Honestly, the whole experience was disappointing. I would encourage any reader to stop and check out Uffda Donuts instead (right next door) for any sweet treats. I called late Monday morning to set up a Wednesday 7am pick‑up because I needed breakfast for a Leadership training event. I live closer to Maple Grove, which is why I ordered from that location, but since I was commuting to Burnsville, the timing was really important. The woman who took my order didn't write everything down, so the store called me Tuesday. No big deal. I was actually glad they double‑checked. But that's when I found out the online menu doesn't match what they actually sell. I wanted two dozen rolls, half cinnamon and half caramel. Turns out caramel rolls with nuts are still listed online but aren't even available anymore. Whatever. I adjusted. When I showed up Wednesday at 7am, the woman at the counter clearly knew I was the one picking up the big order. They weren't busy, but she started running around like she had no idea what was going on. She told me the rolls had *just* come out of the oven and she needed to figure out how to package them. It was already past my pick‑up time. She apologized, but I was frustrated. I asked how long it would be, and she said five minutes. I didn't walk out until after 7:15. If you commute, you know how much that throws off your whole morning. And then... the cinnamon rolls weren't even frosted. The presentation was honestly pretty sad. When I asked about the frosting, she hesitated and then proceeded to go in the back to fill a cup of their icing. I won't be using GHBC for corporate events again. Stopped in after walking dogs to pick up some sandwiches. Service was quick for ordering, and sandwiches took a bit more time because they're made when ordered and several were ahead of my order. Ambiance is basic bread shop, quarters were a bit tight, but not awful. This store has a walkthrough to Uff-Da Donuts too. I ordered a Garlicky Cubano $13.50 and Baja Chipotle Turkey $13.50. Both were underwhelming. Lacking flavor, really soft almost wonder bread style bread. Will not be ordering sandwiches here again. read more

I had high hopes so it's my fault for not walking out when I realized that I was in a bread store but could not smell bread....lol! I ordered a Turkey sandwich(see picture). I paid 14.00 and change. boy!!!! Am I so disappointed now that I'm eating it. There is just enough Turkey in it to legally call it "turkey sandwich". A quest for local cinnamon rolls took us to Great Harvest. Upon entering I was surprised at how many options were in a seemingly small location. To the right was a table with various rolls and tea cakes. To the left in the order line was walls full of baked goods and mixes. There were two people ahead of us so we had time to peruse a bit and choose a few pre wrapped items. The location also offered some sandwiches and other cafe options to eat in as they had a small seating area tucked around the front door. Overall the space was very small though so I don't think I'd recommend it as a place to meet up but better situated for items to go. A nice touch might be offering some outdoor seating in good weather just to expand options for people wanting to stay. As you were waiting to make your purchases you could see a lot of activity in the back bakery portion which meant that everything was fresh! We ordered our cinnamon rolls and got the last four on the available rack until the next batch came out. So they were a hot commodity that morning! The service was nice but was a bit slow. The person running the register was also preparing all the orders but I did notice another person off to the side that possibly could've been helping in this area. None of the cinnamon rolls were frosted, likely because they we're still hot, so that added additional time for the person ahead of us and our party with going and collecting frosting separately to send with us as we ordered. Not a huge deal of course but the team could have partnered together a bit more to keep people moving. In terms of taste, everything we ordered was delicious! The cinnamon rolls were some of the best that I've had in a while and they gave plenty of frosting with us to go. Someone else in my party got a gluten free granola like bar and cinnamon bread that barely made it home before we started sampling. We also got a tea cake to enjoy throughout the weekend that was a perfect pairing for a morning coffee or a late night snack. I think Great Harvest is going to become a place that definitely makes it into our list of places to revisit in the future! read more

If you're looking spot with fresh baked bread, you need to check if Great Harvest Bread Company. I was looking for breakfast sandwiches in the Maple Grove area and discovered this little gem. If you also love the smell of fresh baked bread, this is your spot to go to! There a nice selection of baked bread along the shelf with biscotti and other misc baked goods to select from. Seating was limited, there's about 3-4 small tables in the corner if you're in to stop for a quick sandwich bite and coffee. They also have a deli for sandwiches and coffee. Some sandwiches give you the option to choose from any fresh bake bread they have available. It's a nice little deli with plenty of sandwich options to choose from. Think of sandwiches you can make from home, fresh with a homey take. There's pepperoni rolls, berry swirled loaves, cinnamon swirl loaves, ryes and many different kind of bread loaves. I also got a bag of the cafe mocha biscotti and had them with coffee at home, was my favorite purchase! Also you can see them making and rolling large batches of the bread right behind the cashier! Tasty bread and more! We ventured in just to purchase some bread to have with a seafood meal we making and ended up purchasing a ton more. Did you know they make homemade dog treats?!? We bought some for our chihuahua, Buddy, and he loves them! While quickly looking for what we wanted, they had a garlic and cheddar bread that we used to make BLT sandwiches with! (Picture included). We used turkey bacon and garlic aioli. Crave worthy! Will purchase again! We also purchased cafe biscottis and blueberry lemon scones. The biscottis were a little large to chomp through, but were yummy dipped in some coffee. The blueberry lemon had full blueberries in them and were incredible. Those were my fav! Delicious bread. Very fresh and unusual combinations.. I especially love the cinnamon chip and the chocolate babka.

I've been very impressed by the different breads I've gotten from here. The Cheddar Garlic went super well with the ham I made for Thanksgiving, and the sourdough has a very pleasant taste for sandwiches. The coconut biscottis are super delicious as well. I'm not as much a fan of their cinnamon rolls, but I think that's more that I'm looking for something really sweet and gooey and theirs are a bit denser and not as sweet. read more

Very disappointing! Lots of breads and goodies on website ingredient list that do not have white flour, but virtually nothing in store without white flour, just one regular loaf of bread. Family road trip stop today, important update: donuts are no longer on the menu, they stopped selling them a year or two ago according to the server. Too bad! My husband and I had the scones, which had great taste and texture: we had blueberry/while chocolate and lemon/white chocolate. Latte and coffee were good. Found this cute little gem of a bread place on my recent trip to Maple Grove. I had the egg and cheese breakfast on a croissant, it was so cheesy and delicious! Took a loaf of bread home (the one with sunflower and a variety of other seeds, can't recall the name) and almond biscotti home. Both were so good and hearty. They will let you sample the breads and always are there to give you a suggestion/something to try. I hate giving poor reviews but this experience was definitely not up to par. Great Harvest is always known for its fresh bread, but it definitely won't be known for it's service today. I came to order a tuna sandwich for lunch. I was hungry so I ordered the full sandwich, which is a little spendy but seemed to be worth it. When my sandwich was ready, they gave it to the wrong person. I had to awkwardly tell the person it was mine because I ordered it cold and they ordered it hot. They should have a system for identifying who belongs to which sandwich rather than assuming only one person during the lunch rush ordered tuna. I brought the sandwich back to work to eat it and realize they only gave me half a sandwich. Super disappointing!! Also the tuna was super juicy and dripped all over the place; that didn't seem too fresh to me. This place is in the midst of a few Maple Grove strip malls. It isn't too hard to find and there is a parking lot. The restaurant itself is pretty minimal. Most of the extra space is for selling their items in bulk. Overall, I still like their cookies and bread but I will not return here for lunch. read more

I make a monthly trek to MG, needed to also stop at a Walgreens, and managed to get lost. I spotted this place out of the corner of my eye. I didn't need any bread, but I was curious. This one is so different. It has a nice seating area, a little kid corner, and a decent sized bathroom. It was a Monday so no bread was bagged. I happen to spot some of the daily pepperoni rolls. They were different, as they were short, fat individual size. This was a heavenly moment, to get these shortly out of the oven. Cheesy and meaty, the flavor of the oil, was a blend indescribable. Before you hit the line, the is a refrigerator of beverages and desserts. A generous size of an individual piece of pineapple coconut cake was perfect for dessert that night. Everything in this place is like crack... and it be callin' me. I've been talking about the cinnamon swirl bread to the point that my wife told me to shut my cinnamon swirl bread hole. Great customer service, but their baguette was a lousy effort. Not that it tasted bad per se, but it didn't have any of the characteristics of a good baguette. It was overly soft, with no significant crust to speak of. And it was coated with cornmeal on the bottom, a big no no in France! A good baguette should have plenty of air pockets, and the crust should flake off when you rip it. read more

We stopped for our second visit and purchased the high five fiber loaf ($6.25) which we had been introduced to by a friend. Good and hearty. Our first visit was to find a good dipping bread, which was their focaccia and good. However, the service both times was abrupt and non-friendly, as if they were doing us a favor by taking our money. Strange. We made the mistake of buying 6 cookies and a package of biscotti with the bread, for a total of $23. The cookies were dry and the biscotti not much better. I walked in a few minutes before closing, and still had a great experience. The staff greeted me immediately, and offered samples of the day's breads. The person behind the counter was extremely knowledgable about the breads, and really friendly. The bread I wanted wasn't on the schedule until the next day, and when I indicated I'd be back for it, a loaf was reserved for me. The loaves of breads themselves are on the dense end of the bread spectrum, but the rolls and buns are lighter. Definitely check the schedule for what's available on what days. I recommend the focaccia, cinnamon chip, and Popeye. Also, try their cinnamon butter, it's a delicious treat. read more
