I must have eaten here hundreds of times as part of a Saturday morning prayer breakfast. Easy to find on Nillis road in Fairfield. The menus is pretty expansive with comfort food for any time of the day. Plenty of parking and always clean, add great service (thank you Lisa!) and you have a super experience that makes you want to come back. Today I had the everything omelette that was stuffed with goodies and very cheesy. The hash browns were crunchy and the bacon crispy. Consistently delicious, it's hard to go wrong. If I could give no stars I would !! First we walk in they seat us and are waitress was very impatient. There was another lady behind us cleaning a table and she sat some plates with gravy on then on the booth back behind my husband and she dropped them on my husband he got covered in gravy and she was very apologetic which was very nice of her and she got us napkins and said sorry.. but when we told the lady at the register they offered us a free peace of dessert!! I mean really ? A $5 pie ? She dropped plates all over him full of gravy ! This should have been handled very differently! I will never return here ! read more

I haven't been to Perkins in many years .We decided to go try it out again.I had my heart set on Chinese food .So I just ordered a double chocolate muffin to share for the table .We wanted to see if it was as good as we remembered.Unfortunately it was not .Pretty dry .Not a chocolate chip to be found .So basically just tasted like plain chocolate cake .My daughter ordered the chicken tender meal with two sides .Broccoli and fries .My boyfriend went for a small breakfast plate .The bacon was really hard and crisp .Not what he preferred .But that's my favorite way to eat bacon .Egg was supposed to be over easy .But most of the white was raw very unappetizing..Pancakes were just meh .My daughter got the mini raspberry lemon cake .Very strange tasting .Very fake .The lemon was almost candy or lemonade tasting .The raspberry was also kinda odd .Like gelatin.You would think a bakery would do better .Oddly enough ,the best thing was definitely the chicken strips !!! Very meaty and freshly prepared.Perfect amount of crunch .Paired with honey mustard .The broccoli was pretty good also .Fries were just ok .My daughter originally wanted chicken and waffles .But unfortunately that's not a meal there .So to order chicken then a waffle .one waffle???11:50 just for one waffle ??? To that place a chicken dinner would have been like 23 dollars.Thats kind of crazy .Id like to see chicken and waffles added to the menu .With those prices you could just go to first watch .Also I thought Perkins are known for deals ? First, I love Perkins usually, today was the worst experience though. I don't know if it was the manager on duty or what! I placed a Door Dash order which was a little over $50, when it arrived it was half the order, kinda. I ordered a salad which didn't show up, my coworker ordered eggs and pancakes which was wrong as well. I didn't know about the eggs being wrong but I called to ask where my salad was and was told I could come pick it after I paid to have it delivered. She said well I can get a credit but she wasn't going to deliver it and hung up after I said I'll just dispute the whole charge. I call DoorDash and they offered me $4 for my refund, which is a story for another day. I tell my coworker what happened and he said I got cheese when I checked no cheese on his eggs and his drink never showed up. Anytime I had an issue the manager always was pleasant and respectful, definitely not the case today. So I'm out $50 right now for food I never received an improperly prepared meal. This is my favorite place to go. I often get the chicken club melt. It's chicken tenders bacon and cheese. It comes with fries but can be substituted for a salad. The ranch dressing that comes with it is awesome! I also tried the fried pickles and they are a must try! The staff is very friendly and takes care of their customers. Check them out. read more

I have been to this Perkins many times over the years, and I have to say... I think they have stepped up their game. I remember enjoying it when I was younger, (and on some nights having it after going out..so those times are fuzzy...) and thinking it was good, but nothing to do cartwheels over. Now I'm a little older, so cartwheels are probably not in my future, but there have been a couple things there that made me contemplate doing a few. I tried the Pumpkin Pancakes when they were in season, and I have to tell you, they were fantastic! It was like eating a pumpkin pie made into a pancake. It was THAT good! YUM! The other day I went with my dad and got a waffle, it was so light and fluffy that I just wanted to curl up in my booth and take a nap after eating it. The staff have been friendly and fast each time I have gone in. I see that these other reviews were from 2011 so perhaps they have nicer and newer folks in now? As far as Perkins go, this is a great location and I'm sure I'll be there soon to stuff some more waffles into my face. read more

Whenever I'm in the area this is my Perkins of choice! I love the service and there is a gentleman who is always there (he says he eats there every day) he is so welcoming and strikes up conversations with everyone who comes and out of the restaurant. I go for the muffins and and omelet, but have ventured out to some of the newer menu items. Perkins is consistent with the quality and great taste of their food. I recommend anything on the menu. read more

I had the tremendous 12. You have to eat some now save some for later. The meal included 4 pancakes, 4 strips of bacon, breakfast potatoes, and 3 eggs. The meal was delicious and consistent. The service was excellent. The coffee was good. They had bakery items on display for holiday purchase. Best of all the price was right. read more

I met a colleague for breakfast here recently and it was good. I wasn't expecting a whole lot - it IS Perkins, after all - and I wasn't disappointed. I had pancakes with fruit and coffee. After I joked about her not wandering too far from the table with the coffee, the waitress left the whole pot on the table. My kind of waitress! The place is nice and clean and not noisy at all (at least not at 8am on a Tuesday). FYI - the fella I was meeting goes there often enough that he ordered "the usual". I ordered the blueberry lemon pie pancake platter. This comes with eggs and sausage or bacon. I chose turkey sausage. I washed it down with a twin berry lemonade spritzer. It's pretty good. I'm not a pancaker but I figured since I'm in a new place I might as well try something new. The pancakes are on the thin side but easy to chew and digest. I think it's the meringue makes them a bit slimy. I didn't even need syrup! Eggs are typical, I should probably order them scrambled hard next time and sausage patty is fine. I wanted to treat my wife and kids out for "breakfast" for dinner time. When we arrived to the Fairfield location at 8:30pm we noticed that we where the only customers in the restaurant. We when quickly seated and placed our orders. My disappointment began when our server brought out our food. All of our meals were a disaster. Belgian Waffle were over cooked and smoke sausage was completely and l visibility burnt. My Bayou Omelet Skillet(omelette, shrimp and tater tot's) Was piece together with the scraps. Shrimp was hot tater tot's were cold, my omelette was warm, Green peppers were cold And the shredded cheese on top was cold and unmelted. In fact the skillet itself was brought out with a pen holder however the skillet was lukewarm. In my opinion we were the only customers in the building and our food should've been cooked properly. Perhaps this was due to the staff beginning their closing processes. Vacuuming,cleaning etc. So busy in fact they were unable to refill drinks or even check on us to see if we needed anything. I have been here many times as my mother lives near by and it is a convenient place to grab lunch. The food is decent and Perkins has some of the better pancakes around (light and fluffy) but it's the service that has always, for lack of a better word, sucked. Maybe it is the lack of business which doesn't allow them to keep decent wait staff, but service here is really underwhelming - and that is even after factor in it is a Perkins. Top that off with a bathroom that always reeks of sewer gas and the overall experience leaves a bad taste in ones mouth (oddly not the food though) There are a few options in the area for dining and unless you have to have the food you'll want to spend your money elsewhere. read more

I always want to give a good review when a restaurant is in my hood. Not this time Perkins sorry. My son and I usually go to bob Evans for breakfast but decided something different this time. The waitress stressed me out immediately with too many questions in a rapid fire. I use restaurants to help my socially awkward son to learn how to respond properly in social situations. When he took longer to respond you could tell the annoyance on her face. Then I saw her retrieve a tip from one of her other tables and show serious disgust at what she got. I got scrambled eggs sausage links and biscuits and gravy. My sausage gravy was gravy w/ sausage patties cut in half. The biscuits were not fresh they were like thawed out frozen biscuits. Walked in at 10 on a tuesday night. The wait staff was great and the food was great. Much better then my recent Frisch's experience.

For starters, 10 seconds after we sat down the waitress asked us if we were ready to order. We asked for a minute to decide. She came back 30 seconds later and she asked again and then took out drink orders. Then I ordered a pain cheeseburger and macaroni and cheese. My mother ordered her food with a side salad. The waitress was very rude when we ordered seemed to get angry when my brother asked for a substitution. My mother's salad didn't come until we got our food. My burger wasn't how I ordered it and had all the extra stuff on it. I scrapped it off the bun and ate the burger. While the burger was good, the macaroni and cheese look almost like cottage cheese and was white. It tasted very bad. Not my best experience to say the least. read more
