Everyone who works here is accommodating with a smile. They are more expensive than other MedSpas, but you get what you pay for - you can expect a five-star service and aestheticians that are experienced. PERFECT. My husband and I went here today for pedicures. Yes, my Y chromosome, male husband got a pedicure too. We had received gift certificates from a friend and finally got around to using them over a year later. I was incredibly pleased that Persona honors all gift certificates, even expired ones, as long as you have the gift certificate. We used one that had been expired since April. As a 36 year old woman, I've had many pedicures in my time, and this is my all time favorite. My review is only about the pedicures as that is the only service I have experienced at Persona, but I'll be back for more. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted. We were offered drinks (water, tea, pomegranate juice). We filled out our paperwork and before we were done our estheticians were there to greet us. Ok, my favorite part of the whole day.... the nail room is only two chairs, so my husband and I had a private treatment room to ourselves. I asked my wonderful nail tech, Tracy, about this and she said that there are only two chairs in the spa for nail services. Well, I'm sold. Whenever I plan to have my nails done with my husband or a friend, I'm heading to Persona! Our pedicures lasted one hour and included the usual pedicure treatments along with a skin exfoliation scrub and a paraffin wax treatment. We were also offered a warm neck wrap which my husband loved. The chairs are extremely comfortable and recline so that your feet are above your torso. So relaxing! They are absolutely the most comfortable pedicure chairs I've ever been in. I want one for my living room. It's also so nice that the room is private so we weren't disturbed by noise or anyone else chatting while we were relaxing. Our nail techs didn't talk to each other and only spoke to us when they asked us to move our feet or had a request. It was definitely a top notch treatment all the way. The pedicure we had was the more expensive one ($65) which included the scrub and paraffin treatment, but there is a cheaper one ($35 I think) that doesn't have those additional treatments. Because there are only two chairs in the nail service room, make sure to book well in advance. Everything was extremely clean and hygienic. I really felt that my nail esthetician, Tracy, did a fabulous job and I will be requesting her from now on. Be wary of the parking. Persona shares a tiny parking lot with Ruggles Green and a wine bar. At peak times you will have a very difficult time finding parking and may have to park a block or more away. There are a few reserved spots in the lot for Persona, but they go fast. It was nice to walk out of the spa and directly to Ruggles Green for lunch. Definitely a plus. I'll be back for manicures, pedicures, and more. read more

Clinic is very nice and clean too and pricing is very reasonable. Kathi Jones did my lips and really listened to my specific requests. She was so knowledgeable and clearly very experienced. The outcome was exactly what I wanted. I had fillers done at a different med spa and my lips were uneven and she fixed them as well as adding some more volume in the specific areas I wanted. The best in the business Beth Storey is no longer there, so I won't be either! I requested Beth when I made my last appointment, but when I arrived, I was told that Beth was not there due to COVID concerns. Apparently, that was a lie. I ended up with the owner, Kathy, and I was extremely disappointed with the outcome. Aside from her being rude, she changed the injection plan that Beth has been following for my face, and I was very unhappy with the results! I'll spare you all the details of that, but I questioned her at the time, and her reasoning was that you have to change things up after a period of time. That may or may not be true, but when you are "filling in" for the technician that I've been seeing for years, don't go changing things up! read more

Persona has zero bad reviews on here and rightfully so! This spa is immaculate, punctual, beautiful, relaxing, and the staff is friendly -- Everything you'd want out of an experience. I was looking for a new place for a facial and Persona was recommended by a friend. I booked an appointment for a facial with Allison and they fit me in for the following week. Next time I'll be sure to book a weekend appointment or late afternoon so that I can truly relax away from work! This appointment was during a lunch hour, and believe me, I did NOT want to return to work after my facial! Allison did such a fantastic job with my facial. She explained everything from the products, to the process, to skin in general and was very thorough and attentive to my personal skin concerns. Not to mention she is beyond talented in her craft and has the softest hands ever! I HIGHLY recommend this spa and Allison for a facial. I was recommended to go to this place. The location is great. When I entered the place, I was greeted politely by a very sweet staff receptionist and I automatically felt the calmness of the place. The place is clean, very organize and has the luxury feeling to it. The day before my appointment, they called me to remind me about the appointment which was actually helpful for me since I intend to forget things a lot of times. I got a brazillian wax done here. Dana was the lady who helped me get this over with. (lol) She was very sweet and she didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. She was quick and it only took less than 20 minutes for it to be over which I was actually glad because I was a bit nervous about the experience since I know it is going to be painful! She did a good job but since they used strips and not the actual wax, my skin was irritated and it was sensitive for over 2 days in a row. It was painful. read more

I used to go to the spa all the time and it was the best service ever. The owner Kathy was always there. I was there on Saturday 1/31/2015 tried to buy a $500 gift certificate with my Wellness Card (a VISA credit card) and my card was rudely rejected. The manager sent a message to me with one of the assistants saying that they do not honor that card. She did not have the decency of talking to me in person. I left one of my business cards at the front desk and asked for the owner to please call me (yeah, like they are going to give her the card when they know I am going to complain about them). Bottom line, this used to be the best of the best and now it is not worth it. Spend your money elsewhere. Sad. read more

I absolutely love Persona, I have been a client for over 5 years. Allison gives the best facials, my skin has completely changed thanks to her. I will not go anywhere else for a facial, and will not purchase any other products. I have been going to her for years on a very regular basis, and am so thankful that I have found her! Brittany has been my masseuse for years and does an amazing job. She has helped me through sports injuries and neuropathy/herniated disks after a car accident. The facility is very clean and relaxing, and the entire staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Ask for J-Bird she is wonderful! Also, Yonka, Avene, and Skinmedica products are sold here and are the best skin care products I have ever used and the only skin care products I will use. read more

I see deirdre at persona medical for microdermabrasion and glycolic peel. She is amazing! This is my first time ever having these procedures. My first visit she talked me through the process and prepared me for what the experience would feel like. I always was afraid to have these procedures done because I thought they would be painful and peel my skin. But that is far from the experience. My skin is glowing, healthy and very smooth. Deirdre has been an esthetician for decades and truly knows skin. I ask her many questions above my skin and skin care regimen and she always has the best advice/recommendations. I had the micro-needling with blood plasma (vampire facial) done here three times and micro needling with hyaluronic acid serum once. The vampire facials were horrible experience and waste of money. The consultants and people who worked here raved about how great it was and that my skin would look a lot younger and skin would look smoother. The first session, I waited three hours. The lady who did the procedure spent a little over an hour on my face and neck. The second and third sessions got much shorter. I felt like she was just going through the motions and rushed it the last time. I also saw the least amount of improvements in my skin from that session. While my skin did look a little better after it healed, it wasn't a remarkable change that a good facial or chemical peel couldn't accomplish for much lower price. Also, Persona does not use professionals to draw blood for the plasma serum. First time it was RN nurse and they made a mistake with the schedule (and forgot to schedule it) so I had to wait for a long time. The RN was there for something else and helped them out by drawing my blood. He had never drawn blood before and poked me so many times on the veins in my forearm (completely wrong) before actually getting blood (never happened to be fore when an experienced nurse couldn't draw blood). I had bruises all over my forearm for several weeks. I still have scars on my arm now (it's been several years). Second time there was a nurse who drew the blood but she was rough and it hurt a lot. Third time I could tell the nurse or person didn't have experience, and when I asked about their experience, they got nervous and asked the manager to come in. The manager said she had given her father shots every day and she ended up drawing my blood (it didn't seem like she had professional experience to draw blood either). Honestly I only gave them a third chance because I prepaid for the vampire facials. Otherwise I would have stopped going here and gone somewhere else. I do not recommend this place for microneedling with blood plasma. read more

I go here every single year....only because my boss buys me and the girls at work a gift certificate so we're forced to go here. The very first year, I had a wonderful experience but due mainly to the free red wine they offered. Every year since then, it's gone down hill. My biggest complaint is there's no more mani/pedis available. The masseuses vary from people to people, but their staff change often enough that the next year, I can't find the girl that actually did a decent massage. So this year, I will try another facial (the first one made my skin irritated at night time for some reason) and will review that at a later date. read more

I used to frequent Persona once a month and then life got in the way and i had to stop, but went in recently for a facial. What a DISASTER!! This place is horrible!!! The woman did not wash off my makeup before she did my facial so when i left, i had mascara all over my face. I specifically told her i did not want a peel and two days later my face started peeling. i called to complain and no one ever bothered to call me back. It is certainly not worth HALF of the $150 I paid! Don't waste your time or money. There are plenty of amazing spas in town that do a much better job. read more

I was referred to Persona Day Spa by a friend and was told they have give the best facials - boy, she didn't lie. I have officially become that inner-looper that is at the spa once a month for a personalized 60-minute facial. Persona is a serene oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Houston. I haven't had any trouble booking appointments and when I arrive they check me in promptly and quickly move me in to the dressing/changing room. You're given a luxurious robe, flip flops and locker for your personal belongings. Once you're changed you await for your technician in their inner "sanctuary" - dimly lit room with a beautiful fountain in the center of the room. Katherine is who I use on a regular basis for my facials and she's amazing. She's extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I loved how I wasn't pressured in to buying products or to make an additional appointment. I was truly able to relax and by the end of the my appointment, I was ready to come back the next day for another. Best facial, I've ever experienced. I've been to other "URBAN" spas and spent a lot more money and wasn't nearly as impressed as I was by Persona. Persona's staff took time to understand my history (i.e. my skin combination, products I use, allergies, etc). Most notably, my face have never looked more radiant following a facial. Hour personalized facial costs about $120 (includes, steam phase, deep pore cleansing with gentle extractions, hand and arm massage). A couple of things to note about Persona-if you're going for a Saturday appointment, it's really difficult to find parking b/c they share a parking lot with Ruggle on the Green. Also, the last time I made an appointment, I did not receive a confirmation call a couple of days before...I had to call and confirm my own appointment. There truly aren't enough good things to say about Persona. This is a great spa! read more

Let me preface that this is a review based mainly on the front desk staff and a few of the manager's, because my aesthetician Deidre is AMAZING! So if this was just about her, it would be a 5 star review! I have been going here for about 5 years now, and consistently for the last 3, and in that time period the front desk staff has gone from incredible to awful. Every time I call to schedule an appointment the receptionists always seems confused, and with out fail, tell me to be there 15 to 20 minutes prior to my appointment, (even though that is totally not necessary). Also when I go to pay and ask them to include gratuity they say "it is not necessary" (I am getting laser treatments and apparently most people do not tip, but because I want to make sure Deidre gets the tip she would have gotten if I was getting a wax like I used to, I like to include it), who are they to say its not necessary!!! If I feel like being generous to someone who has been servicing me for years, it is my right to do so. Also I have gone in before to buy a GC for my mom, and tried to find out the amount she needed for the treatment she wanted, and the receptionist said she could not ask her aesthetician about it because she was in with a client when I actually saw her standing in the managers office....RUDE! I will keep going here because of Deidre but the front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired, and they just happen to be the first people you see and the last people you see. On a side not their relaxtion area is fabulous and I really do enjoy myself when I get my treatments! I would highly recommend you go here but just be prepared for a possible annoying or unpleasant experience with the front desk staff. read more

I have been going to the spa now and then for a few years. Recently I was treated with extreme disrespect at my delayed appointment that i was told to go attend by another employee. Erica,one manager approached me and was hostile verbally and rude. I have never been treated so poorly anywhere. I will never go back to this spa and think the owner should interview this employee. There is some sort of personal issue with her abusive treatment with any client in this manner. This is a loss for the owner to allow this to happen to anyone that comes into this place of business. Once you retreat into the waiting area of the spa it has a relaxing ambience. I have had multiple facials and massages which were just ok. The problem is the front desk. They are inefficient and curt. Few smiles and an insincere thank you if one at all. They always seem to have a problem figuring out my bill. I regularly have facials with Monica and Diedre and both are very capable. I love the Yonka products used and the professionalism of the staff. There are separate rooms (locker room, relaxation room, and treatment room) and you get a robe and slippers. They offer lots of other services (microdermabrasion, peels, etc) but I have not tried any of them. The only downside to this place is the price. It is $109+ for standard facial so by the time you leave tip it adds up to a lot. I would rather skip the extra rooms and save a couple bucks - if it were cheaper I would come even weekly. Nonetheless, Monica and Diedre are solid estheticians and I would recommend to anyone. read more

It was my first time there. I was greeted right away once I walked it. I was about 20 min late and I felt terrible. They told me it was okay and they will still try to fit me in. Thank goodness they did. Naiomi did my massage and facial. She did an amazing job!!!! Her extraction was painless and thorough! Her massage was hitting all the right spots. After my treatment I went through the relaxing room to had a snack and a refreshing lemonade drink. Then I went to the cleaning room to shower and clean myself.
