I accompanied my aunt to the visit for her elderly sick dog. The condition was ambiguous and tests were required for diagnosis. The vets were measured in the tests they ordered, knowing that my 89-year-old aunt was on a fixed income. They had a plan, x-ray 1st, which told us a bit more, then bloodwork. The shining star of this clinic is Eileen, 16 year veteran vet tech. before sending out the blood sample ($300) she did a quick blood sugar test and analyzed the blood viaually. She came to the waiting room to let us know that the dogs blood sugar was so high their machine could not register it. She indicated that we could take the dog home, but survival was unlikely, without serious medical intervention, in the hospital ($3,000). After that, we could address the kidney and liver issues. We did not ask for a urine analysis. She did it because her years of experience told her that it would be a wise move. At that point, we discussed the reality of euthanasia. Why does this matter? Because any other vet would have sent out the blood work, then we would have gone back the next day to discuss it. They did not charge us for the blood draw or urine analysis, which enabled my aunt to pay for private cremation. They stayed an hour past closing to complete the procedure. This clinic is NOT greedy. NEVER GO HERE. Absolute cash grab. They do not care about your pet!!!!!! They gave us * False hope * Thousands in charges (2k) * A dying dog left suffering * A rushed search for another hospital * And still lost a beloved family member We came in about two weeks ago because our dog appeared to have food poisoning. The staff recommended a long list of treatments, and because this dog was family to us, we agreed to everything they suggested if it meant he had a chance to recover. Before approving nearly $2,000 worth of treatment, I repeatedly asked the veterinarian (a Hispanic male vet) what the chances were that our dog would survive with these treatments. Instead of being honest or transparent, he avoided the question every single time and refused to give any realistic expectations. They told us to come back at closing because our dog "needed extra treatment hours." We came back at 5 PM exactly as instructed. Then they pushed it again and told us to return at 7 PM because the "extra hours would really help." Naturally, we believed them. We thought our dog was improving. He wasn't. When we returned at 7 PM, the vet casually informed us that none of the treatments had worked and that we now needed to rush our dying dog to an emergency hospital to be euthanized because THEY were closing. So after wasting our entire day, draining us emotionally and financially, they suddenly decided there was nothing more they could do -- yet somehow couldn't tell us that earlier? They couldn't even provide humane end-of-life care for a suffering animal in their own clinic. To make matters worse, while my family was devastated and trying to process losing our dog, they still slipped random charges onto the bill, including a flea and tick collar that had absolutely nothing to do with the reason we came in. This place is disgusting. Completely unprofessional, dishonest, and emotionally manipulative. After my wife saw the vet , he sent in the girl that does his dirty work for him , she gave my wife a list of what the vet wanted us to pay for. The vet wanted us to deworm the puppy , which we did already , wanted us to give a puppy a vaccine which we did already and tried to stick my wife with a microchip when we never asked for any of that. As a business owner myself I can tell you Mr Flores is running a shady business as a veterinarian. If he wants to shake people down for money you should just up your prices vs adding things on the vet bill that are not needed. Telling my wife "if she doesn't want to pay for all the items I added on the bill , she can just go else where " is very unprofessional for being a veterinarian doctor. I came in to get my new kitten vaccinations, dewormed, a microchip, and to get him neutered. I also wanted him examined since he was a stray and he had a noticeable cut on his paw. Dr. Sharp was a pleasure to speak to. He is clearly passionate about animals and he answered all of my questions in great detail. Any doctor (veterinarian) who encourages his patients (owners) to talk and ask more questions is a winner in my book and that is the vibe embodied here. I appreciate that attitude in comparison to my experience with other animal hospitals (typically corporate owned) which has been that they try to rush you in and out of the examination room and are annoyed if you have extra questions or want clarification. The staff and Dr. Sharp made me feel like even this routine visit for my kitten was important and I will definitely continue to bring my kitten as well as my other cat here if they ever have any future health issues. I also want to stress that the pricing was extremely competitive and affordable. I was initially fine with my quote that was less than $550 considering all the services that were being completed, but they discounted the total cost to less than $500 and Dr. Sharp stitched up my kitten's cut on his paw for free. Obviously pricing varies between species and situations and I wouldn't use my review as the end all be all with pricing, but I include my quote as a reference point. I feel like that was a generous quote given all the services that were performed on my kitten. Lastly, I appreciated the transparency and clarity that Dr. Sharp provided about his business practices. Ownership changed at this office early this year (2024) and although my family has been here in the past for our dogs and have had positive experiences, I was impressed by my experience here today as I've gone to other veterinarians in the past and none have made me feel as informed or like my pets are genuinely cared for as this practice has. While I was present, a technician came out to the reception area and raised her voice at my son. I was right there when it happened. I explained that if that same technician ever shouted at my son again, I would respond in the same manner to defend him. After that, another technician told me that they would not attend to my dog anymore and refused to let me speak with the veterinarian. The day I adopted Ziana, my dorky, clumsy, lovable husky who was afraid of cats and loved chasing lizards in the backyard, felt like a miracle to me. So, when Ziana became seriously ill, I was worried sick and terrified. I was afraid of facing the worst possible outcome for any pet owner. For many of us, our pets are as beloved as our own family members, and when we have to take them to a veterinarian, we want professionals who truly care for them as much as we do. From the outset, the staff at the Perris Valley Veterinary Clinic checked all those boxes and more, especially Dr. Sharp. I have had family pets throughout my life and, as a result, I've met many veterinarians. Most were pleasant and seemingly knowledgeable, but the interaction was strictly transactional. This was not the case with Dr. Sharp. He was so sweet. I could tell he was honestly concerned for my dog and communicated clearly about her diagnosis, with a carefully balanced optimism about her recovery and what could be the worst outcome. Ziana was immediately treated with the utmost urgency she deserved. During her hospitalization, I was regularly updated on her condition and was completely at ease with her being in the care of their staff. I cannot stress this enough: Dr. Sharp and his team took every possible measure to save Ziana before having the conversation with me about letting her go, and ultimately, she was put to rest. Euthanizing an animal can never be a "good experience." We can only hope that when the time comes, it will be dignified and peaceful for our pet and for us, the owners who love and care for them. Dr. Sharp gave me room to bond one final time with my fur baby, and I never felt pressured to hurry through that process. He spoke to me gently about the medication used in the procedure and how it worked, and only proceeded when I was ready to begin the first step. Once Ziana had passed, I was given both time and privacy to say goodbye. When I was ready to leave, I had no doubt that her body would be handled with care and respect. Euthanizing my baby was unimaginably painful, but Dr. Sharp and his staff made it as bearable as possible during the most difficult and heart-wrenching experience a pet owner has to face. I took my 16yr old female cat in a little over 2 weeks ago to be seen because she would strain to urinate. A different doctor originally saw her. Dr. Pecic, I believe. He did a urinalysis. One of the young ladies assisting him showed me my cat's urine. It was red and I was very concerned. They said they usually only see that in male cats. I asked them if I should be worried? Should she have more tests done? The assistant said just wait for the urinalysis to come back and the vet will let me know what we are dealing with. They sent her home with amoxicillin. I received her urinalysis by email the following day and was told Dr. Flores would call me shortly to go over results. I was never called. I called back the next day to let them know I was not contacted and they assured me that I would be contacted that day. NOTHING. I called back again and told them I need to know the results because I am worried about my cat and don't know if this is urgent or not. Dr. Flores finally spoke to me and just said oh looks like a uti. Just give her amoxicillin and you have to change her food to a prescription one. I kept her on the amoxicillin for 2 weeks but it seemed like she was starting to strain again. I went to the office and told Dr. Flores that I'm concerned that the amoxicillin isn't helping her. He said it's not going to help if I don't switch her food to the prescription one he had on hand. I told him that I wasn't comfortable switching her food to that specific one because I've done research and heard it's not good. He told me he challenges my research with his research and if I don't put her on that food, she's not going to get better. I ended up taking my cat to an emergency vet because instead of helping, Dr. Flores was just trying to shove this prescription food in my face. Come to find out that my kitty has a tumor in her bladder. Cancer. Dr. Flores was not more concerned over her urinalysis. Didn't bother to run more tests or help my kitty after I told him I was concerned. No. He just told me she won't get better if she doesn't eat this food. I would've never found out she has cancer if I did not go elsewhere. Now I'm just keeping her comfortable until it is her time. I do not recommend Dr. Flores or Perris Valley Vet. He comes off very smug and has no empathy. read more

My poor dog is suffering and needs the antibiotics and they DO NOT CARE EILEEN in the front desk is no help and told us to go to another vet to get the same medication prescribed and pay the exam fee AGAIN. The medication was almost 100$ and they do not care that my dog is sick. I have called multiple times to try and resolve the issue and they don't care about my animal. read more

I then took another two of my Cats to the practice and saw a completely different doctor. Who was extremely rude and patronizing. At one point, he said to me I will talk. You will listen. When I expressed that he was making me feel uncomfortable and I was beginning to get upset and he could clearly see this he continued to talk down to me. I walked out of the practice and told the receptionist that I would not return with any of my animals again. I asked who the office manager is and they told me his name was Colin. I don't normally do reviews, but I felt I had to do one for the experience I had. The assistants were great, the Dr on the other hand was condescending. I took my cat in since she had been over grooming herself and shedding a lot. Eating habits, energy levels, everything the same since I had been observing her but I felt to get her checked anyways. Dr said it was flea bites rash and needed a cortisone shot and some cream treatment to administer at home for a week. Nurse came back with a quote of $350 with multiples of unneeded medication and blood tests. I chose only the antibiotics, the shot, and the cream which would be about $145. I could afford that. Nurse went to the Dr to get that done and the Dr comes back into the exam room to basically ask if I'm sure. I say that's all I can do for right now since it's out of my price range for the entirety of the $350. He claps back with, " Well there isn't any point of doing anything at all then." Agitated and shocked by his response, I said I would just take my baby home then. I'm going to take her elsewhere where they treat clients with respect and kindness. I had never taken any of my pets to the vet for anything other than routine shots, so I was nervous about the cost. But Dr. Sharp was incredible! My kitten was dealing with an upper respiratory infection, and he carefully explained everything that needed to be done to get her back to full health--or at least give it our best shot. I'm so grateful because I showed up at 4:30 PM, right before closing, and he stayed until almost 8PM to complete the necessary procedures with the help of his amazing team. Less than 24 hours after leaving his office, my kitten was back to her normal self, and her symptoms were almost completely gone! If you're on the fence about bringing your pet here, I can't recommend this place enough. The prices were very reasonable, and Dr. Sharp only suggested what was truly needed, no unnecessary upselling. I'll definitely be coming back until the day he retires! read more
