The foam to cold brew ratio was off from the beginning, and I wished for more coffee than cold foam, but it was still rather acidic to me. My son has been going to K brew for 4 years because he has severe food allergies and we have always been able to get a bagel with just ham and bacon. Today he went and was told by a manager that they will not do specialty bagels. The former manager knew us we went there so much. The Airbnb nearby, where we stayed, gave us a sample of their coffee to advertise LOCAL. I LOVED that, so I headed to the coffee shop to check it out. The space is LOVELY... very up-scale with lots of light coming in & lots of seating. (Many people were there working, so I assume they have good wifi.) The staff was SUPER sweet & helpful. The mocha I got was delicious..... But... My issue is with the PRICES. A medium-sized mocha -- that, at $6.50, was already more expensive than Starbucks or any other coffee shop close-by I'd tried, -- was $7.50 with almond milk. $8.20 with tax. I did tip... so a medium mocha was over $9!? Unreasonable in my book.... that's Room Service prices. ;P ALTHOUGH, I will say that, IF you're staying to use their wifi, I think it's not as bad.... But for those of us who were getting it to go, it's ridiculous. I was thinking, after I left, about WHAT could possibly validate the high cost....the coffee bags don't mention organic or fair trade... Maybe the staff is paid higher or they get insurance? I like the new policy at some restaurants that slightly increases the cost of food & doesn't take tips but pays "fair wage & benefits" to employees... but this place had a place for tips so I don't think that's the case.... Plenty of seating, great music and plenty of places to charge your devices. The hammock room is separated from the rest and there were plenty of hammocks. Both the coffee and the bagel sandwich were extremely disappointing. The cold brew was almost sour tasting. I also grabbed a latte with some almond flavoring but the aftertaste was almost chemical in nature. Although they're ous for their bagels and in-house cream cheese, the bagel selection was down to jalapeno cheddar and everything. At only 12pm. C'MON GUYS! You're a bagel place and you can't keep enough bagels by lunch time? DO BETTER! Although the bagel itself was adequately sized, it was not properly toasted. I had a turkey apple wood bacon with Swiss cheese and a pickle. The complete and utter lack of bacon, flavor and a pickle that stood out over everything made the experience sick all the more. I came here the other day with my girlfriend. Right away, I loved the friendly service. Andrew, one of the managers, took my order and even provided me with a little palate cleanser along with my ordered cappuccino. I have been seeking the perfect cappuccino since I moved here, and I have to say this has got to be it. Absolutely, loved the flavor here! And I also adored the cool atmosphere --very spacious inside and if it wasn't such a hot day, we would have sat in the outside room with the cool hammocks. Great stop on our way to a morning hike. Very friendly staff, clean tables and swinging hammocks to sit on outside. Our lattes were very tasty, served hot and reasonably priced. The reason for the four stars was the bagel sandwiches. We both ordered a custom sandwich and the bagel was doughy with an egg that was previously frozen, rubbery and not good. We were bummed and only took one bite and had to throw them away. We stayed to swing, had a fun morning regardless and enjoyed our lattes on the patio. The next driveway over you can find the Welcome to Knoxville mural and it's a great place for fun photos. We would definitely return but only for a coffee. Visited again while in town and had a much better experience! I didn't realize they had a combo! The combos is a black coffee or cappuccino AND a bagel and spread and I think it's only like $6?! I got a black coffee and an Asiago bagel with whipped butter. This was seriously one of the best bagels I've ever had. Might be the best latte I've ever had. Tried their two featured lattes- Pumpkin Pie and Brown Sugar. Both were made with real ingredients, not just syrups and that was evident in the great flavor. I would stop by Knoxville again for more. A bit pricey. $7 for the features latte and $1 for oat milk substitution but I suppose you're paying for quality. When paying it looks like there is a reward program so that may help for regulars or someone who lives in town. VERY cute atmosphere and clean. Bagel sandwiches and coffee were clutch coming back from vacation. Ordering online for pickup made it easy for us to swing off the interstate, grab food, and get back on the interstate. They have hammocks... 'Nuff Said? A trustee Knoxville local directed me to this trendy little hangout, conveniently located just 2 minutes off the freeway when heading West. The building itself is unique and inviting. They have their own parking lot out front but I decided to park next door in the Felding store lot as the Knoxville town mural is painted there, and being the social media guru I am I just had to grab a picture or 10. When I turned the corner and saw the coffee shop I was immediately blow away at the indoor hammock area where you could kick off your shoes, comfortably lounge, sip your espresso, plug your laptop in, and view the outdoor sunshine while powering down on work. There were also 2 community tables in the outdoor garage area and plenty of bar, table and couch seating indoors. I ordered a double shot over ice with a splash of soy milk in there. They brought it to me on a classy little tray with a shot of sparkling water to cleanse my palette and a circle infographic stating all the possible flavor attachments to the espresso. Honestly, I didn't dive much into the sensory experience of it as I had so much work to do, but I thoroughly enjoyed sipping my espresso while working. It was definitely a high-end roast, not too acidic, and would pair well with oat milk (*wink wink). I'm not one to ever enjoy sparkling drinks (sober) but the little shot of chilled perrier was shockingly refreshing. I would sip sparkling then chase with espresso and was so surprised what difference it made in really tasting the smoothness of their roast. Such a great touch! K Brew is being added to my list of favorite coffee shops in the US. From the modern, brick environment indoors to the cozy hammock lounge out in the garage, no one can be uncomfortable here. The staff were sweet and accommodating, bathroom very clean and well decorated, strong outlets and wifi, plenty of parking, a fantastic wall mural, and tasty craft espresso that isn't ridiculously priced.. This is a wonderful K Brew! There are garage doors that in the summer or warm days you can get the inside and outside feel. The coffee is always wonderful and tasty. Thankfully the barista remade my drink, no questions asked. I had an iced matcha instead and while I felt like it tasted flavorless, it had the creamiest texture that I look for in oat milk teas!!!! I definitely want to stop by again for the matcha and just ask for it with extra sugar to see if it helps enhance the flavor. My wife asked for a decaf pour over & they acted like it was the most ridiculous thing they'd ever heard of. They said they'd do it "this one time but they were pretty sure they aren't allowed to normally." What? It's coffee, it's not illegal smuggling.
