So, I went through twelve sessions for my femoral issues at this place. This place would be perfect if you are looking for an impersonal physical therapies where you will be treated by a different therapist each time you visit and you will be spending most of your time working with young college-age people, who I presume are interns (I hope they get paid). They will tell you what exercise you are to conduct and go on to do their thing. Perhaps they are juggling more than one patient at a time. I have gone through more than dozen physical therapies at various places in my life, but all of them provided the same therapist who worked with me from beginning to end. I don't know how this place would track my progress. During my last visit, I was treated by an Asian therapist, who looked like he barely graduated college. He used a massage gun on my thigh and back for about ten minutes and said, "That's all I got for you today." Maybe he was not pleased when I answered his question."What is happening with your back?" with a terse." Look at my file." I was tired of having to explain why I was there each time when a new person worked with me (I worked with five different therapists). I dislike when a medical facility turns into a factory, and this place feels like an assembly line facility. You can bet I will not return to place. read more

I had a knee replacement in November of 2018. I was referred to CPRx for outpatient therapy. What a great place! The staff is knowledgeable and professional And they are happy. There is visible camaraderie among the staff. The physical therapists make a plan based on their very thorough assessments and the trainers guide the patients through their exercises during each session. I was thoroughly impressed and although they worked me hard, I looked forward to going. I also love my new, pain free knee and am back to all my previous activities. Unfortunately, I wasn't originally referred to CPRx by the insurance provider and was sent to a facility whom had no idea what to do with my injury and caused more harm than good. My doctor saw swelling and immediately request CPRx who was out of my network and thank god he did. After only three sessions I felt a difference. Cesar and all the therapist at CPRx are very knowledgeable and stay with you throughout your entire session. Unlike the previous place. I am amazed, so very impressed and highly recommend CPRx. CPRX is an incredible Physical Therapy practice. The staff is extremely customer focused, knowledgeable, and dedicated to their profession. I was referred by another physical therapist to CPRX to help diagnose and treat a problem I have with my feet. I am a college athlete so having problems really effects my daily life. Within 5 minutes of coming in, I was already doing exercises to start fixing my problem. Cesar was quick with understanding the problem, diagnosing it, and creating a treatment plan to get me back on my feet ASAP. He was able to effectively set me up with the proper exercises so i can feel what the proper placement should be. I can already feel a difference in the way I walk and do the exercises because I am aware of my target area. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice for anyone with problems especially if you have not been given clear answers elsewhere. This staff knows so much information and is able to effectively communicate it to their patients and knows exactly how to fix it. Definitely worth a shot to go check it out! Well lets just say this is my 4th auto accident and have been to many physical therapist. I'm a patient now at CPRX in Los Alamitos. My PT is Ceasar Fajardo. I'm on my 5th visit and feel some relief after each visit. I have never been given the exercise i do here and so i know their doing something right. I have been very pleased with the professionalism, level of care and kindness I received from everyone. After injuring my shoulder, I called several PT centers but was struck by the kindness of the receptionist, Aurora, and the customer service she provided which swayed me to select CPRx. Physical therapy sucks because it means something isn't working right and you need to get it fixed. Go to CPRx to get it fixed! The entire CPRx staff was awesome helping me rehab after knee surgery. Cesar was my PT, and he was fully invested in my recovery. He developed a rigorous PT program for me, but always asked me how the knee was feeling when I arrived, and then adjusted the day's exercises as needed. The trainers and other PTs are great. They are professional, knowledgable, and fun! I had a much, much better experience at CPRX compared to another local office I used two years earlier. Definitely go to CPRx. read more

I had surgery in December, 2006 for a torn meniscus and ACL which meant that I would need physical therapy. I was very lucky to be referred to CPRx, one of the best clinics I have ever attended. This is confirmed by the fact that there were other patients there whose recovery was not going well so they changed PT clinics to CPRx in hopes of improving. My therapist, Maiko, was the best! Friendly and knowledgeable, she made a painful and daunting recovery possible. My sessions were tough, but enjoyable because of Maiko and the staff. Everyone at CPRx is great and you really can't go wrong with any of the trainers or PTs. They all treat you like family - they're encouraging and supportive - yet they're always professional. And, when your prescribed PT is done, you have an option to do a program called AFT to ensure that progress continues before stopping cold turkey! I hope I don't need to go through that again, however, if PT is needed, I know where I'll go, even if it's out of my way! I enthusiastically recommend Maiko and CPRx to anyone in need! read more

I have been told that my family has helped to keep this place running. To some this may seem an exaggeration, but perhaps it is not. I was the first of my family to be involved with CPRx back in 2004. I was a senior in high school who had torn my ACL in a soccer injury. CPRx taught me how to walk again, then run again and eventually had me ready to play 2 years of collegiate soccer. Without them, I am positive that I would never have achieved the same things. CPRx has an ability to help people achieve their goals whether it be a balance problem, rehabilitation from a stroke, sport's rehabilitation or just trying to dissipate some of the daily pain you may have. In the past 5 years, my sister has attended CPRx twice, my brother for another injury and now I am back again for a new knee injury. CPRx has changed a lot in the past 5 years. There building has expanded, they now have 2 separate locations, there are more physical therapists (most from the top Physical Therapy Program in the US) and even more PT aides to help you along your journey to get better. Every single person at CPRx works to make sure that your physical therapy with them is as enjoyable and beneficial as it can be (from smiles at the front desk from Pattie to the one on one time with your physical therapist Jack, Maiko, Cesar, or Tammy--all of which care tremendously about their patients). When given the choice to attend a physical therapy location that was closer to my home in Huntington Beach or attend physical therapy at CPRx (about 25 minutes away) I chose CPRx without a second guess...you should too. As a young, active, healthy person I never thought about my health other than "I shouldn't eat this" or "I need to go to the gym." After a devastating injury left me having to learn how to walk all over again, I have come to attribute all of my progress to CPRX and their staff of amazing professionals who genuinely care about everyone that walks through their doors. I have been going to CPRX 2x/week for the last 6 months and although the milestones along my road to recovery are now farther apart than they once were (due to the rate of diminishing returns, and not because of any shortcomings with my therapy) I continue to see results. For most patients, their treatment consists of a custom workout (strength, stability, stretching, etc) that becomes progressively more intense the longer they continue to receive treatment. The exercises are written with each person's injury in mind and the trainers are very concerned with ensuring that you are not doing anything that causes pain at the site of injury or elsewhere. Because I am a longer-term patient than they usually see, my treatments have taken on more of a self-led approach to my exercises (the trainers still create my routines but do not stand by my side while I execute them) but I can testify that for most patients they do provide 1 on 1 attention throughout their session. Following an exhaustive workout I am then seen by my therapist who dedicates roughly 15-30 minutes (depending on the treatment) to working on correcting my injuries and any pain or stiffness that has occurred since my last session. Thanks to CPRX for teaching me how to walk, helping me to pay better attention to my body and its movements, and giving me back as much of the active lifestyle that my clumsiness took from me as possible. In early Oct. 2008 I received a surgical repair to a ruptured bicep tendons. When it was time to begin physical therapy, I ask my surgeon if I would be going to the PT department in his building. He said, Oh no, I'm sending you to CPRx ! I thought it was a bit odd but after three months of rehabilitation with the fine staff of consummate professional that I had met there, I can see why. Their attention and the detailed program that they had specifically designed for my lifestyle and injury was very impressive and the results showed. Something else that caught my attention and also impressed me was their work with others, particularly geriatric patients. CPRx is legit! The physical therapists seriously know their stuff, the trainers are fun, the facility is beautiful, and everyone there (both workers and clients) have a lot of fun laughing together but also get excellent work done. You will not be disappointed coming here. I tore my ACL playing Ultimate Frisbee, and after surgery I went to a PT place close to my house but they did not inspire confidence in me at all. Nasty ... they are dealing with people in pain and yet act like they are the martyr.

I first came here in 2012 with a damaged rotator cuff. I was authorized 10 visits but was healed after 6. Caesar was my therapist. In March I had arthroscopic surgery and referred here for PT. My current therapist is Maiko. All of their therapists have have doctorates in PT. They develop you program tailored to you as an indvidual. On your first visit they do an assessment not only of your issue but of related issues that may affect it or cause it. This is not a cookie cutter one size fits all operation. Equally important is that the therapist develops a specific course of therapy that is followed by the trainers and is constantly evaluated. At the end of each session the therapist confers with you and evaluates your progress and will do additional therapy if necessary. You have constant interaction with a trainer who follows the therapist's program and helps you do the therapy properly. All of them are friendly, helpful, and constantly ask how it's going and if the activity is a problem. If one trainer gets tied up another one will jump in so your entire time is productive. read more

The people here are very nice and seem competent, but their model is a bit of an assembly line. They are flexible with booking and very accommodating. Unfortunately my treatment wasn't anywhere near what I expected. I was assigned to a relatively new therapist who was knowledgeable, but overbooked and hadn't yet acquired all the relevant skills to treat my back. The therapist assigned me to a trainer, who was monitoring 3-6 patients at the same time. After working out with the trainer, the therapist would then have a few minutes to spend with me at the end of my session, and would inform me I had spent the prior hour doing exercises incorrectly. I left after four sessions. read more

Just finished 12 weeks of PT at CPRx following hip replacement surgery, and couldn't be more pleased with the experience! The entire staff are welcoming, patient and supportive, adding to the healing process. My primary therapist, Erin, was outstanding in her ability to isolate the muscles that were affected by my surgery and recommend effective exercises. She also took the time to explain the mechanics of movement, and how to best approach my rehab. On those rare occasions when she was not available, another therapist, Allison, would cheerfully step in to continue the process. Most sessions ended with massage to ease the effects of a challenging, but invigorating exercise regimen under the watchful eye of the training staff. In their approach to massage, both Erin and Allison were gentle and understanding, and I always benefitted from their efforts. By the time of my last session, I had met all the goals set for my recovery, and highly recommend CPRx as a pleasant, effective, and dependable source for physical therapy! read more
