We love to get breakfast here when visiting the area. The staff is honestly so so nice and amazingly kind. The only frustration was it did take about 25 minutes for us to get our drinks and we had all arrived quite thirsty so it was a bummer. The new American trio meals that they have are very affordably priced for a restaurant breakfast. We upgraded most of them to add a fruit or chocolate chips and that was wonderful. We also ordered a couple meals to go and they were very quick and hot and tasty. We had a great experience and will definitely return. read more

We have ate at this Perkins for 3+ yrs about once a week. Tipped well, moved tables they sat us in the middle of our meal, to accomadate there lack of planing with a smile. We went there with a guest this morning and orderd, the server walked away while we were half way done with the order. She comes back with runny, raw eggs. (Not what I asked for.) When I asked if I could get egg's cooked well, she rolled her eyes like a defiant child and groaned! Telling me to give the raw egg's back that ran onto the pancakes, that were cold on top by the time she asked about the plate that I had moved away from me, because I did'nt want to even look at it, while everyone else's meal was over half consumed. The Mgr comes over and tells me that they will prepair the egg's the way I orderd them 40 some mins ago and to eat the cold pancakes with raw egg yoke on them, like she was doing me a favor. I said no thank you, You can have it all back. Then the Mgr expects me to order something else even though I am sick to my stomach at this point. I said " I dont want to argue, I just dont want anything else now. "So after trying to strong arm me into some food that I knew better than to eat. She was so kind to take the nasty stuff away and off the bill. Only after I asked a number of times for this. Even Burger King will make it your way, why cant Perkins? My boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here today, We ordered from the 55 Plus menu (since we are both 55 plus) and got the two egg omelet with wheat toast for $8. 69.. The meal superb. Visited Perkins at about 8:30 on a Wednesday after a band concert at the middle school. We were seated right away and our server was relatively attentive which was really nice. The food also arrived relatively quick due to there only being a few cooks. Ordered a basic platter with Turkey sausage and egg whites with pancakes which was really good. The sausage was really dry but that was probably the meat choice. The pumpkin cheesecake was pretty disappointing. Didn't taste like much and had very little spice. Definitely wouldn't order it again but everything else was good. read more

I don't normally write reviews unless I get bad service. But I find this Perkins in Maple Grove MN to be Awesome. This is my families Perkins of choice passing by two other much closer Perkins just to go to the Maple Grove location. Our server Taylor was attentive, polite and very in tune to our group needs. She is an example of what a waitress or waiter should be. The food was great, and the building / bathroom cleanliness was exemplary. Food is horrible here! To start, my waffle was way too crisp. The waitress put down that my mom wanted hard eggs not over easy so they came out wrong. The waitress did not make a note of this on the bill so the hostess was trying to charge extra for eggs that didn't come out correct due to waitress being an air head. My eggs were cold. The waffle came with no butter and I had to have it confirmed that I wanted the whip cream. There was also no ketchup at the table. Gross food, don't come here. Not to mention I wiped something brown off my water cup, ish! The water cups are super small that I didn't even bother to ask for a lemon as the water cups are cheap and make the water taste funky. I took the muffin home and ate it the next day when keep in mind I was hungry. Worst muffin I've ever had tasted stale and just plain funky. Wish I could give it a 0 star. read more

Go here during busy hours if you want food. If you go at 2pm on a Tuesday you probably will only get drinks. We were sat down and got drinks within 3 min. Sat there for another 15-20 just waiting to order and I had to go to work so I couldn't even eat. This is by far the best Perkins Restaurant & Bakery within a 10 mile radius of where I live. I have been to all around the area, but this one several times a month. Always excellent service, clean bathrooms and quick meals with short wait times. Seem like the manager(s) and wait staff care a lot about giving customers great service, no matter how busy they area. One server Shawana with a great smile and personality, goes the extra to make sure customers are taken care of with an enjoyable meal. Great service and friendly people! My partner and I were craving the pancakes. I adore them! We were able to get a table within 2 minutes of arriving which was great for a Sunday. I've been to this location many times for breakfast and I've always enjoyed it. Weekends after 10:30 there will probably be a wait, but it's a decent sized place so the wait typically isn't too bad. The food is pretty standard at a reasonable price. They often have coupons so I'd advise to check your mail before going to save a couple dollars. They're open 24/7 and at night they have half priced apps, half off pie, and all you can eat pancakes for a reasonable price. read more

Raw eggs people. Not slightly undercooked but raw. Told the waitress who was super nice. She told her manager who came to our table but never mentioned the eggs at all. Pretended like nothing was wrong. The waitress came back and asked if her manager took care of it. I told her she didn't. Typical Perkins restaurant, from the decor to the menu. It's an old reliable place to find yourself a decent breakfast at a decent price. The wait staff here is pretty average, but not anything to complain about. My only complaint was the amount of time it took to get our orders; pushing 30 minutes from the time we placed them. However, it was Memorial Day at 11 and many other local restaurants were closed or stopped serving breakfast by that time. I had a little too much fun yesterday, so I had a ravenous appetite and need for eggs and bakey ASAP. The place was packed, but the wait to be seated was only 10 minutes. I had the Hearty Man's Combo ($10), which consists of 2 eggs, smoked sausage, 2 applewood smoked bacon strips and 2 sausage links with choice of smash browns, breakfast potatoes, tots, or fruit and choice of 3 pancakes, muffin, toast or 2 biscuits. I went with the over easy eggs, smash browns and pancakes on the optional choices. The smash browns are just smushed tater tots. The waiter warned me that they had onions in them, and that people that don't like onions tend to be put off by the extra onion flavor, but there were no onions to be tasted or seen. Bummer, since I love onions and they were pretty bland otherwise. The rest of it was tasty and hit the spot. Too many pancakes, in my opinion, but what I could finish of them were delicious. Washed it all down with a pot of coffee, which helped kill the crummy feeling I had when I walked in the doors. I'm in no hurry to go back, but it's a good plan B or C and a reliable place where I know it will always be consistent food quality. That's Perkins to me. read more

Nice and warm restaurant in which to eat when the air temperature outside is negative 10°. We were very pleased to be warm and toasty while we were eating. Great selection. 3 different menus. Had a tough time choosing my meal. I ended up going with the breakfast burrito. It was quite tasty and was a pretty good deal. Although, it would have been even better with a little more salsa and sour cream. Tuesdays the kids eat free.... but apparently that is only if the 2 year old in your group doesn't polish off an entire adult meal. The wait time to be seated was awful...we stood at the front entrance for like 15 minutes while one older lady slowly rang up a long line with their bills. Worst service I've ever had a restaurant took nearly two hours

I find this one of our favorite Perkins restaurants! Mike runs a very good ship!!! And Lisa is his star server.

Sub par terrible food, even by Perkins standards. Service was OK but still fake and boring. Will not go back again even for the new "rewards" program. The hash browns tasted like they were grilled in fish oil. The three pancakes were hard to cut through. The plates were super hot, however the food was warm at best, while we're on the topic of plates too, they served the omelette and hash browns on a super huge plate and the pancakes on another plate that was just right. This had the effect of making me think that I was being over charged. The omelette was passable, only because the poured it out of a carton, more than likely. The waitress was not the worst ever. I certainly never expect to have to take a plate from the server, and she handed me my food. This doesn't seem right. She was also a trainer there and seemed more interested in going by the book than my actual experience. She barely stopped by the table when asking after the first bites with the obligatory "how is everything?" It's easy to see why Perkins and Marie Calendar's are failing. I remember this perkins being one of the best late night stops around the cities. I didn't realize I had that much to drink. Do yourself a favor and go to The Kopper Kettle if it's breakfast or Lunch you're looking for. read more

I awoke with a message from the staff that I had left it, and it was secured in the office. Very thankful as I am a contractor and from out of town, staying in a hotel.
