I ordered two meals to-go. The order was correct and the food was delicious. (So good my middle schooler took any leftovers to school in a thermos the next day!) It came out way faster than expected. The staff was super friendly too. Highly recommend. My only negative was I had to go in to order to-go. DoorDash offered take out but they were significantly raising the price of the food. I've been dreaming of the food here every day since I ate here. I never thought I'd find some of the best Mexican food I've ever had...in Paris, Kentucky. Let's get to it. Tacos al carbon - some of the best tacos ever. Charred steak with a queso sauce, wrapped up tightly in a tortilla. The flavor is bonkers. The queso dip is amazing - I got it as a starter too. Chip after chip was dipped. The salsa is fresh and delicious. They have a spicy green sauce that's really good with chips as well. And they have another green sauce that they use as a salad dressing that's amazing on everything. Margaritas are huge. And delicious. Nice selection of craft beers as well. read more

We stopped after being in town for a tournament around the corner. The service was good but the food was very bland and dry.

We ordered to go. First two of our four entrees were wrong and my husband was missing his salad. My husband took the food in to be replaced/ fixed. When we got home those two entrees were half the amount of food they should have been. I called and no one there cares. read more

Outstanding locals Mexican spot w/ a very cool decor! Hand-carved colorful wooden tables, chairs, excellent menu & service. Honestly, I was shocked being lost in the middle of the beautiful Kentucky farmlands. Now, my all time favorite that I am craving to get back to! I'm hooked on the Steak Burrito Fajita, w/ no onion or bell peppers. Also their green hot sauce is spicy, unique & tasty! My new fav that I get for the rest of the year lol! The night before, I had another super dish called the Camrones Al Mojo De Ajo. Crispy shrimp, lightly fried in garlic olive oil w/ a side of rice & beans w/ two slices of bread. I prefer the refried beans after trying both kinds. Also the Salsa & chips are bland for my taste, but that's a good thing so I don't get full before the main course. Totally worth the drive for me every time I'm in the Lexington area. read more

I had carry out from here several months ago that was really good. I wanted to dine in before rating so I could get a real sense of the place. We stopped in for lunch today and it was not that special of an experience. The restaurant is clean, the decor is typical. The service was a little lackluster. The servers were not that outgoing or friendly, we had to ask for tea refills because nobody checked back on us once we got our food. We each only got one paper napkin, in a Mexican themed restaurant that seems odd. Usually you get left a stack of napkins for the inevitable spills or mess. Last but certainly not least- the enchiladas and my wife's quesadilla had mozzarella cheese topping them. There was melted white queso for the chips, but the cheese toppings on the entrees wasn't right for the meals. It was strange, stringy and not at all what one would expect. Probably not going to try the fare at this place again anytime soon. read more

I'm really burnt out on Mexican, But this place has a really good menu that town north of her doesn't have. The refried black beans & Camarones were very good. Service was fine. Restaurant was clean. Don't order the taco salad from the lunch menu. Not good at all.

The food is good, but a little on the bland side for Mexican food. The staff was professional and the service quick. I'd rate it higher if the food had been a little more spicy. If you're vegan, it's easy enough to convert their vegetarian part of the menu to vegan. read more

We were in town to look for a new car and decided to stop in to eat. We sat for around 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order, which was not a huge deal, but did seem odd because the restaurant wasn't super busy. The salsa was very bland for what I am accustomed to. The bean dip was clumpy and dry and when we asked for hot sauce, they brought us a bowl of what looked like mint green queso (it ended up being pretty good). I ordered the chicken chimichanga and it was okay, but definitely not reminiscent of fresh, authentic Mexican food and not worth the money we paid. Overall, the experience was disappointing to say the least. If you want the best Mexican food, make the drive to Grayson,KY and visit Tres' Hermanos. read more

It's all good.... but... get the tableside guacamole.... the very best I have ever had! .... and I have Mexican food on the west coast... where I live... at least once a week. First visit here, drove an hour an half one way to try it out. $8.99 for lunch buffet, doesn't have a big selection but enough to make it worth the price. Beef and chicken enchiladas, refried beans, taco size quesadillas, flautas, chicken fajitas, mexican soup, queso, mole, and the fixings, sour cream, cheese,lettuce, pico,tomatoes, etc. Would I drive again just to eat here, probably not, but if in the vicinity would stop again. read more

I visited Perico's on Wednesday March 29, 2017 around 5pm. The place was clean and there were several customers. There were four of us and we had a side of Guacamole, steak n chicken fajitas for two, steak and fries, cheese quesadillas and soft drinks for four. The bill came to 52.93 and with tip, 63.93. Positives: Excellent food!! The chips and salsa were very good. The guacamole was awesome! The fries were good and the fajitas were also excellent. There was Mexican music playing in the background and all the employees were Hispanic. Negatives: my only complaint was the server. I asked for extra salsa and waited. I had to ask for a refill on my Coke after it sat empty for several minutes. Overall: excellent food for the price!! read more

Stopped by here while out on a country cruise. The service was very friendly. Really enjoyed the Margaritas. So so good. The Enchiladas Matzalan is an awesome choice for lunch. They have a lunch buffet 11am to 2pm Monday through Saturday. read more

This is my favorite place to get food in Paris. They have had to start delivering due to the issues going on which have lead to them not being able to dine in for now. Stopped in for a quick lunch on our way to Ohio. Standard Mexican fare with an above average approach. Mexican beans a nice change from refried. So good I could order as a meal. Had to ask for straw and silverware. Salsa tasted like it was fermented. Orders were wrong. She took my plate and gave it to another person. After it had been sitting in front of me for a while. Then again on July 30th another $45.01 was charged to my account , I called to try to get it straightened out with this restaurant the manager didn't return my calls for several days then when he did told me that it wasn't his problem that my card company must have been the one to make the mistake and would not be refunding my money , when I told him that was wrong for me time PAY $90.00 for 1 meal he said I can't help you sorry. Went here with family based on a recommendation and Yelp reviews. Very friendly staff; broad menu; buffet at lunch was an added treat. We had four buffets & one combo (chicken enchiladas & taco) plus beverages. Everything was fresh and the chicken enchiladas were outstanding. This visit to Perico's was very disappointing....from the Service to the food, even the manager was disappointing. We waited and waited for our chips and salsa. We finally got it about 1 minute before our meal came out. The nacho supremos was barely warm when it came to our table. It was loaded with sour cream which we specifically asked to be left off the dish. The waiter said sorry but did not offer to take it back. There was hardly any cheese or beans on the dish. I have always enjoyed their bean soup, but it was terrible this time. It had no flavor was so ever. When we spoke to the manager about our meal he acted like he could care less....I'm hoping this was just a language barrier. It'll be a while before I go back to my former "favorite" Mexican restaurant. read more

Great Mexican food with reasonable prices. I ordered the lunch Chicken chimichanga and it was a very good size portion. Looks like they listened to another review on here as the chips I was served were warm. The salsa looks and tastes pretty fresh too. Service was a tad slow, but not enough to knock the rating down a star. read more
