You could refurnish a whole house with contents of the store. (+ -) Prices for some products are competitive but others higher. I have had positive experiences with Sales people here who appear to work on commission, where they engage to help if needed but then back away to give space to the customer to comfortable shop. (-) But recently I have really wanted to purchase and appliance from them but the sales experience was so aggressive and negative we removed them as an option for the purchase.

In 2021, I remodeled my kitchen and bought my kitchen from their Maumee location. This time, they kept changing delivery dates and caused long delays in my project. I was mad but tried to be understanding given the pandemic. In 2025, the touch panel of the microwave oven they had sold me stopped working. I called them and explained the problem. They sent out a technician whose diagnosis after two minutes was (and I quote directly) "Touch panel failure". Duh! He then spent about 10 minutes on his computer and told us the part was not showing available and that we had to get a new unit. He did not take the microwave oven out of the cabinet, did not check whether the power was plugged in, did not open the back plate and look inside. He did nothing but try to use the touch panel. They he charged us $128.22 and left. Since I was busy at the time and had the old microwave that I could use temporarily, I postponed fixing the issue. Last week, I removed the microwave from the cabinet, opened the backplate and (after reviewing the user manual and watching a bunch of DYI videos on YouTube) figured that the internal fuse was blown. So I called GE parts hotline and ordered a new fused directly from the brand. After replacing the blown fuse, the touch panel lit up and the microwave oven started working. What bothered me was the fact that the technician had no interest in finding the cause of the touch panel failure and moved too quickly to advising us to order a new oven through them. Having fixed the problem myself, I called them up and asked to speak to the service department manager. I tried to explain everything chronologically but the manager was impatient, cut me off multiple times, and defended the technician's actions. He basically shut me down. I called a second time yesterday, hoping to talk to someone who cares about the Appliance Center's image, like the owners of the business. I was again routed to the service department manager, who repeated his earlier response. Not only the technician didn't do their job right for the price we were charged, but the manager was indifferent and uninterested in the experience that I, as a loyal customer, was trying to share with them. They lost me as a customer forever. I hope those reading my review will exercise caution when calling the Appliance Center for repair services.

I actually went into this location on three separate occasions throughout year because I was ambivalent on which mattress I wanted. Both were somewhat similar in comfort and price but when I asked questions I was kind of off put with the sales guys on the floor. One was an older guy who you could tell didn't want to be there and was noticeably annoyed when we asked questions. The other guy was younger, didn't bother to greet us and was more concerned with his smoke break than assisting us. I decided to give them on last chance and that's when I met Zach. When I visited the place was busy. On my other visits there were no other customer in the store. There was a family of five when I first entered the store and was immediately greeted by Zach, even though he was assisting someone else. I went to visit the two mattresses I had been contemplating for months and decided to lay on them to refresh my memory on their individual comfort levels. Zach immediately apologized for the wait and asked me what was important and what I expected out of a mattress. He then made recommendations and evaluated how each mattress supported my body to ensure I was getting the most comfort. Not only did he take his time with me, he answered my questions and didn't make me feel like a number. I thought I knew what I wanted before I initially went in and ultimately walked out with a completely different mattress and base. The best part? Not only was it a better mattress but also a better price! Thanks for taking you time to answer my questions and make sure I was getting the best mattress for my needs, Zach! I'm really glad I gave them one last chance before going elsewhere!

We bought a set of appliances from Durochers about 3 years ago. Last September, our refrigerator…read morestopped working. During the first service call, the repair people somehow cracked the inside of the fridge. I was told there is no way to fix the damage. The refrigerator needs a part from Samsung that has come in damaged now 4 different times. Durochers can order the part for next day delivery, so they could have tried far more than 4 times, btw. The last time, the part sat at Durochers for over 3 weeks before they even inspected it. ​ We have repeatedly asked for a manager to contact us, but been ignored every time. We have not had a working refrigerator in over 6 months now, but Durochers hasn't offered an apology or any sort of assistance.

I cannot begin to report that Durochers had the best salespeople and delivery workers I have ever seen in the appliance business. For starters, saleswoman Kathy C. went out of her way to help me with scheduling my most recent delivery. Even on her day off, she kindly helped me with some questions I asked her about. The delivery and installation men were Superlative. I had the best experience with Justin and Stephen. They were very prompt and gave me updates on when they would arrive, complete with texted maps of where they were in terms of getting to my house. Their installation was very well done, and I contribute that to the attention to detail they had in doing it. They was extremely courteous and respectful. I give Durochers great credit for having delivery and service people like these two young men. Outstanding! I have always been pleased with the appliances, service and delivery at Durochers. In addition when I needed a broken refrigerator shelf replaced the service department was excellent. I actually received the shelf a day after I ordered it. I was also given information on how to get reimbursed by the glass company as the shelf was still under warranty. ( I want to add that I had a $500 gift certificate from Lowes that I could have used, but preferred to deal with Durochers instead. By dealing with them I avoided the aggravation and hassles in dealing with a big box store that I felt could care less about its' customers).

Ok I tried really hard to like Ashley Furniture but there are two reasons I will not buy from them…read moreagain. Back in 2011 I purchased a Macie brown sofa with an over sized ottoman. After two years the Ottoman had an issue with the center button popping off. I had purchased the extra warranty for the furniture and when I called to have it fixed, the warranty company refused to help me and were very rude. I ended up calling Ashley Furniture and they were helpful and sent someone to my house to repair the Ottoman (hence the reason for two stars.) About a year after that, a friend sat on the sofa and you heard a wood Crack sound. From that point on, there was a big sag on the one side of the sofa. I flipped over the sofa and removed the black cover on the bottom. It was then I observed the shoddy workmanship with the sofa. I posted pictures here on yelp. One of the support beams on bottom of sofa was made up of two pieces of wood connected with a finger joint in the middle. This is where the beam failed and bent down. You can see this via the pictures. I looked at the beam on the right side of the sofa and it was a solid piece of wood. That side was still solid. Looking at the rest of the construction under the sofa you could see where several of the nails or staples holding the wood together was barely connected and some had even missed where they were supposed to be connected. This was not a cheap sofa or ottoman. I paid $600 for the sofa and $400 for the Ottoman. If I am going to receive this type of quality, I will go to one of the cheap furniture stores. I thought Ashley Furniture would be better but I was wrong. I will be forwarding these pictures and information to their corporate office.
