I received a warm welcome and was introduced to the Aesthetician that would be doing my facial. Overall the service was great - there was soothing/calming wave sounds playing in the room, and Jeanie (the Aesthetician) did a great job at mapping my skin and talking through what she could see from my skin. The service itself was great, left my skin feeling refreshed and also I got great tips on what to continue doing as well as introduce into my skincare routine. Nothing better than getting a relaxing facial, leaving with better skin and also knowing what to do more and less of to maintain and improve skincare. So Rose was great but I never really felt like I had results from the facial. Usually after a facial I'll feel glowy or something but nothing ever came. I paid extra for extractions on my chest. She told me they would get worse before they got better but they never got better. I just ended up with worse acne on my chest. ‍ I guess the products here are just not for me. ** About a week since my facial and I have broken out really badly with pimples. Is this normal? I've not had pimples so painful under my skin since before I treated my acne years ago. They are really painful and located on my chin and cheeks. I usually do not break out so I know it's related to my facial. That's the only thing that changed in my regular face routine. What can I do to calm them down? It's my birthday this weekend and it sucks to have a painful breakout. I booked a facial 24 hours in advance of my appointment and drove all the way from Virginia for my 7pm slot. Upon arriving, me and another client realized we must have been double booked because there was no one there to greet us and the door was closed with what we guessed was someone with a client. You are instructed to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork so we both waited but we ended up waiting for about 30-45 minutes. Finally Jessica came out and after not apologizing for her tardiness with her previous client, told me that I would have to reschedule because they were double booked. I had scheduled via classpass and with my past experiences with wellness visits, they notify the location of the appointment. Jessica did not apologize and said I would have to reschedule or she could stay late ( I appreciated the latter). I told her I had paid for parking and had driven over an hour to get there so I would wait. The other client was beyond kind and rescheduled her appointment to come back another time so I could take the slot. Jessica then proceeded to do a consultation in the waiting room with the other client with me right there! It didn't seem professional and we were now reaching 45 minutes past the scheduled appointment. The facial was fine, she did try to do as many extractions and was cognizant of my sensitive skin. Overall I'm extremely disappointed and I did not leave the salon until 9:00 pm. I would not recommend this place. I was really hoping to find a regular facial spot but this is a no go. I think the owner should refund the client that rescheduled as we were double booked and give her a complimentary gift! She was so kind to do that! read more

I've been seeing Rose at Personal Esthetics for a few months now and I am so glad I finally found a place where the membership price is a great deal, the products work very well and the treatments are very personalized to my current skin condition. I had pretty acne prone and oily skin, so I started with acne treatment facials then am now transitioning to the maintenance facials.
