We came in for a late dinner/snack on Saturday, 2/7/26 around 10pm. A very friendly gentleman - we think might have been the owner - greeted us immediately and offered a table or seats at the bar, we chose the bar (as always). The bartender greeted us right away and got our drinks started. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name and I feel awful about it because she was awesome! She got our drinks and we asked for her recommendations. She said they are known for their pot roast, but all their food is good. We went with pot roast pirogies and a steak and cheese sandwich. Those pirogies were to die for! Listen, pasta stuffed with cheese and potatoes!? All day, every day. Then to add the best pot roast I've ever had, AND crispy fried onions, in au jus!? I'm so full and I'm still thinking about them! The steak and cheese I was a bit worried about because the roll wasn't toasted. I thought for sure it was going to be dry. NOPE! It was the perfect mix of soft but not soggy! They did a great job. Lots of cheese, the veggies were cooked just right and the meat was tender. We absolutely love going to Perry Town Taphouse. The staff is always very nice and the food is always delicious. They did a great renovating it. We really liked everything we have had so far. The pretzel bites were really soft and really good. I originally got the grilled chicken sandwich with tater tots every time because I loved it (and still do) but wanted to try something else. This last time my husband and I loved the open faced pot roast sandwich with double mashed potatoes it was so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery goodness. My husband really liked their breakfast too. The burgers look amazing so that's what I'm trying next. We had the beignets for dessert which were crunchy with vanilla ice cream. They're not traditional beignets and much smaller but still good. read more

Second time visiting and realized I hadn't left a review yet. We stopped in for a quick lunch on the weekend and realized they actually had brunch options too so I went for the PT Big Breakfast and my wife got a grilled chicken with the largest mound of tater tots we've ever seen. Eggs were cooked to order, nice and runny like I like them. The potatoes were well seasoned and the bacon was nice and crisp. My wife enjoyed her chicken and we took home enough tots to eat on them a few more meals Nothing wrong with that though! I previously had stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the Italian pork. Also good. The staff is great, super attentive and friendly. The place is nicely remodeled inside with plenty of seating and a large bar area as well. Glad to have a good local place to stop in nearby. My daughter and I went to the Perrytown Tap House in the mid afternoon for a late lunch. You MUST get the handcut french fries. We had the Firehouse burger and the BBQ burger. Both were absolutely perfect. The staff was courteous and the owner stopped by to thank us for our patronage. On the way out, I saw a plate of the Chicken Fingers and am already planning a return visit. This place has changed my mind about the lunch food scene in Pittsburgh. Popped in for a few drinks after Christmas shopping. Didn't eat, but saw the food, and it looked amazing. Laney, our bartender, was amazing. She made very good lemon drop shots by juicing the lemon rather than using sours, and also encased sugar on the rim s simple syrup.. a nice touch for a small tavern. Very clean. Kitchen was incredibly clean, including under the fridge, which is unusual and awesome to see. Found a new spot for flavorful, crispy, LARGE, meaty wings! We finally checked out the new The Offical Perrytown Tap House in the North Hills in Perrysville! We used to go there in our 20's and I was surprised how nice and open and airy it felt from the renovations the new owners made! Everyone that works there was very pleasant and our drinks were on point. The GM Steve was super friendly and came out and greeted everyone at the bar.. Love that P-Town is back open with a different flare! They are starting Sunday brunch this coming weekend and have specials every day now -Definitely on our list to go regularly read more

Such a wonderful and warm pub in Ross Township! My husband and I just moved to the area last month and we've already visited twice. Both meals were excellent and were accompanied by great service and cozy ambiance. I never visited the restaurant's previous iteration, so I can't speak to how it has changed, but I know that it is well worth a visit for a drink, a quick bite, a leisurely meal with loved ones, watching a game, and anything in-between. The draft selections and cocktails are all extremely good, and the food is SO tasty. Burgers are excellent, sandwiches too (the italian pork sandwich is UNREAL), and the apps are generous and flavorful. So lucky to have this spot so close to home! read more

A fantastic new addition to Perrysville! My husband and I just moved to Ross Twp, and have been delighted with trying all of the new-to-us food. We love the story of how this place came to be-- a restaurant and bar in memory of a late friend will always have some extra heart in it. And the food and drinks are top-notch! So far, I've tried the pot roast nachos, Mac n cheese, BBQ and pot roast burgers, tots, fries, and pretzel bites with beer cheese. Everything is a 10/10. My cucumber gin drink was also so refreshing. It's the perfect place to watch a Steelers game, gather with your friends, or to sit at the bar and meet a new one. The servers are kind and attentive, and you're never waiting too long for anything. Love this place. My only complaint-I want their lunch menu available with the regular! Some great sandos! Staff is always great. Beers are cold and well carbonated drafts. Several local crafts. I really enjoy my multiple visits to Perrytown tap House. The food is always very good and plentiful and very reasonably priced. The service is always attentive and professional and quick. I have enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu, which is so nice to do right after church. Watched football games there in the afternoon and evening nice big screen. They have a lot of drink specials throughout the week. Enjoy their house brew. I came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and my retirement from the army with my family. I was served the single worst piece of beef ive ever paid money for. Like it had been stuck behind the freezer for a few weeks. The line cook in the back must have decided it needed some extra sanitizing, because he made sure there wasn't a single speck of pink with in 3 square feet of the "medium rare steak." The manager came over several times, mostly out of his sheer rat like tendencies to gather near humans eating, to squeek out some excuses we didnt ask for and generally be annoying and provide an uncomfortable experience. Hes a toucher and a close stander...love that at the dinner table. Someone else at the table ordered some kind of mushroom burger that looks like a prop from fallout on Amazon prime. I never realized something so wet could maintain structural integrity. Overall I cannot recommend this place if you have taste buds. read more

I don't recommend the food, however. had the steak Philly hoagie a few weeks ago, it was both bland and yucky in a way I can't quite explain. had the "fried" chicken sandwich today. it was a preformed, frozen "fried" chicken patty of "breast meat"... even the bacon tasted like it was bought cooked and just nuked. maybe the entrees are better, but both sandwiches I had were basically McDonald's level+ quality in ingredients and taste. But, tonight's sandwich came with a huge # of tater tots, so after a few beers, I guess that's a plus. read more

The worst dinner I've had in years. I never send food back; I can't even remember an occasion in my adult life. The steak was ordered medium rare and came out way beyond well done and tougher than shoe leather. The risotto is not risotto it's rice in cheese sauce and the creamed spinach are a few leaves floating in a cup of cream. Although they were gracious enough to remove my meal from the check, I left hungry. I would have paid though, I'm not one to cause an issue. The service staff was very, very nice and I could not blame them in any way. It's a very friendly atmosphere but I'd stick to fried bar food, this definitely not a place to get a dinner. read more

The former Perry Tavern, Perrytowne Tavern, is reincarnated as the Perrytown Tap House. Although there was a wide assortment of beers, the wife and I were there for sandwiches (which we split) and coffee. Fish sandwich--very good. Not greasy. Quite large piece of cod or haddock probably, I can't tell difference on a soft grilled bun which fit the fish nicely. Also, a side of cole slaw comes with the fish though it's not mentioned on the menu. Good, neither too creamy nor dry. Cheesesteak sandwich---tasty, but very, very little cheese. (Thus 4 stars instead of 5.) Both tater tots and French fries hot, crisp, flavorful. Already salted so glad I didn't salt before tasting. Wife liked the tater tots better. I would make it a push, and they give you a ton of tots. Service was professional and personnel personable. Following an afternoon of shopping, we arrived about 4 pm. There was no crowd. Definitely a place to revisit---and have some adult beverages. read more
