Korma

So delicious. I got the veggie korma and chili naan. There were so many intriguing options. I didn't know what to get. I feel like the mushroom Marsala would've been great too. The prices were good. Most meals were under $20 and most drinks were under $10. This restaurant is close to most hotels in fort mill. It is one of the best Indian restaurants I've had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was plenty of seating and Indian music videos were playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was nice and very fast.

I was highly impressed with this Indian restaurant. First off, the food came out swiftly. They have different heat levels and the waiter warns you about each one. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place wasn't busy at all but had much staff working.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Many food options available as well.

My family recently visited my daughter's college in Rock Hill and decided to try Persis Indian Grill in Fort Mill, since we enjoy their location in Columbia, South Carolina. We were not disappointed. Persis Indian Grill, in Fort Mill South Carolina, is located in a small shopping center that offers an array of parking spots that include a variety of handicap spots that are located in front of the restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once opening the Persis's door, the aroma of Indian spices smothered me with excitement.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The restaurant offers lunch from Monday- Friday: 11 am - 2:30 pm and Saturday-Sunday 11:30am- 3pm. Dinner is from 5pm - 9:30pm Monday - Thursday, on Friday - Saturday 5pm -10pm, and on Sunday 5:30pm - 9pm on Sunday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would recommend going to lunch or dinner once the restaurant opens, because Persis tends to get busy, since there is not a ton of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though there is limited seating, they do offer tables for those with disabilities.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In addition to their wonderful authentic Indian food Persis also has a full function bar that offers an array of cocktails, beer, and other alcoholic beverages. My family ordered a side of Garlic Naan bread, Shaam Shavera Kofta, Kaju Malsa, and Korma; all of the entrees come with a side of rice. Although the prices are pricey, ranginging from $10 - $25, one will not be disappointed. The portion sizes are larger than the average restaurant and the flavor of the food is authentic. You can tell Persis puts love and care into every dish they serve. Two aspects I enjoy about Persis is that they offer an array of vegetarian options and one can choose their spice level of their entree ranging from baby - extremely hot. If going to Persis for the first time I would suggest ordering the baby spice level to see how your taste buds interact with the spices. However, if your dish is too spicy for you to eat, the staff does not have a problem bringing you a new dish because they truly care for their customers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In addition to their delicious food the restaurant was extremely clean without any visible dirt throughout the dinning hall and restroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are in the Fort Mill area and want to try authentic Indian food, I recommend trying Persis Indian Grill.

Kaju Curry

Updating my review since my post from 4 years ago. Ordered to-go for Cashew curry and Kadhai paneer along with butter rotis. Cashew curry was decent but kadhai paneer was very bad. It seemed there was more added color than taste. Food taste at this place as deteriorated over the years. Food price has gone up and quality has gone down here. Also butter was missing from butter rotis. Will have to reconsider if I would come back here or not. Overall 3/5 .

Persis is a pretty complete Indian restaurant. Large choice of Appetizers and Entrees and both vegetarian and meat dishes. Love the Samosa and the Fried Okra sticks were incredible. We had a big party . Lots of Butter Chicken. Tandoori Chicken. Tandoori Paneer, lots of Naans. Only thing the need to work on is service -- Not much clearing of the plates or refilling of water or drinks , but you cannot forget how good the food is !!!

Another great review for this place! We absolutely love eating at Persis We got some of our tried and tested dishes from the menu and savored every bite. Love it.

Writing my review as I munch on leftovers but oh my gosh. This place is so yummy. So glad there's a place where I can get my curry fix right in town. We had a party of 9 and a child. Some of our group hasn't had Indian food before but throughout enjoyed their meal. Everything we got was delicious. GARLIC NAAN BREAD. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. I got my usual Tikka Masala and it was yummy. My cousin got the Korna and we all agreed it was so good. I'll probably get that next time and recommend it to people.

Came here with my family on a Saturday night and we ordered a bunch of food. We ordered a plain…read morepaper dosa for my kids and requested it come quickly (because kids) and they obliged. My parents got a paper masala dosa and enjoyed it. I split a spring dosa, chole puri (they were out of bathura), and a Manchurian roll with my husband and brother. We could not eat the spring dosa because it was way too spicy for both me and my brother, but my husband could handle the heat. My kids were still hungry after the dosa and I got them an order of idli. The mango lassis are some of the best I've had recently! It's a very bare bones type of vibe, and that's ok as long as you're not expecting anything fancy. The people that work there are kind, but you can tell that they're feeling pressure while working. When in the area, we'd definitely come back here.

The Chole Bhature is my absolute favorite dish as chickpea is among my favorite legume. The Curry is done in a way that's hard to pass up. It is medium spiced you can request a toned down spice. Or grab a mango lassi if you feel like it's going to be too much! The lady was a fan of the Mysore Dosa, which a large rice paper(thin) pancake rolled with spices, some chutney(salsa/sauce/ in the middle and spiced potato on top. It comes with some Sambar(Indian veg soup) The next thing you need to try is the Dahi or Dehi Puri - their version is the best in town. You can taste-test any of the items before buying and trust me you will find something you'll end up loving !! They also have free water if you aren't interested in their drinks on menu. My dad likes the same but he prefers the coconut rice. I like how they allow you to sample the items on the line and even suggest combinations that you might enjoy. I also like how they have both non spicy and spicy items. The only thing that stands out as odd to me is my sister stopped by one day and picked up an order for me. She noticed a worker or someone associated with the restaurant come in and start eating off the hot food line. Not sure if they washed their hands or not but she was alarmed by this behavior. Let's begin with the service, which is friendly, helpful and attentive. The cuisine is excellent. They serve both Northern and Southern style and we've tried selections from both. Our go-to dishes are Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Tikka Masala. We also buy a bread basket with a nice mixture of Naan. Again, we've never had anything that wasn't excellent. They also have a varied dessert bar and the entire place is immaculate. It's definitely a Gotta Try!

Will say though, as other have noted, Mild spice was still just a little more than I'd want...wonder if there is a .5 mild option? Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken were also excellent! Best part? The menu is easy to navigate with plenty of description to help guide choices. They do have a daunting number of choices though! Took a while to filter through it. Only, very minor, complaint is about the website. Very odd order to everything. Just weird... Finally, a great option for Indian food in Mooresville!
