Been going to Mi Casita since its first restaurant in Georgetown. Today was the worst service we have ever had. We were there for 45 minutes to an hour and the waiter never checked on us once we got our food. He also didn't bring me my cheese dip, no refills on our drinks, and didn't bring us our bill. I had to go to the counter to get the check out person to find my bill and the waiter still tried to charge me for the cheese dip. I wont say I wont go back, but its going to be a while before I do. read more

Even when it's busy we've always been seated quickly and our service has always been quick and friendly. Plus, the prices are reasonable and the food always comes out freshly prepared and tasty. On Easter, there aren't a lot of places open for lunch after church services. We went to the older Mi Casita location to get some delicious food. They were closed, so we drove to this location to see if it was open.... and it was. Time to give it a try. .... I don't want to come back to this location again. Now, it wasn't dirty, the food wasn't the worst ever, and the people working here were OK, but it just didn't have that cozy friendliness and satisfying meals the original location offers. Had there been no comparison of another location, I still wouldn't like this place anyway. We waited waaay too long for the waiter to take our order. And then wayyy too long for our food to arrive. When everyone at my table finally got their meals, no one really liked their plates. We ate everything but wasn't in love with our food. To top it off, during the entire meal, I could smell the strong scent of Lysol or some kind of cleaning product drifting through the air from the bathrooms. It overpowered the aroma from my food and turned me off from even wanting to eat much at all. It's cool they cleaned the place, but really!? Waaay too much cleaner. They could've waited another half hour (when they closed that day) to clean. Ugh. Then it took forever for our check to be taken care of. I couldn't wait to leave. Just. Sigh. Food was alright, I had the Chimichanga and it was kind of bland, beef was stringy and felt cheap. The salsa has severely declined in quality since during COVID. The service was pretty slow considering how many waiters there were and how few people were there. The restaurant is pretty good and I would recommend the fajitas. read more

This place is CRAP! Well after multiple bad experiences, I've officially wrote them off. First experience, my family came after church and after taking our order we never seen our waitress again. Someone else brought the food. Well no refills, no check, nothing. So I finally went up to pay and let me know. (There was 3 other people in line with the same issue) they said sorry and she went on break. That was it. Then today, I go with a friend and my son. SAME terrible waitress; well I ate about a 1/3 of my plate and noticed a hair... Yeah... Not happy. She literally walked up as I discovered it an she smiled and ask if everything was okay. I said Hmm I just found this hair in my food and was showing my friend, the waitress smiles and laughes and walks away. Okay!? So when she finally came back around I told her I wasn't finished eating and Im not eating another bite with the hair on it. She said okay I'll talk to my manager. She comes back out and says since you've ate it all they will give you $2 off. REALLY!?! I let her know quickly I wasn't paying a penny for this food and I didn't even get to eat the rest of my lunch. She then gets more mad and walks off to talk about us. Comes back and said manager said that was okay. All while acting like we inconvenienced her. This place WAS our new normal place to go (we eat mexican once a week). We use a spirit card for free cheese dip when order is over 30, our check was $26 because they agreed to take the meal off and then charged us for the cheese dip! I ask him about it, he was rude. My friend said just don't worry about it and let him know we won't be back. And he smirked. I told him I would be sharing my picture of my food and leaving a review he said go right ahead. Have not been able to go out very much due to Covid! Took a chance and went to Mi Casita in Georgetown. It's the best Tex-Mex around. We went early afternoon on 1/31/21. The service was very good and really fast. The food was steaming hot and excellent start to finish! Possibly an authentic Mexican offering or two would be nice, but as it is it's great! Great big ass Mexican restaurant. The service here is spot on. The wait staff are attentive, fast, and friendly. You truly couldn't ask for more. They have a full service bar and ice their mugs. Chips and salsa was fresh, I ordered the chicken enchilada platter. Really good a tad bland for my taste but still good. My mom had the tacos which were really good. The last few times I've been it's been lacking a little bit though whether it be forgetting an order, no refill, waiting on the check. If I could leave a negative stars I would....this is by far the worst place in Georgetown to eat at...from.the shitty service and disrespectful staff to the large portions of overly salted food..the worst of is was the ticket...me and the wife ordered 2 meals with drinks (soda) now they where 7.99 & 8.99 plus there drinks prices of 1.69 each...so at worst we where like it'll be 25 bucks...the ticket comes and when go to pay the lady says 42.50...and explained that the menu prices are OLD menus and the ticket was 40 bucks...these menus where brand new looking yall...i was like you have us confused and explained our order the lady was extremely rude and was yelling you pay or we call cops...so after a manger comes up we explain the situation and no I don't speak Spanish except how the menus are pronounced and again he says 42.50 with the same menu excuse as being old...this was goin no where and I finally exploded made a ass of myself threw 30 bucks at em and left. The food portions are huge, oversalted and apparently cost double as they are OLD menu prices, we did not let this one experience ruin it we did try this place one more time thinking the situation would be better and this time we ordered both of the orders never came correct...i told.them explicitly no tomatoes I will DIE from them I'm extremely allergic to them and strawberrie seeds...1st go...mine packed with tomatoes hers with the guac she didn't want...2nd time they bring me a complete different order and hers looked as if they jus scraped the guac off and filled with beans to cover it that she accepted and tried to eat but instead of chicken it was beef so it was sent on back to...before the 3rd incident we jus got up and left...the waitress this time was the rude one with a attitude problem as if the English im speaking is Greek and couldnt understand what it is we where wanting, I maintained the best composure before jus saying the hell with it and went to zaxbys...which is the BEST chicken joint in Georgetown IMO...i would recommend PePes across from Wal-Mart before this place to anyone...at least there the food is decent, the people's language barrier is more tolerable and the prices are as advertised with monster drinks if you like beers with you meals, portions are more than filling...i don't think a business with this kinda management and service could make it right as we would not be returning...any of the reviews you see on here is jazzed up people that are relatives or close friends with people that work there trying to create more business for crooks and shit service read more

This place very is mediocre. The food matches it's price. Chips and salsa were fair. We ordered guacamole and asked if it was made in house. They said yes. However there is no chance! It definitely came from a tub. It was extremely bland. No tomatoes, no spice. The entrees were no different not a whole lot of flavor. Disclaimer: this experience takes the prize of my worst restaurant experience ever, and I've had a lot of bad ones. Yes, this is the huge newer location. I confirmed that I am posting toward the correct one. When we first sat down, to make a long story short, service was slow. Not a huge deal at that point because although they weren't busy inside (which is where we sat) the patio area was packed. I ordered "fish tacoS" from the seafood menu, the ala carte menu didn't include or list any seafood tacos, so I assumed that wasn't offered ala carte. When my fish tacoS was brought out, it was one, that had a thin slice of fish that didn't reach across the tortilla, lettuce and shredded cheese and was very underwhelming. Even the smallest, inexpensive local taquerias throw in a lime and cilantro. Here is where it gets even more complicated; my husband who tens of times had been to the older Mi Castita across the street and not even a mile down the road, always gets the carna asada meal. This time they brought out in three flour tortillas, with just chicken and the soggy tortillas, beans and rice on the side. After tasting two bites, my husband politely asked the waitress if he could just have fresh corn tortillas, she rudely informed him that he would have to pay extra for the tortillas. He politely handed her the plate with two bites taken from it and said, "well, if you're going to serve soggy tortillas then I don't want the meal at all". Not only did he address the issue with a solution, not even as a complaint. Honestly, I myself would've eaten it, sogginess and all... just like I ate the sucky fish taco. But in actuality the one in the wrong was the waitress and then it turned into four other employees making a scene over it. From what he tells me is that the many times that he has ordered the same meal from their other location, it comes with corn torillias, so they're not soggy after they add the chicken. Ten minutes later, I approached the cashiers stand, half way wondering if they were going to offer him a menu and half way wondering if I should ask for the check, I asked for the check and he immediately and rudely started yelling Spanish... it was so uncomfortable. Then, after a few more employees peek around the corner, a short older lady came up and gave us the check. I assumed that she was a form of management. I can exaggerate and say that she tossed it or slammed the bill down, but the truth was that any way that she placed it, I now have a negative recollection. I said to her "he politely asked the waitress for new tortillas, the last option was sending the meal back" . She then shut one eye and rolled the other, turned her head to him and proceeded to explain that she was still going to charge him because he can't come in and eat free chips. Free chips?! I have eaten at almost every Mexican restaurant in central Ky and this place takes the cake on the worst customer service , apparent management and wait staff. read more

Horrible all around. Food is flavorless, no seasoning at all. Everything tastes the same no matter what you order. Not even real Mexican food (based on living 20+ years in southern New Mexico) The sad thing is that the service is worse than the food. And they make no apologies for it. Even when you ask someone specifically for something, you've got about a 20% chance of actually getting it. We have given this place several different tries and always the same horrible results. I have been to this restaurant several times and I think I am giving up on it. Today I went there and ordered the combo with enchilada, burrito and taco. I asked for beef, assuming it would be the shredded. The meat on it was very finely ground hamburger; very watery and not at all seasoned. I told the server I didn't understand that it would not be shredded and he shrugged and said the menu really doesn't say that it wouldn't be shredded, agreeing with me, but maybe I could say something as I paid. He didn't offer to get me anything else. Also the cheese there is just weird; It's very light but i don't think it's mozzarella. I'm not sure what it is, but it's not very good. There was nothing else in the burrito or in the enchilada; just beef. On the positive side, I did tell the cashier and he did take about five dollars off my bill. I just don't think I will be back.
