I was craving dessert after a disappointing dinner. Perkins was next door to my hotel so I walked in. First impression - it smells awful - musty, old, unkept. Ordered caramel pecan apple pie. Server gave me my pie slices in a container inside a plastic bag. Get to my hotel room and realize I wasn't provided any utensils to eat it with. Tried pinching pieces of it to eat, wasn't one bit impressed. I could buy better at a grocery store for much less $$&. read more

We don't normally like to eat at diner type restaurants because the food and service can be so inconsistent, but at this particular Perkins we were pleasantly surprised. We had been traveling all day and didn't want to go too far for dinner. Service was great and timely, food was cooked perfectly (doneness on the burgers to exactly what we asked for) and it was properly priced. The feel of the restaurant is pretty standard for most diners: soft music, not too loud, and decor is mellow. Another Yelper suggested asking for Lori, but she was off tonight when we came in. Our waiter was Shawn and he was so great and looked like the only one who was handling all the tables and he did great! (There were four other tables with at least four people at each). We could only give this place 4 stars because the lettuce on our burgers seemed to be browned a little (possibly from the heat of the grill) and the top of our table looked dirty but it was just because it was stained. Some of the other tabletops were darker in color so any stains aren't as noticeable. Keep up the great work Perkins! read more

Food is as good as to be expected. It's a family style chain type of place. Nothing here is going to taste like fine dining but it gets the job done. But the best part was the staff. Both occasions I went this week while working near here the service has been great. I wish more people like Sean worked at places and the other young lady was so kind and helpful as well. Came on a busy Sunday morning for breakfast. There was a wait but it was organized with a list. When seated service was attentive. The food was fine and nothing spectacular but it was prepared as you'd expect an omelet and pancakes should be. Prices are reasonable and there are options for vegetarians. You pay at the counter and there is a baked goods display case next to the cashier. Reminds me of a denny's. Would necessarily pick for a date spot but it's a good place for a solo meal or with family and friends. read more

went there this morning for Breakfast and got the Boston creme chcocolate pancakes with a Peach minute maid lemonade and it was super gourmand. Pancakes were fresh hot and delicious and our waiter which fun fact is a regular costumer at my BF store as he's assistant manager at a Circle K in the surrounding area was really sweet and I did enjoyed a lot his vibe and his energy . definitely would return there for futurs meal if back in the area . read more

Perkins is a casual restaurant chain that serves American comfort food, including breakfast throughout the day. I came here in the middle of the night because it was one of the only dining options that was still open at that time. I ordered a fried trio dish and quesadillas. Both were made fairly well considering that this is a franchise. My fried items were really crispy and satisfied my craving of sinfully greasy food. The quesadillas were way too spicy for me but my SO seemed to enjoy them. We took advantage of the half off apps deal and were able to eat for very cheap. My major complaint is the service and the wait time. We were seated immediately but our food felt like it took ages to come out. Our server was also slow in taking our orders and bringing items we asked for to our table. The restaurant was not busy so maybe this issue can be attributed to understaffing. However, our server seemed to be really absentminded and she had to come back to our table because she forgot our order. We also had to ask her multiple times for items and ended up just borrowing ketchup from another table because the wait for her to come back was too long. read more

This was a surprisingly pleasant experience. I have been here before but never reviewed the place because I didn't think it was anything special. My last visit changed my mind. There were new menu items, a new server, Aaron who was so upbeat, polite and attentive, I can't wait to see him again. He really made my day. I would have given 5 stars but my strawberry croissant French toast was gummy and bland and topped with way too many strawberries, I m guessing to add some flavor. oh yeah they had turkey sausages which is great for me! Since I stayed at the Hampton Inn, I decided to grab a quick lunch next door at Perkins. Boy, was this a mistake. Let me explain: 1. This place does not offer vegetarian-friendly lunch options. I ended up getting the tomato basil soup and the wedge salad without the bacon. Both were subpar. 2. The service staff showed little effort. After my waitress carelessly placed the water on my table, she just threw my straw in front of me and hurriedly proceeded to serve the neighboring table. Wow. What's more is that my wedge salad was hastily assembled--the iceberg lettuce was stacked in chunks and the bleu cheese was piled on one side. 3. The booth I sat at was not well-cleaned, and the table was sticky. How the heck this happened is beyond me. The only thing holding me back from giving them 1 star is that their pastries at the front counter look well made. Sorry, Perkins. You're never seeing me again. read more

This place has pretty good food, especially for late at night. They have a $5.99 AYCE pancake option, and half off all appetizers at night. Prices are pretty competitive. I had a giant Raspberry Cream muffin in the morning with a piping hot cup of coffee. What a great start to a good morning. They serve "mammoth muffins" for around $2.30. They had the typical kinds like Banana Nut, but also Cranberry Nut and Carrot, which I really wanted to try but I couldn't imagine that cream cheese frosting sitting too well at 8am. Another time. Their muffins are big... I guess "mammoth" sized, but instead of an insanely gigantic muffin all I can picture is an adorable woolly mammoth. Anyways, I thought the muffin was cream-filled, but it came with a mini scoop of butter on the side. Not the same, and I didn't slab it on. It tasted great the way it was. With a cup of coffee my breakfast was within $5. By the way their pies and cookies are amazing, especially their FRENCH SILK pie. Watch closely when you Pay. They swipe our card (they don't have the chip equipment yet) 3 times. I check my Bank and sure enough, I was double billed. It is a real hassle to get the money put back into my account. And I have to show them my Bank statement, which is on my phone. I don't like it. But to get $30.00 to $45.00 back I have no other choice. Oh and one more thing, Snarky with a capital S. Never hardly a Manager on duty.
