She walks you through every step, makes sure she is giving you exactly the shape and color that you want. I recommend bringing some of your favorite lip colors, or one that you wear every day to help pick your shade. Also she numbs you MULTIPLE times, after each pass of color, so your discomfort is minimal. I am sooo obsessed with my results and happy I made the right choice with choosing to trust Elena with my lips.

Elena is as sweet and patient as she is beautiful. She is a perfectionist who will go out of her way for her clients. Today she told me that one time she spent three hours of an eyebrow appointment, outlining the eyebrows for the customer because the customer didn't know exactly what they wanted. So, she had to re-draw them many times before even beginning the ink. (I think I would've tattooed my middle finger on the woman's forhead after that) ...but joking aside...she was every bit as patient with me today, coloring eyebrows and lips. It took her almost 6 hours. She listens, and she has a very artistic eye. Today is my first day doing this but I can't wait to see results in a week after the color sinks in a little bit. Thanks Elena!

Definitely you must have the eyebrows make over. I have done the eyebrow lamination and tinting. It's my first time getting it done and so far I am l loving it! It look so natural but really made such difference with framing my face. I really love the experience, Elena studio at Salon Republic in Del Mar plaza was a perfect place so cute and plus was so relaxing and so clean. I highly recommend her, she is the sweetest and also was really knowledgeable with the procedure and explained everything about how it does and how she is doing it made me even feel confident and comfortable just letting her lead with how the aesthetic way would be perfect for me, she is totally so experienced and is a PRO at what she does, I definitely am coming back for more and making it a regular. read more

I had an amazing experience with Elena. As someone who is very careful about procedures and what I put in/on my face, I couldn't be happier! She made me feel very comfortable and made sure to explain the color selection, shaping, and recovery expectations thoroughly. My brows and lips are healing great. I followed the after care instructions to make sure I get the best results. The scabbing has been barely noticeable - my lips peeled in the first 3-4 days and my brows took a little longer but only lasted a few days as well. I saw Elena a few days ago for both ombré brows and lip blush. The whole process for both brows and lips took about 4 hours. I was so happy she could complete both in the same day due to my busy work/school schedule. She is very patient, and provides great input on color selection, etc. Of course I also appreciated her organization and cleanliness throughout the process. She informed me that there was no other appointments and I let her know that I would try my best to rearrange my schedule but I would be a little late. She assured me multiple times that "Yes, it is fine. Come into the salon anyway and the lash tech will be able to take you." My appointment was for 9:30am. Both the owner and the lash tech had all my contact information. The owner assured me that the lash tech would call or text me and reach out to me prior to my appointment with her availability so that we could arrange another time. The lash tech never called or texted. The salon had ample time to contact me to inform me that I would not be able be have my service done. Since the lash tech never followed up, I had to only have correspondence with the owner who was away on a trip to Vegas. I was on the phone with the owner as I was walking into the salon to confirm yet again that everything was good to go and that I would be able to have my lashes done. After hanging up with owner and upon entering the lash salon I was greeted very rudely by the lash tech who - instead of just politely asking to reschedule or letting me know the options she would be able to complete in the given time frame - immediately asks me "What's the reason you need your lash's done today?" "Is there a reason?" which was very off putting. I had prepaid already for my Full Volume Lash Set and since I'm visiting only for the weekend I had to order pick up & drop off to the salon. I told her I was visiting and wanted the volume set I had pre-purchased. She told me that she couldn't do anything about it. She kept repeating that she didn't have time and refused my service. The owner had given the lash tech all my contact info at 6am. If that was the case and she knew she couldn't fit me into her schedule she should of had the common courtesy of informing me herself before having me go out of my way to the salon after having to rearrange my schedule to accommodate her. The lash tech never offered to reschedule for another time for the weekend and never offered to refund my prepaid amount while I was in the salon. I had to call the owner yet again while she was away on her trip to have her do a refund, which was very unpleasant and unprofessional. Poor customer service.

I LOVE the eyebrow lamination/tint a LOT more than I thought I would!! While I was there, I bought some jewelry for a new piercing I have since they have cute titanium grade studs with flatbacks. She tried to tell me she would add a piece, which I declined so I just told her to cut what she could without leaving my nail too short. I will never return here. When my nail technician completed my manicure, she announced, "same!" as if she declared out-loud my powdered pearlescent nails are now magically transformed into the requested nude chrome color. I wish they would've told me upfront that this cannot be done. I would not request for anything out of the basic mani pedi here.

I've wanted to get my lips blushed for a while now and when I came across her Instagram page @permanentlux_sandiego and saw her work I booked an appointment immediately and was able to get in within a couple of days. I am OBSESSED! I got them done about a month ago and just got my touch up a couple of days ago and even after the initial appointment I got so many compliments on my lips. Some of my friends even asked me if I got filler because it made them look so much more full! The space was super cute and cozy. The whole process went really smooth. Elena even took the extra time during my first appointment to do a few more passes over my lips because they were not properly absorbing the color because I was using plumping lip gloss every day. Oops. (So if you're looking to get this procedure done and you love plumper like me, try to stop using it for a few weeks before.) They still came out amazing - but between then and my touch up which was a month later, I didn't use the plumping gloss and it took even better. Oh! I also decided to laminate my brows while I was there and I LOVE how that came out as well. Like 5 different people have told me in the last few days that I am "glowing." Her studio is located in Salon Republic with an adjacent parking structure (she gives you a voucher for free parking on your way out). Loved the studio's decor and soothing music played during the service. She helped me decide on a customized lip color based on my favorite lipstick I brought with me.
