Food is pleasant, plenty of parking, pretty bathrooms, lovely trees outside of the windows. Nice dance floors!

I've come here a few times now for a variety of events on diff weekend nights…read more Never do I choose or has anyone Ive known chose the downstairs area for an event. It's dark and dingy but is accompanied with a full size bar and table seating. The upstairs room is spacious with a full bar and nicely maintained bathrooms. They provide both tables and chairs. The lighting and placement of tables/ DJ set ups can be worked with easily. The food is catered Italian. VERY good. Decent menu selection for the cost. Basic price per person includes wine/beer and soft drinks. The guy (can't remember his name/I think Tom?) that you arrange details and bookings with, is easy to get in touch with and explains well what the place and prices offer. HOWEVER only ONE of the 4 plus workers that work the bar and clean up- is very nice and social. The rest are quiet and don't want to be "bothered" is the vibe they give off. The bartender for my moms birthday was the worsttt with his attitude! I paid for half the party and even I felt uncomfortable asking for another soda! Everyone I came into conversation with had noticed and had something to say about him. It wasn't at all enjoyable having his service. I wish I got his name and the name of the one guy that was very pleasant. *Overall, for the price and food- I would book another event here.*

One of the best parts of my visit was meeting a volunteer named Keenan. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing the museum with visitors. Keenan took the time to show me around and tell me lots of interesting facts about the museum and the aircraft exhibited. I also learned that he has been volunteering at the museum for 12-13 years despite having cerebral palsy. He told me lots of his experience and how he'd like to work at the museum someday. I really did enjoy the museum and recommend it but it definitely hurt my heart knowing that being so passionate and dedicated he was just a volunteer.

When we first got there we went up stairs and downstairs and too a room where there was a few planes and one you could go up into the cockpit. Then we went upstairs to some other small models and the history of Pan Am. We thought that was it but we realized we started the museum backwards and ended up into a room full of all sorts of aircraft's from military, to USPS, commercial jets and more. Then there was another area dedicated to Outer space and there was even some arcade machines scattered throughout the museum that had to do with aircraft. Probably spent an hour and a half there. Easily could have spent a whole day there if you watch some movies they have and read all the plaques etc. for each thing. We ended up getting free passes from the library which was definitely a plus but if you're looking for something to do and keep kids occupied for a while this is definitely a place to go. They also have a cafeteria there as well. We did not eat there so can't speak on the food but it looked fairly big and everything was very clean.

We had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah at Steel Event Space this past weekend and our family and friends…read morecan not stop talking about it. When you are having these types of events the only people remember are the entertainment and the food. Steel did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal and MC Ricky was absolutely incredible. Just book MC Ricky don't think about it just do it. Every person was on the dance floor. The vibe in the room was so much fun! The decorations and decor were perfect. Richie was a pleasure to do business with and his staff was more then accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our guest with food allergies were taken care of. We also wound up having to have our service there prior to the party and he was able to turn our idea into reality making the space feel more appropriate for that part of the event. Which turned into a blessing in disguise as the party was on the minute the service concluded. The stress free transition made everyone truly enjoy the party. The added bonus of the all inclusive (except the swag) meant the overall cost was less and zero headaches as there were no vendors to have coordinate with. Forget about the traditional sit down catering halls. With the cocktail style dinner service the party never had to stop so you could eat. Out party could not have gone any smoother and most important everyone had a great time.

I cannot recommend this place. You shouldn't eat here…read more Just finished dining here on a Friday night. The food was ok, the service was terrible. First thing we noticed, in the area we were seated at, right by the waiter station was a mountain, a big disgusting mountain, of dirty dishes piled up on display. Totally not acceptable. The food took a long time to come to the table. First the bread, then the appetizers, then the main. We sat there with a table full of dirty dishes the entire meal, no one checked on us and cleared the table. No one. Actually, nobody moved our appetizer dishes before the main dishes came, I got up and moved them to another table as the waiter was putting the main course on the table. It was comically unacceptable. Also, don't expect steak knives with your steak or chops, we had to ask for them; we were left to use the butter knives we had from our bread. Also, beware the fish special and the truffle fries, no bueno. The manager I spoke to was useless. It he didn't see all of this incompetence unfolding around him, he's an uncaring leader. I told him how I had to move dishes to another table and showed him them. He cleared the dirty dishes off of that table and asked us if there was anything else we needed. Yes, we were still waiting on our truffle fries. He brought them, and that was all he did. At least the main waiter removed the nasty fish dish from our bill. Avoid this place. It's too expensive for crappy service and mediocre food. It was the first time I left less than a 25% tip in over 20 years, the service was so terrible, I still feel as if I left too much money. Avoid!

Omg I love this place…read more My best-friends birthday party was so cool for many reasons including but not limited to all the unique, easy to use, functioning retro arcade games, basketball hoop games, foosball, skeeball, RACE CARS, and they even cater to current movie themes like Jurassic Park amongst others. As far as the decor, I can't even say enough wonderful things about it... all the furniture, tables, chairs etc were completely beautiful and well kept as if we were the only people who had ever used them before. She got so many compliments- not just from guests at the party, but also from people on social media who were so excited to see the photos from hearing guests who attended completely raving about the aesthetic of the party- they actually thought she hired a interior party decorator, haha! And don't even get me started about the custom, personalized banners they make. She felt so special and that made us so happy and appreciative. This is THE place to go for any and all party throwing needs. I'm seriously considering hiring them for my birthday bash this year because their products are perfect for any age and are willing to work with you. I'm so happy I got recommended to Great Neck Games..they finessed my best friends party to a T! It's safe to say they not only talk the talk, but they sure walked the walk.

It is a long review, but if you are planning an event, I urge you to read this until the end…read more Planning my son's Bar Mitzvah was a daunting task. The expense and amount that needed to be done was overwhelming and I needed to figure out a way to rein it in. Hiring a DJ for a Bar Mitzvah is a must, but it isn't as simple as that. The company is also responsible for providing the rest of the kids activities and, most importantly, keeping the party entertaining and flowing. Having recently moved to Connecticut and not put on an affair like this in over two decades since my wedding, I had no idea who to go to and how to keep in manageable. Also, living in CT and never having lived on Long Island, I obviously had no awareness of Great Neck Games. Randomly, an acquaintance at my Synagogue mentioned them in passing. It was honestly the greatest thing that happened to me in planning the event. Although, I am not saying it was cheap in any way, they worked with me on price and activities in order to keep the cost manageable. But, honestly, I still had no idea what to expect day of and how it would all actually take shape. The low hanging fruit was all done flawlessly. Everything that we ordered was delivered and the room looked beautiful. But, it was the little things and the people that made this event so much better than a run-of-the-mill Bar Mitzvah (see below for two of many amazing photos). Everyone was so happy and had such a great time and I credit DJ Keith Webb along with (I wish I knew their names) the MC and motivators. Keith was so much more than just a DJ. We had a separate room for the adults and he brought a speaker and playlist so they had music in that room. There was no charge for this as he just wanted to help make the event a success. He helped me negotiate the price on a couple of things we needed last minute to keep us within budget. He had a smile on his face the entire time that could fill the room. I am so grateful to him and wish I had the ability to hire him time and again. And, the MC...don't get me started on how great he was. I feel bad that I still don't know his name, but as you can imagine the day was a whirlwind and there was lots going on. He was simply special. He made every kid and adult feel like it was their day as well. But, he especially made my son feel like he should at a party of this magnitude. The motivators, two beautiful and talented women, were equally responsible for making both kids and adults feel engaged, happy and special. They were perfect. I am going to cut this here as it is crazy long, but I cannot thank Great Neck Games enough for what they did. I didn't want to put on such an expensive affair, but they did something I didn't think was possible - made me happy I did it. And, they truly deserve a large share of the credit.
