Delectable is the word I'd use to describe the food at Perla's! I love Italian food and the entrees here didn't disappoint! I had the spaghetti carbonara which was creamy and tasty! Mmmm, I'd order it again and again!! The pancetta was delicious! My friends ordered angel hair with meat balls and sausage with marinara sauce & a bolognese pasta. But let's talk about the rolls! They are complementary and oh my, so soft on the inside and crisp on the outside! Heavenly! Served with seasoned olive oil and butter!! I love the booths and the welcoming "pearl" at the hostess table... a nice touch. Our server was somewhat new, I think his name was David, and he was a bit slow and lackadaisical. He was still pleasant and we tipped him well, but if I went back I would t want to sit in his section. No offense... but towards the end of the meal, we let him know we were in a hurry for an important engagement, and the check was slow coming. He did pack up our leftovers very well! First time visiiting this location since it opened. Had opportunity to meet the owner which made our dinner even more enjoyable. Tony (the owner) comes from Sicily where many wonderful Italian dishes originate. Although we didn't have anything real exotic, the dishes my wife and I ordered were quite tasty and very generous as to portion. The meals came out hot and timely, which can help make or break a restauran's success! Price wise none of the items we noted on the menu were over priced based upon our ongoing dining experience in other good Italian restaurants in the area. Our server was quite pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed to complete our dining experience. Although this is a "neighborhood" restaurant, I feel that with a little more marketing & publicity this location should do quite well. We'll definitely be going back. read more

Formerly Little Angela's Ristorante, Perla Italian Restaurant offers a casual relaxed dining atmosphere serving Italian American food and pizzas. The layout has a full service bar with seating in the front adjacent to table seating and booths along the left wall and partial open kitchen to the right back. The tables are covered in blsck linen covers. The food menu offers a selection of pasta dishes, Italian entrees, pizzas (10"-14"-18"), calzones, strombolis, appetizers, salads, and paninis/subs/burgers (lunch) and kids menu. The prices are moderate. After shopping at Publix next door, I stopped by hungry for lunch. I was seated at a booth and I requested an ice water. I was given a basket of hot soft bread with oil, spices & cheese for dipping. For lunch, the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese ($16 plus tax) served had soft ribbons of fresh egg pasta tossed with our traditional meat sauce (beef & pork) with tomatoes, vegetables, and wine, finished with a touch of cream and parmesan cheese. This dish was hearty as advertised, but not too rich, tomato, meat and cheese flavors. After I was done, I passed on the dessert offer and got the check which was $17.60 with tax and before tip. Overall, the pasta dish was great, especially with fresh pasta which makes a huge game changing difference. I cannot pass up fresh pasta when it is offered. The service was prompt too. read more

I have been in this restaurant many times as it is close to my home when it was ANGELAS my first time under new ownership. I ordered just the classic spaghetti with meat sauce. It was just like it came out of a can!!! horrible. so surprised, I called and asked what canned meat sauce they use. Visiting from out of town, we sought a quiet place for lunch. Perla Italian Restaurant was recommended by a local. It is tucked away in a strip mall next to the neighborhood grocery store. We were here on a Friday. They were not busy. The service was friendly and considerate. We ordered from the lunch specials menu and the regular lunch menu. It took about 20 minutes for our food to arrive--which might explain why they were not busy for lunch. If you want your meal quicker you have other options nearby. The restaurant was quiet. We were able to have a low volume discussion at our own pace. The food was excellent. Everything was freshly prepared. The Perla Burger with grilled onions and mushrooms was fantastic. The lunch specials and sandwich were excellent. Everyone enjoyed the house-made fries. We were satisfied with the food, service, and ambiance. We plan to return for dinner the next time we are in the area to try something from the dinner menu. read more

Service, quality, warmth of atmosphere and are amazing. Maddie that works the bar on Thursdays and Fridays is fabulous. Even though they're new they already have a regular client at the bar, and they all are just so friendly and kind just an overall wonderful experience and I will be going back on a regular basis. read more

First time eating at Perla. We've had take out pizza several times and have been very satisfied. Our eat in experience was fantastic . Food was outstanding and the service even better. We were able to go before it was crowded. Our waitress was great, she knew the menu really well and gave us some great recommendations. Wanted to try being we live close by. Meals and appetizers were not great and pretty flavorless. Texture of pasta was strange. Salads ok. My husband got a calzone and it was good with crispy crust and nicely filled with cheese and meats. I would put this as a pizza place and not an Italian entree place. read more

Had dinner with family n Friends Friday night -- Wait staff was personable and a nice change from Days gone by with Prior Ownership and staff. We were seated immediately due to arriving around 6 pm. Food was good but that is where the better part of this review ends. They were (as with prior Ownership) woefully understaffed and svc was really lacking and attention to our table n needs/ requests --even just for water refills. Meals all came out at very noticeable different times and even one was forgotten -seemingly? Which made it difficult to eat and chat due to waiting on food for all to start. Our Server did what she could to help keep up --but was under pressure seemingly to serve many tables and so I am sure we were not the only ones noticing this. I did not cut the server tip at all but not sure I want to return until I read or see changes to more staff is addressed. So would advise to ck reviews before you go as this is new Ownership grp and might take some time to work the kinks out and address the above . read more

I'm changing my previous review from five stars to two due to a recent bad experience. We previously frequented Little Angela's and then Perlas 2-3 times a week. We established relationships with the other bar patrons as well as the bartenders and hosts. When they hired a new bartender, we initially chalked our opinion up to not liking change, but soon realized we don't like pushiness nor being overcharged. My husband was charged for a rail vodka PLUS the cost of soda water. In addition, he asked for a Perla salad with romaine vs arugula and when it came out as arugula, he reminded the bartender he wanted romaine. The chef and bartender tried to tell us the arugula was romaine and when he refused it, they delivered a less than appetizing salad with unwashed romaine. In addition, I messaged the owners in response to their "give us another chance" post explaining our experience and our years of loyalty and while they initially apologized, they then tried to blame the past bartenders. The next day they posted a new post where they received 100% positive feedback, which is just a flat out lie. Bottom line, everything has gone downhill... food, atmosphere, and service. read more
