Breakfasts have always been 5 stars but ... Fish and Chips ... Nothing like the meal pictured ... no better than Mrs Paul's thin frozen fish triangles and dry, air fried frozen fries. I couldn't finish the last piece of fish. The coat of breading was very dry and its taste will remain with you for the next few hours of belches. At least the salad was good! read more

Pretty standard restaurant with the expected fare. The staff was above and beyond, but the older building (especially the bathrooms) dragged the score back down a bit. Highlights: free cookies with kids meals. Fried chicken was pretty good. I had a bite of the kids Mac and cheese and it was pretty good too, with real cheese. Room for improvement: kids menu didn't have much in the way of veggie options or sides. I would expect a few fries with a fried chicken order. But, the price was great, so next time would order a side for the table. The skillets... While healthier than much of the menu left a lot to be desired. They weren't skillet cooked for one thing. It's a light dinner, with rice pilaf a protein, fried onions and broccoli. Not bad, but also not great. If you want an Asian inspired healthy meal, Perkins probably shouldn't be your first choice, BUT, it's huge they have a healthyish option at all. I would come back to this location. read more

My wife and I waited 45 minutes for our meal the waitress who was supper nice apologized and said I am so sorry that they burnt my waffles not once but twice and plus when my waffles came out one of the waffles was under cooked but I didn't want it to have them take it back because I didn't want to wait any longer. But when we got the bill for my belgian Waffles My jaw dropped how much I paid for 2 of them over 20 some dollars for 2 of them that is ridiculous. That's 11.99 a piece. My wife got the chicken fried Steak platter we got nothing else but our bill came out to 42.00 we could not believe this. Perkins is usually not my go to for a meal in Selinsgrove, but with most dining rooms still closed due to COVID, it was the best option at the moment. We were quickly seated and received our menus. This Perkins has a Coca-Cola Freestyle, so you have the option of many flavors. Menu has your average Perkins items. Our order arrived fast, and what surprised me was everything I ordered was perfectly cooked. The Chicken Strips, Fries, and Broccoli were excellent. Terrible day here. I came here to treat myself to a birthday breakfast. Something was HORRIBLY WRONG with the coffee. Maybe it was the cup or the whip cream or one of the creamers-but it tasted GOD AWFUL. I got a fresh cup and fresh coffee and threw out the whip cream. It tasted kind of like disinfectant or cleaner. DISGUSTING. At least the new coffee was decent though nothing to write home about. I ordered a breakfast skillet---and they brought me the wrong one. Had to wait to get the right order. We have eaten here several times over the past three years. Most recently, we came here for lunch. I had the senior turkey dressing dish and ice tea. My wife has a Lunch special, which was a cup of chicken noodle soup and a 1/2 pot roast sandwich. We both had ice tea as a beverage. The total cost of lunch was $41 which is reasonable. I enjoyed the turkey lunch special. The Cranberry sauce and dressing were delicious. I also had green beans which tasted fresh. My wife enjoyed her lunch. The customer service was good. For dessert we both had chocolate chip muffin, which we enjoyed. This is a recommend a place for lunch when you're traveling in Pennsylvania. read more

This place is like every other Perkins when it comes to the decor and food. It's clean inside and the food is good. It's getting much more expensive as every place is. You can get 6 mozzarella sticks for $10 which I think is a bit high. Maybe if they added a few more mozzarella sticks to it. But otherwise it's the same old Perkins. They offer a full bakery as well and the cinnamon rolls, brownies and pies look fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable. This is a standard diner. The wait to get in this place took forever. Not because there was that many people here but because the kitchen was taking their time getting the food out. There was plenty of seating but they weren't letting anyone sit. This wasn't marked off seating either, this was the seating that they had open. The food was okay. Mine came out with a different cheese then what was stated in the menu. I didn't realize what it was until after I had eaten over half and the only reason I know it was wrong is because it started getting spicy and it wasn't supposed to. My food was also dry. My service was friendly and prompt...The breakfast food I ordered was tasty, it met my expectations. I ordered the standard fare of eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast. While the staff here was very welcoming, there appeared to be some miscommunications about which waiter had which table. But I witnessed the manager apologize profusely and fix the situation. This is normally a go to place for good food and decent prices. Thursday night, April 5th I was there and ordered an omelette. I was given a choice of pancakes or muffin and chose muffin. When my omelette was served I was greatly disappointed. A tiny omelette was served on a huge plate...nothing else on the plate. The omelette was maybe 4 inches long...5 at most. Possibly 2 inches wide. I had to pay extra to add a third ingredient to the build your own omelette menu offering. So for nearly $10 I got almost 8 bites of egg, bacon, cheese and mushroom plus a muffin. If it truly was a build my own omelette I would have built a far better one than they did. I went to Perkins on 8/17/15 on my way with my husband to the Finger Lakes area of NY. The food at Perkins is somewhere between an Applebee's and a family diner to me. I love and miss the 24 hour diner culture living in the metro DC area. In other words, when I get a chance to go to a Perkins I take it. Our lunch at Perkins was good. I had an omelet with a side of pancakes. The reason my last visit to Perkins is receiving such a low rating from me is the service. It took an unusual amount of time for someone to address our table when we arrive (the restaurant was not super busy) and after we placed our orders our waitress (although I understand trying to be friendly) took way longer than she should have speaking to seniors she seemed to know (instead of getting our food). I would say from the time we placed our orders for breakfast food was 25 mins. In a nutshell I hope our experience was a "one off" because I really enjoy Perkins for comfort food. read more

Stopped for dinner with my mom on our way to the finger lakes, she had the Mediterranean omelet with fruit and I had the build a breakfast with eggs fried over medium, bacon and toast. Both were good, nothing extraordinary but no complaints either. Even the fruit and coffee were fresh and tasty. We got seated immediately and our server was fast and friendly. Craving a salad and on a road trip I thought the Perkins that showed up might be a good choice. Turns out it was very good. The turkey BLT was one a a few choices available and was very tasty. Liked that they used chopped tomatoes rather than grape tomatoes which are hard and too sweet these were just simple tomatoes w a bit of tang and texture. No this was not your organic farm to table salad but for very reasonable price it def was just what I craved. Also the staff were all very friendly not least Hannah our waitress who was finishing up studies at a nearby college and managed a interesting conversation while also tending to her customers. A pleasant surprise as many people disparage chain restaurants but some like this one are really quite good. Unless it's farm to table or organic most restaurants corporate or otherwise use the same sources for their ingredients so I try to keep an open mind. Sometimes it pays off read more
