with the expectation that they would namely be able to replace all 26 windows before the day was over. The team worked hard and long they ended up working until 9pm. The first several windows were installed professionally and well but as time went on and the sunlight was fading the craftsmanship deteriorated. I'm not sure if it's because the crew could no longer see what they were doing or if they were exhausted but the caulking around the windows was lumpy/bumpy and just straight up messy looking. Additionally, the screens which were made on site were not well done. A quality screen should be taut not loose. Most of the screens are loose and flimsy. Honestly, I feel like my 20 year-old screens were of better quality. We expressed our concerns to the manager when he did a follow up visit after the installation. After taking a look, he agreed about the quality of the screens and caulking and promised they would come back out. The Saturday they were supposed to come out at 10 AM to redo all the screens and the caulking and clean up some foam that had stained our patio and by 11 o'clock no one has showed and the manager is non-responsive. Updated Review: The crew ended up coming back out 2 more times to fix the exterior and interior caulking. It was definitely not convenient but they did come through on their end. While the process with the company was not ideal they did come back and ended up remedying the situation. read more

We were at our wits' end when a representative from Performance Windows happened to drop by to offer a promotion so we scheduled an assessment and received a competitive estimate with the condition they could post a sign and advertise the final product. We agreed to this stipulation and everything went smoothly from that point forward. The staff we interacted with were transparent, respectful, and efficient. The pricing remained the same once we had official measurements and placed our order. Windows came in before the promised date and installation was scheduled quickly from there. The installers were prompt and respectful of the home. They offered to touch up paint on the exterior trim - even where the installation wasn't responsible for the missing paint just to be sure we were happy with their work. We have had a great experience with the team at Performance windows. Nick and Casey on the sales team were the first connection we had and they were fantastic about providing detail about the quality of the windows as well as the lifetime warranty and the ability to pass that warranty on if we sell in the first 20 years. They delivered our windows in less time than originally planned and they replaced our windows in a day with an excellent team led by Jose. Jose was professional and treated us and his team with incredible respect - they even let us slightly alter the order of which windows went in first so our kids could play in their toy room. The quality of the work is superb. We had hired another company to replace a couple of other windows about 4 years ago. They are fine, but not quite the same quality and their finish work was not very good. Jose's team did the work quickly and made the finish work look as good as it did when they started. We had some very cold nights immediately after they installed the windows and they have been incredible. No more feeling the drafts of air coming from the windows! If I could give negative stars, I would. Rod Woolley came to my house to discuss options for getting my windows updated as part of an advertising campaign. I was interested, so we scheduled an appointment two days later. I shifted a lot of my schedule around to make the appointment time work, but my wife was not going to be present as she was taking care of our two small kids during spring break. I communicated this to them and that we discussed between ourselves what we wanted to ask during the appointment. Rod texted stating that we both needed to be present and that maybe it would be best to reschedule. I confirmed that it would only be possible for myself to be there and that we would be prepared to make a decision by the end of the appointment. My appointment time came and went with nobody showing up. When I asked if they were on their way, Rod informed me then that we were forced to reschedule due to the inability for my wife to be present, without telling me that the appointment had been cancelled and nobody was coming. It was "company policy" that we both had to be there. It is completely unacceptable to demand that my wife must be present. You cannot force our schedule, and impose how you think our partnership is allowed to make decisions. Ignoring the fact that I'm the sole person on the mortgage and the title of the house. This company apparently does not care about trespassing on people's property. When asked if they can read the no soliciting signs they stated the signs don't apply to them. They have been upsetting a lot of people in our neighborhood due to ignoring the no soliciting signs. Even saw ring camera video of one of them trying to open someone's door. First, I've got to say these windows are huge upgrade to my previous installation. Immediately I could tell the windows are much better insulated and are better at soundproofing the house. I no longer feel the cold radiate off the windows and I no longer feel a chill throughout the house. They did amazing job, installing 10 windows and one patio door. Very pleased with the insulation work they did, and the superior caulking job applied to the windows. Performance Windows came to our home and showed us the quality of the windows they sold. They were made to fit, easy to open, easy to clean, fresh air lock, and life time warranty. They came and measured for all 20 windows. When completed they called three weeks ahead of time for the replacement date. The crew of 6 arrived early and replaced 14 windows on the 1st day and the last 6 windows on the 2nd day. Then they vacuumed and cleaned all the work areas thoroughly. Overall my experience with Performance Windows was great. I have had the windows for a month now and noticed a reduction in outside noise and how often my air conditioner turns on. I opted to have triple pane windows installed in the front of the house to reduce street noise and based on the cost difference I feel that it has been worth it. My only gripes are on the installation. The trim that was installed around the new windows is a tan color (primer most likely) and seems out of place. I now need to paint the trim to match the windows, which I wasn't expecting. Considering the most common window being installed currently is white vinyl, it would make sense to just use a white trim, or at least ask the homeowner before installation. The installation team also didn't caulk over the nail heads on the trim, just another thing I need to do before painting. There is a different crew that installs the windows vs the one that cleans up and some of the light fixture fasteners that needed to be removed during window installation went missing between installation and cleanup. I now have to go find replacement fasteners at Ace hardware. Not terrible but inconvenient for sure. Overall the windows are really nice and have lots of useful features, only time will tell on durability. The reps from Performance Windows have been really great to work with. I removed a star for lack of communication on what the final install would look like and overall final job condition. When paying for new windows/installation, I expected more of a complete service, not a job that I had to finish up behind them. read more

We needed new windows bad, bad, bad. Most were original to the 1957 house. A sales rep shows up at our door and does a great job, she did a rough measure of the windows and we struck a deal. The final measure was no hassle and quick. The windows were ready sooner than expected and again no hassle on scheduling. The install crew called me the morning of and as a courtesy said they were stuck in traffic (they weren't late at all) They dealt with pulling out our old window very easily and they were very patient and courteous with the children and dogs.
