A few years ago, I flew to NYC to have my eyebrows done because they sit on my face and I wanted…read morethe best of the best. It was a disaster. The healing experience was not pleasant. I had gigantic scabs and was left with two purple lines that faded to pink. After a year had passed, I went to see a microblader in Franklin who refused to cover up my brows. She said that they would first have to be lasered off, which comes with its own challenges. The plastic surgeon I saw said that there is no way to confirm the ingredients of the ink and warned that lasering my eyebrows might make them darker. He also mentioned a small risk of scarring. I decided that the risk wasn't worth it. I chose to live with pink brows ... until I found Olivia. Olivia Weir showcases her work on Instagram (oliviaweirsthings), and she is phenomenal. I've since talked to a surgeon and two facialists who have both confirmed that Olivia is one of two people in town they would recommend for microblading. She took one look at my jagged, pink brows and started working away like it was nothing. The process wasn't painful at all, which was so unlike my first experience in NYC. There is also no waiting around for numbing, she numbs as she goes. As far as healing, it was night and day from my first experience which was micropigmentation (using a tattoo gun) where microblading uses a blade. This alone made the process better (less scabbing), but Olivia also suggests a semi-wet healing process which is so much better than dry (what I did before). I was able to shower and wash my face and workout. It was heaven!!! In the end, I love my new brows so much. The first picture on the left is right after my first session, the second picture is healed, and the third is healed after my touch up. As I started with no eyebrows and we are covering up pink, I plan to go back for a third touch up as they are a little sparse in the middle, but I think most people will be able to get away with two sessions which is what is included in the initial fee. In general, the shape is great, the color is perfect, and there are hair strokes. They look so natural. I highly highly highly recommend Olivia. One final thought: When Olivia microblades, it is a very fast process. There isn't much of a consult which made me nervous. I stopped her after she had started and mentioned a couple of things that were important to me. She nodded her head and kept working. I thought for sure that she was ignoring me, but she totally took my input into consideration and did exactly what I had asked. Olivia has her own style and she sticks to that, but if there is something that is important to you, don't hesitate to mention it to her. It is your face after all!

Originally she told me I was a great candidate/had perfect eyelids for permanent eyeliner, but once I was committed to the service it was another story. She explained it's not an exact science, we would need to play the shape of the tattoo and the duration of the work by ear. She doesn't listen. It's frustrating. I know what I like. I'm a very grown adult. I asked for brown, Carol said we have to do black. She doesn't like how brown fades. I asked for a thick, rounded arched line, Carol told me my eyelids wouldn't hold it. I ended up with a thin black line in a shape that's almost square, not round/arched like I was hoping for. It changes a lot about your look to have eyeliner with sharp edges on your eyes. I am really sad. But at that point it's a tattoo on your face. What can you do! It will need to be fixed by a different person. The worst part is Carol kept my $200 deposit to put toward a "future appointment" and still charged me full price on the day of the service. That's a terrible scammy business practice. I don't want a future appointment. So I'm just out of luck. She stole $200. Shame on you Carol. Listen to your clients! You may not like brown, it's my face! You should know by looking if you can't perform the service as requested. You behaved very cavalierly with someone else's money and eyes.

I was new to the Nashville area (shocker, lol) and I didn't have someone to ask for a referral so I did what most of us do and started searching hashtags on IG and Blakely's page came up. Her transformations were absolutely gorgeous!! My end goal was to create an arch in my brow, something that I did not have. I had dreams of my brows coming over the top of my glasses, I just always thought that was so sophisticated looking, lol. I reached out to her in Nov 2020 and secured an appointment with her in Jan 2021. When I went in I was terrified. Absolutely terrified. I didn't want to look like a different person, or an angry bird, I did not want to look fake (like stick on brows) and I didn't want to scare my husband when I got home. From the moment I walked in she was so kind and reassuring. She mapped out my brows expertly and she did a great job of explaining everything and re-explaining what she was doing as she was doing it. We decided on microblading and shadowing. You can tell she loves what she does because I don't know how many times she explains what she does all day to her clients but you could tell she was happy to comfort me through it with patience and calmness. She explained when it might hurt and the whole process. She is also really humble and such a pleasure to spend time with so that made the experience enjoyable as well. No one wants a beauty treatment from someone who is snotty or thinks they are better than you, I have been there and it's not fun. She was absolutely worth the wait!! She completely transformed my brows from light straight lines to a nice subtle dark arch. (see photo) Completely waking up my face! I could not even believe it and I don't know why I waited so long. I am 8 months in now and still so happy! I am sort of a baby with pain and I did not find the service to be painful during or through the healing process. Here is my before and after please note they look a little dark because it was the day of the service, they have healed a little lighter which I love! (see second photo 8 months later). I feel it elevated my look and makes getting ready so much easier than ever before. I can't even imagine having to color in my brows in anymore, one less thing to do which adds a level of simplicity to my life. It's crazy because these beauty treatments can be viewed as "extra" or not necessary but it really did change my life for the better. There are ways you can age gracefully without looking like you get a lot of work done... this is that service for me! :) 100% worth every penny! So happy to have found this amazing artist and person!
