He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! The sequence of the activities did not go as planned. I was told to have the parents come 15 min early bec they start on the dot. It started 30 min late!!!Attendants did not keep the kids entertained that some of the kids had to leave the area and idle around because they were bored. Games were outdated. Food came late that the attendant had to add extra game to stall for more time. Kids did not want to play anymore because they were hungry. My whole family and i all had to pitch in in setting up the craft table and pass paint around because kids were impatient. Mocks were handed out when the kids were almost done painting. The most-awaited balloon drop did not work right. Come cake time, noone was available to do the cake so my family and i initiated it. I asked for light for the candles and cake knife and they DiD nOT have one! Unbelievable!!! It is definitelt not the staff's fault because my contract was with the owner and not with them. The owner had the time to call me in the morning to ask how many kids ($$) were coming but had no decency to tell me about the short staff. Bottom line is I had a terrible experience and most likely the parents of those 21 kids won't book there for theirkid's party. The staff were genuinely apologetic and nice but the service agreed upon was definitely NOT met. The money they took off the balance was not worth the aggravation and disappoinment. How can someone be in this business when they don't care about their clients and the idea of making their kid's special day actually special?

We hit it off the first time we met at his New York office, and we knew we would have a great time working with him. From the beginning, he tried to understand our overall vision and aesthetic for the wedding. He gave us great suggestions for how to transform a hotel conference room into a really beautiful, opulent space (which he did!). He draped the entire room in white flowy fabric and put hundreds of candles in the one floor-to-ceiling window wall of the room. He found these amazing gold candlestick holders for our high centerpieces which ended up looking phenomenal. He and his staff were great on the day of the wedding and got everything where it needed to be on time both at the church and at the hotel. The ballroom was set up beautifully, and we were in awe of the transformation. Mitch was really patient with the many, many questions and requests my wife and I had over the months leading up to the wedding, and he didn't try to oversell us on things we didn't want or need. I agreed to meet her the following week and when I reached out to confirm the day we were supposed to meet, she replied s "I apologize in advance but I was looking at our calendar of events and our schedule is pretty tight". So now 2 weeks have passed where I could've been planning. As an event planner, I assume that before you continue conversations with a potential client you make sure you are available to provide your services on the event date and one of your priorities is to manage your schedule well enough to not put a potential client in this situation.
