So since I wrote my last review, this Waffle House has gone from 2 stars to 5 stars. I've been eating at Waffle House pretty much my entire life (as best as I can remember) and this is now one of the best ones I've been to. They really did a great job after covid with getting a great staff and changing all the bad things. The employees are all super friendly. Love the waitresses and the cooks here. I always get a smile and a good talk from the waitress and the cooks here always make my eggs perfectly now. I have zero complaints! Restaurant is clean! Keep in mind, it is Waffle House so on Friday and Saturday nights they are slammed and you may have to wait for a seat. read more

Every loves waffles! When my husband's brother and uncle comes into town it's a must before they head home. The staff are always kind and friendly. The location is normally clean when we're there. I always gotta stop by Waffle House when I'm on the road or in ga they just hit every time... I ended up at this one because I needed some gas and it was right across the street. I came in and was greeted right away. They make you sit down at the bar top to place a Togo order which I found strange because what if someone wants to actually sit there and I'm just taking up space. I ordered a waffle and cheese eggs.. maybe I was just hungry but it was so good. Like just as I remembered it to be. Wow! We've been eating at Waffle House for over 40 years--including this location since the week it opened--and this morning's visit was hands-down the best experience we've ever had at Waffle House. The service was exceptional, and the food came out fast, fresh, and piping hot. Every seat was filled, the waiting area was packed, and people were even waiting outside. That alone says a lot! I came with my grandson because it was his choice. I too have been craving a waffle and scattered, smothered and covered! I ordered the big breakfast so I could have the eggs and switched the grits for hash browns. The ambiance was the normal waffle house flare. Low key, with a combination of counter space and tables on the perimeter. We sat at the tables because there were none adjacent to the serving area. The service was quick as usual and we had a wonderful sweet server. All good there. My hash browns with onions and cheese was delicious. The issue I had with the visit was the quality of the other food, particularly the waffle, normally plump and crispy, was flat and soft. Also, the bacon was only cooked on one side, but over cooked on the other. I really wanted to shout from the rooftops about the experience. I was disappointed with the aforementioned parts of the meal, so I am unable to give more than 3 stars which is mainly the service and nostalgia. I'll definitely be back at a Waffle House though not sure this one, unfortunately since it is closest to my house. read more

Can't deny the southern charm this location provides in deltona. Its Waffle House so you know your going to get some decent breakfast at a good value. I wouldn't recommend the sausage but everything else did the job. Eggs over easy biscuit hashbrowns and waffle. The place was packed but the service was efficient and our waitress was awesome even with busy location. read more

We just had a magnificent meal at Waffles. It's very cozy and has a great menu . Great service and food was outstanding. I had the French toast delight, with cream cheese, strawberries & whip cream, YUMMY! Husband had the Hungry Jack, comes with a waffle (not shown), 4 pieces of bacon, potatoes, eggs & a biscuit. Everyone here was wonderful from cook to waitress. I hadn't been to a Waffle House since college so I guess I had very wild expectations of what to expect and what to pay. Over $20 for a simple breakfast for my 6 year-old and me was a bit too much for what you get here. It was find, but I'll likely skip this chain for another 25 years. This waffle house is just about as good as any. The service is quick, friendly, and to the point. The food is exactly as expected, if you are familiar with the chain restaurant. The establishment itself is cleaner than any other waffle house I've been to, although my date said he had been to cleaner ones, however, they were new, freshly constructed establishments. He had been to this one several times before, due to its convenient location between the racetrack in Daytona and the Clermont/Maitland area. The parking lot is well lit and Waffle House has security cameras on the building and in the lot itself. We choose to eat here on the way back from a New Years party in St. Augustine. The night was busy, but servers were still polite and attentive. I only knock a star because the HVAC in the building, or at least the seating area is (for lack of a better term) WACK. When you walk in, it's a normal temperature compared to the 70°F evening outside. As you walk through the restaurant, it's a bit warm, but closer to the cooking area it is hot. Naturally this is due to the griddles, cooktops, waffle irons, and such, but the staff must crank the temperature to 60°F because the one side furthest from the entrance (and away from the bathrooms) is freezing, which also effects the temperature at which your food comes out. read more

Thanks to the manager Amber for handling the dog in the restaurant. Customer came in with a small dog in her hands to eat in. Amber told the couple and staff several times the dog could not be in the restaurant. After ordering the woman walked out. I am allergic to pet dandruff and my eyes were beginning to water as the animal was directly behind me sneezing. I was actually getting ready to leave and eat somewhere else. This Waffle House looked different than most waffle houses I've been to. Usually they look like a reg Waffle House off a highway. This one looked like a legit restaurant. The inside was clean and the staff was very nice and inviting. I'm not 100% but I believe our servers name was Pamela and she was AMAZING. She recalled tended to our needs and made sure we were good often. She brought out my husbands bacon and it looked under cooked to her and asked him if she can go make it more crisp. Come for the waffles, stay for the drama. Listening to the manager complaining about how many dishes the previous shift had left behind is always fun! I was only one of two customers in this casa de waffles and so my service was good and my waitress kept my coffee cup refilled while I read the news on my phone. I chose the All Star Breakfast, two eggs over medium, hash browns (covered), city ham and wheat toast. I had them add pecans to my waffle. It was cooked quickly and accurately (though my hash browns order wasn't shouted) and brought to my table promptly, still quite hot. That's a lot of food and I ended up leaving half the ham, two corners of toast and half the waffle. It was good for what it is. I wouldn't recommend eating this every day, but a bit here and there ain't so bad. I did notice that the table salsa lid needs a deep cleaning. The inside of it was BLACK. Ick! While housesitting in the Deltona/Debary area this weekend I realized I had an irrational breakfast food craving. Fortunately, I was close to The Waffle House. I have not visited this place in years, but I recalled that they have a juke box with their own bizarre Waffle House themed songs. That just made the trip more necessary. Who writes these songs about waffles? I don't frequently review chain restaurants, but I had a stellar chocolate chip waffle that took up an entire dinner plate. The waffle was golden and crispy on the outside and had a soft, pillowy texture on the inside. What I'm trying to say is that the waffle was pretty much flawless. The grits were pretty good too. I'm convinced that if Northers had the grits prepared The Waffle House way they would understand why us 'Southern folks' are so crazy for grits. The rest of the food was pretty good, but loved that waffle. The service was good, fast and friendly. The kitchen is open for diners to see from the barstool seating area. Some of the cooks and servers were singing along to the songs that were playing. This is a fun place to hang out and eat a great waffle. read more

I am sorry i have to write a negative review on this Waffle House. Today Wed. 3/8/23 at 9am I came in and sat at the counter. I ordered biscuts & gravy with hasbrowns and a glass of water no ice. I received the water ice which the wattress corrected. At 9:25 am I got up and walked out. I am sorry but the wattress could have cared less if I was there and never ever spoke to me while I was sitting there for 25 minutes. We were hungry right in the morning, so we decided to go to Waffle House, We walked in and were greeted with a real sense of kindness and sincerity. Our Sever Vanessa was very kind, and helped us through our first time in a Waffle House, she took our orders and even gave us the amazing southern experience of being called "Hun" by a waitress:) Although they were cleaning and getting things ready all around us it was alright, it's nice to have some real people rather than people at the nearby Disney world, which are prim, proper, and Fancy. I love Waffle House! The waffles are very delicious, especially the chocolate chip or blueberry waffles. Top off your waffle meal with eggs, hash browns, and bacon or sausage for a very yummy experience. If you really like cheese, try the Cheese 'N Eggs. This is not gourmet food, but it's awesome comfort food. Honestly, their waffles are the best! Their coffee is also very good. We've been to this location many times over several years, and most of the time we've had a great experience. The service is always friendly and helpful. Not sure maybe it's the weather. Service is kinda not happening today. Sat down at a dirty table cause everything else was full. Server water to take out order but seamed annoyed that she had to clear and wipe the table top down. I know I'm at Waffle House but please. Clean your table tops, wipe them clean and then ask your customers if they are ready to order. If it were the weekend and they were lined up out the door would be diffenert. Today is an avg day so clean table tops and good service should not be an issue. I know on the weekends they crank out the food, smile and have great servie. Today is ok but not what I thought it's would be... OK so food was wonderful as all ways. Asked twice for grap jelly and never got. I have been coming here every time I fail at bringing home a chick from the club and Debra and jamie make me feel like a king when I arrive. First of all they cook very well. Better than other waffle houses, I mean way better. Debras cheese grits are amazing! I walk in and Debra gets Andy and I the usual. Two chicken biscuits And cheese grits for me and ham cheese egg omlet and hash browns all the way for Andy. They laugh and talk and make us soo happy. Well I used to work at waffle house years ago. And this waffle house was horrible. As soon as I walked in the waitress Amber looked at me in discust and said what do you want?? I said takeout. She huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes and slammed down the ticket book in front of me for my order. I would of just walked out but I was starving. So I kept trying to give her my order and she kept interrupting me. So she out in my order wrong, after they started cooking my order, I asked the cook to correct my order cause Amber placed it wrong and then the cook got all pissed off. There was only one other table inside and one gentleman at the counter. Horrible service. I will not go back to this waffle house again.
