DH and I really like coming to this restaurant! We enjoy the atmosphere and service here. The waitresses always have made us feel welcome and have taken great care of us. This time I brought my mom and she really enjoyed the options on the menu. She ordered the "triple egg dare ya" and I ordered the "twice as nice combo". The food was delicious! We enjoyed our experience because our server was so attentive and friendly! She made sure that everything was cooked the way we wanted and that we were happy. She also refilled our drinks and when my mom decided to take some muffins home (buy 3 get 3 free) she told us what was available and brought them right over. I have to say that I visited this Perkins Restaurant in Orange City, Florida, today, Monday, March 16, 2026, and I was highly impressed. Our waitress, Crystal, was very courteous from the moment we arrived until we left. She made sure our order was handled by advising the manager on duty, Brooke. Although there was a small incident with my eggs not cooked sunny-side up, like I ordered, I mentioned it to Crystal. I did not expect anything in returned. However, Brooke, the Manager, surprised me with a fresh dish of what I had originally ordered. I told her there was no need for the replacement and she stated, "This is why we are here; making sure we please our customers." To say the least, this is what I call outstanding customer service, where in today's society it is no longer common. Crystal and Brooke should be commended and corporate should be aware that they are both an asset to Perkins. read more

Five stars just for being open Christmas day. Thank you guys. We were on our way back to Orlando from Daytona Beach. There were hardly any restaurants open on Christmas day. Mrs. was yelping, googling, looking, etc. and Perkins showed that it was open. She called and confirmed that they were indeed open. So we ended up here in the afternoon. They were open till 8 PM last night. Restaurant was packed. Parking lot was also full. Luckily they were able to squeeze in a table for our party of three. Order was taken promptly, drinks were brought out immediately and food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. All the waitresses had some sort of Christmas wear (Ugly sweater, lightbulbs necklace, Santa hat, etc.) It was a festive atmosphere inside. We ordered the following: Kids cheeseburger with Fries. Hearty Man's Combo with a buttered roast, eggs well done and breakfast potatoes. Pot roast Stroganoff. Orange Fanta. Total with tax came to $31.00 Patrons were ordering pie's as well. We were stuffed with food or else we would have tried a pie too. Portions are very good sized. Price point on the amount of food served is of great value. Pot Roast Stroganoff is delicious! Our group enjoys meeting at the Perkins Restaurant in Orange City on Saturday mornings. Like other businesses they appear to be in the need for additional employees but that hasn't affected our service. Tina usually waits on us and always does a great job. The food at Perkins is always good and reasonably priced and as mentioned the service is always great. Due to my weight I haven tried the bake goods and pies but they are placed in a glass cabinet by the register and look very fresh. Will always return. read more

It was getting late and we were driving on I-4 West and needed to get dinner. Definitely didn't want fast food and needed to stay close to the interstate, and voila, Perkins appeared on a billboard announcing it was coming up soon. We haven't eaten at a Perkins in a long time, so we decided to take the gamble. It was easy to find, but we did have to make a hairy U-turn to get to it, thanks to a divided highway. The parking lot was half-full, as was the restaurant, and sadly they were very understaffed. Only one hostess and one waitress (Deborah) working. BUT, we received excellent service the entire time we were there. Definitely some hard working ladies. Even short staffed, the restaurant (and bathrooms) was clean. We both ordered the California Avocado Benedict and opted for a warm muffin instead fresh fruit that accompanied it. Excellent choice. We chose the cranberry orange and it was huge, warm, and delicious. It came out first and helped with the hunger pains. The kitchen must have been at full staff because our Benedicts arrived soon after. We really enjoyed them. The eggs were cooked perfectly, as was the bacon. Nice amount of avocado and hollandaise sauce too. (There was an oven-roasted tomato in there as well, neither one of us cared for that, but that is our personal taste due to it's overwhelming sweetness.) Deborah offered us drinks to go, but we declined. We also declined dessert, and believe me, that was hard to do after seeing the bakery case. LOL I don't know quite how much time we spent there, but we took our time and enjoyed our food, but we were in and out and back on the road pretty fast and I appreciated that. This location has the worst breakfast I've had. The scrambled eggs were flat and not fluffy and the potato pancakes were the same. Both items were tasteless. Whoever is cooking in the kitchen is NOT a cook. I have to say our waitress, Michelle was nice & accommodating. However I will never eat at another Perkins again. read more

I've been to this Perkins many times, and I'm a fan. I always enjoy their food and love their pies. I recently tried the Shrimp and Grits, it was very good. It has a Cajun flavor but is not too spicy, which I like. If you love very spicy Cajun food, you might not like it. Perkins has a very nice bakery with very delicious pies and muffins. My favorite dessert is the wildberry pie, just fruit, no added sugar. Perkins is a great place to have brunch or breakfast for dinner. The staff here is always nice and usually the service times are reasonable for a restaurant. read more

We have preferred the Orange City Perkins over the Deland store because of the ambiance (cleanliness). But today we found the same dirty, smelly carpets near the kitchen as we had found with the Deland store. The ladies' bathroom was horrible! Dirty floors, stopped-up toilets, damaged walls between stalls, and paper towel dispensers were not working so a large roll of paper towels was on the vanity. The food was good. The waitress could have been more attentive to guests arriving, instead of standing over a table talking with patrons. When I mentioned my experience in the ladies' room, she informed me it was above her pay grade! If all employees don't give a damn about the place they work in, then they shouldn't work there. And the condition of your store reflects what your employees think about their jobs. read more

If you get lucky enough to be waited on by Abby you have hit the jackpot. She is hands down one of the best servers. Moving onto food... yes it is a chain restaurant but let me tell you the Pot Roast melt is AMAZING! Grilled cheese kicked up to adult mode with amazing flavors dipped in auju. One of my favorite guilty pleasures is getting a banana nut muffin grilled and then buttered for an out of this world experience. He made my wife, Ruthie and I (Richard Carter) feel comfortable and waited on us in a timely manner. He checked with us periodically about how we were enjoying our selection of dinner, and if we needed anything. The restaurant was kept very clean, and we enjoy going to this particular location. This was our first time having Jeremy W. as our server, and he was excellent! We also ask for Hope as our server, however she started her shift later in the day. So i ordered from this perkins 2 times today. Once for breakfast and once at about 11 pm and first this morning they forgot my hot chocolate and chocolate pancakes so we had to drive all the way over there. Now for tonight i had gotten a slice of new york style cheesecake, a slice of caramel apple pie, and a coconut slice of pie. this time they sent me two slices of coconut which was not what i ordered now here i am, a girl on her period bawling my eyes out over a piece of pie because perkins is incompetent. read more

This was my first time coming to a Perkins and I loved it. I came here today (on a holiday) and it was pretty busy. We did not wait any longer than 15 minutes, so it wasn't a long wait. They try and sit you down, and serve you fast but they certainly do not rush you out of there. Everyone from the hostess, to the waitress, to the cashier were extremely friendly. They have several specials that you can take advantage of including the 55+ menu, and the free slice of pie with purchase of an entree on Mondays. I got a salad which was delicious. Not too many vegetarian options but you can make it work by adjusting any menu item to your liking. We came on a Monday, so we got free pies with our meals which was nice. All their bakery items are fresh and amazing. So for three entrees, and three beverages (with three free pies) everything came to less than $40. Perkins is a great place to take the family, and they serve breakfast all day which is good if you wake up late. You can also get take-out too. read more
