Wan-Kai takes a hands-on approach to his treatment and will spend the entire hour and finding your referred pain points. He once determined that my wrist and elbow pain was stemming from the fascia in my cheeks: he used deep pressure to release the tension, and I immediately felt relief and was in awe of his expertise. You will be amazed by how much he knows about the interconnected pathways of the body that most other PTs do not, because those ones rarely spend time working with their hands literally on their patients, checking their entire bodies from head to toe. I've done continuous stretching and exercises I've learned online in order to try to stay active. Start of DynamX PT: Abigail did my evaluation and noticed I had weak posterior chain. Her and Dustin came up with a workout routine that I did both at physical therapy and at home. In my 3-month span I was able to go from barely able to jog with pain to one legged explosive jumping. Jae Ho was my primary therapist; but I was also occasionally seen by the other therapist there. I have nothing but great things to say about the therapist as well as the receptionists! The receptionists were friendly, kind, and always willing to work around my schedule. I first came into the office believing that I would never be able to walk normally again. Jae Ho was really patient and listened painstakingly to all the details that I brought up. His assessment of my ankle was thorough and he answered any question I had. I followed the workout regiment he gave me as closely as possible. Whenever exercises became too easy we progressed; if things were beyond my capability (at the time) we adapted the exercises to what I could handle. Throughout the months I slowly gained more confident in my abilities. I eventually came to a point where I had gained all the tools that I needed for my rehab; Jae Ho told me that at this point I was able to leave the nest but I can stay if I needed any more guidance. I decided to stay an extra month just to make sure I had all the exercises and their form down. Flash forward a year later, I am nearly back to the athletic levels I was before my accident. I just had my hardware removed a few weeks ago, and re-implementing the prescribed exercises has helped me speedily recover. This is where I met Justin whom worked with me and my physical therapy. It is amazing how one medium size room can be packed with nothing but essentials equipment for physical therapy.
