I have used Ace Perma Glaze many times and the results are AMAZING!!! My tenants moved out and I needed to get my kitchen sink (totally non-standard from the 1950s so perma glaze is absolutely the way to go) done super quickly as I have new tenants moving in. I was scheduled very quickly with extremely professional staff and Joe handled the work. He was excellent to work with. He was communicative and responsive. He was also super gracious about getting the job done timely when problems presented themselves. We had a cast iron tub refinished, better to refinish the existing than to buy a new plastic tub and dispose of something that is still functional and well made, if not an unflattering shade of brownish pinkish gross. They came and did it white, gave us a non-slip finish in the bottom and left. The negatives are: 1) there was a problem with the non-slip and we have had to have them return to refinish the non-slip as it was akin to having 40grit sandpaper on the bottom of your tub. Not pleasant for the soft of skin. 2) The smell is a nice epoxy based "wow my head is spinning!" smell that lingers like a dead mouse in your dryer vent. It takes quite awhile to clear. 3) no touching or doing anything with the tub for 3 days post spray so any issues that you might notice will require an additional 3 days after they come to cure which means if it is your only shower you will be smelling like that dead mouse come the time you can finally get back in. Positives: 1) no removing old tubs. Saving the environment, calls from Al Gore thanking you for saving the environment that he so dutifully and wonderfully invented. 2) My head is spinning! 3) If there is a problem they are a more than willing to come and repair as much as needed to make you and your tub shiny happy. 4) I have a second shower so I only smell like a live mouse most of the time. Will report back regarding second repair of the sandpaper grip. They will come grind it down and redo it again if needed after this repair. Whoa, my head is spinning! read more

Long story short it took 3 months and 3 return trips to "fix" the problems- bubbles in the paint and noticeable drip marks. Office manager made numerous promises to call to schedule repair and never did. The technician who was sent out to do 1st repair attempt made the issue worse, yet they sent him a second time. Poor guy that came the 3rd time had no idea what the last guy did and it took him two trips to correct the issue. It's still not completely corrected, but rather than deal with the condescending office staff, I'll just deal with it. I have a noticeable area that is way shinier than the rest where a repair attempt was made by the first technician, and another area with a distinctive white spatter pattern that doesn't blend in. Needless to say, I'll never use their services again, and recommend that you don't either. read more

I do not recomend this because of several problems. First and most important is the overspray everywhere. I have overspray on doors, phones, floors and walls. 6 months later the finish they put on is already coming off, this is far from a permanent coating. This should be a 2 person job yet only one person comes out and tries to rush through it. I know they have a warranty but I DO NOT want these people in my house so they can overspray even more. Using this process was a mistake and I should have replaced the countertop in the kitchen instead of this less expensive idea. Until they have a better way to prevent overspray (hanging some plastic sheets is NOT enough) I would recommend not using this service. read more

We originally planned to do two bathrooms and our kitchen but we will not after our experience. We also had 2 family members and a co-worker wanting this done in their homes. Not now, and here's the top ten reasons why not: 1. It took over a month to finish this small project! Unacceptable for what they said was a 2 day job! We accept 1 additional day, two max, because we chose to swap color placement although we did not change the original colors selected. 2. The contract was not an actual contract. It was an email that simply listed the name of each room, the name of selected glaze, the total cost of each, and then a grand total. There was no breakdown of tax, materials, labor, or prep, or clean-up. Very unprofessional. 3. Only one tech installer was ever sent who was so busy he bounced between other jobs for days leaving us without use of bathroom or bedroom. 4. The tape masking job was horrible. I still have overspray on my walls and outlets that will now require us to repaint our bathroom. 5. They did not provide any fan ventilator to intake the overspray. There were clouds of paint mist in the air every time it was sprayed. 6. We should have been advised in advance to cover our items and that the spray would permeate our home. I had to get sheets and towels to cover furniture, TV, rugs, lamps, etc., but a day late. 7. When removing our shower doors, tiles were broken. It took several days to get them to agree to repair them as they were responsible. 8. There was always so many problems with the glazes. One was a white film sprayed over the dark glaze which needed re-sprayed all due to a unit wasn't properly cleaned. One was it was sprayed splotchy and needed re-done. The big issue was that their manufacturer "ran out" of the required top-coat and it took WEEKS to resolve. (But they were right there, on a Sunday, before job was complete to get their money!) 9. Every phone call was met with "In 30 thirty years this never happened. You are just that unlucky job". What?! 10. I will say that the finished job looks good, but still don't know how it will hold up. We chose to get the textured glaze, not a good choice for a bathtub since it's now rough and needs a bathmat for comfort. This would have been good to know in advance when making the choice up front. All in all, we are not happy with this experience and will not recommend to anyone. read more

Will have to wait and see if they can fix the errors before I slam them. However the first tub that was refinished has a couple of holes in the finish at one end, the bathtub was not put back together and their are some discolorations on the opposite end of the tub. Since he took the tub apart....how come he did not put it back together? read more

This is a long story with a surprising and disappointing end. It started off with the technician being an hour late. No one called me to let me know, I had to call to find out what was going on. Once he arrived I left him to do the work as I had things to do. He told me when he would be finished. I came back and he had left. I called him, he had gone to get lunch. At this point I just needed to pay, and I didn't want to wait around for him. I was no longer living in the house, so I left and figured I could call the office to pay. My contractor let me know a few days later that the work had not been done properly. There were visible drips in the enamel, and it had not been cleaned. The company did mention that they would need to come out a second time, but when I called to tell them of the issue, they said this was normal. At that point, I decided I was not going to pay until the work had been properly completed. This is when the story gets a little weird. We had trouble with scheduling this additional appointment. The office person was rude and condescending every time I called. One time I arrived five minutes late and the technician had supposedly left. He never called to see if I was on my way. Another time we were supposed to meet and when I called I could not get in touch with him. Later I received a message that he was going out of town and would get back the next week. I missed an appointment once or twice on my end as well. So it was frustrating, for everyone. The owner of the company left me a voicemail, and we also spoke on the phone about rescheduling. Then one day, he shows up at my place of business. He cursed at me about giving him his money. He tried to take a picture of me. I was glad that there were people around because he was very threatening. He said something that let me know he had been by my old house. I just kept thinking that this man would have shown up at my house to threaten me and I would have been very vulnerable. So scary! The mistake they made was assuming that I was trying to avoid paying them - that was NEVER the case. I mean, it was less than $400. What kind of business, A. sends a representative (the owner, no less) to harass people for money?, and B. is so desperate for such a small amount of money that it is messing up their business? Last I checked, a legit business is not supposed to be run by thugs who threaten young women for chump change. If they did need to take recourse, there are legal and much more ethical means of obtaining payment. This company should not be in business. When my partner called to reschedule and told the woman what had happened, she defended his actions. The technician came out the next day and finished, though there is still some enamel on the tile of the wall and floor. I paid the bill, because, frankly, I was a little scared of this guy. So, in the end, his bullying tactics worked, but is that really the kind of business you want to support? read more
