This was such a thoughtful, high quality spot. Probably the best acupuncture experience I've ever had and I've been doing it almost my whole life. They did a whole body scan to see which organ systems and parts of your body are under or over activated- never seen something like this before when it comes to holistic care, and awesome to see some hard data in a field of care where it's difficult to do so. Since my first visit and throughout routine care they spend a considerable amount of time finding out where the pain is, muscle relaxation, followed by an adjustment which varies based on the issue area(s) at the time. Dr. Curda is the BEST. I came to him after having severe, chronic back pain post-partum. I couldn't sit for longer than 10 minutes at a time and I couldn't drive. I also couldn't pick-up my son, which was very disheartening for me. He was very gentle and understanding! After about a week and a half, I was moving a lot better (vs. the 4 months I spent at PT where I had very little change). I am forever thankful for his services. He has an excellent bedside manner and handle of his field. I also had no problem getting appointments that worked for me, and he allowed me to bring my son to my appointments. Carole is hands down the best massage therapist I have ever been to. I have dealt with chronic pain in my shoulders and arms for several years. I started seeing her a couple of months ago and after each session I feel like the pain and tightness takes longer and longer to come back. Ya'll NEED to hear this! I came to this practice many years ago and had a nice experience so when I was experiencing some major trauma last week with my jaw, I decided to go back. When I got there, I was surprised to learn that the practice had been sold and here I was facing an unknown practitioner to help fix my jaw. Turns out, that Dr. Jason specializes in jaw's which was welcome news. He was not only caring and gentle with me but he also served a bit as a therapist to help me figure out WHY my jaw froze which was hindering me from closing it tightly and EATING! UGH! I was super scared, not even sure if I was at the right type of doctor, but turns out, I was EXACTLY in the right place where I needed to be for help. With one adjustment, seriously, ONE adjustment, my jaw unlocked and I was able to close my mouth again. As the day progressed, it started to get looser and looser and by the next morning, I was 100% fine again! CURED!!!! I had a follow up 3 days later and even the doctor was impressed with my recovery! I purchased a voucher for Personalized Chiropractic that included an evaluation and massage. As other reviewers have noted, the staff are very nice and do make extra effort to remember patient names. Unfortunately, this was not enough to outweigh the discomfort I have experienced as a result of Dr. Walcher's overbearing style. I only spent about 15 minutes total (over three visits) in Dr. Walcher's presence; however, his mannerisms and the amount of sales pressure he exerted felt worse than a used car salesman. Surprised by his recommendation for approximately 6 months of treatments, I required time to consider the recommendation and discuss with my family. After I refused to sign up for a package deal he offered, he grew increasingly frustrated and finally stopped pressuring me when I said I would make an appointment for the following week, giving myself 5 days to research and consider. Our time was rushed, he was aggressive, and I left very confused at having this experience at a doctor's office. Ultimately, I cancelled the scheduled adjustment and only returned for the final part of my voucher, which was a lovely massage by Ginger. I had been experiencing knee pain for a few years and I thought that since I had arthritis in both knees that it was my destiny to be in pain the rest of my life. I was wrong, I never thought that going to a Chiropractor would help my knees and the pain I was experiencing when I would walk, exercise, or get up from a chair. I had tried many things to help like going to my Doctor, Advil, ice packs, heat, exercise, Physical Therapy, acupuncture, and finally cortisone shots. These things would relieve the pain for a while, but they were only relieving the symptom which was the pain; but not taking care of the problem. I purchased a voucher from Dr. Walcher for a complete Chiropractic exam, X-rays, a nerve scan, and a massage. I thought if there was no explanation for my pain, then at least I would get a massage out of the deal. I found out that my hips were out of alignment, and that is what was causing so much pain and pressure on my left knee. After seeing Dr. Walcher for about a month, my knee pain was gone. I have had other benefits like sleeping well, having more energy, my attitude and mood is better, and I haven't had an Advil for pain since I started. I started at Personalized Chiropractic a few months ago when I had some lower back pain flare up after running a half-marathon. I wasn't sure if it was related to that or something more serious. I went in and had a screening with Dr Walcher and he recommended a treatment plan to alleviate the lower back pain and also bring the curvature back to my neck and spine. Within a week my back started feeling better and now there is no pain. I feel great and sleep much better since seeing Dr Walcher. I got into a car accident right before Christmas and I needed a chiropractor ASAP. I did my research and found Personalized Chiropractic but on that day, they were not open. I went to see another chiropractor that sucked. So, I called this office back and saw them and I am so happy that I did. I usually see Dr Ryan but when he is out of the office, I see Dr Rob and they are both amazing. I had a thorough examination which included X-rays and a spine exam, which the other office did not do. Dr Ryan explained what the X-rays showed and what the spine exam meant. Michelle runs the front and she is a sweetheart. Dr. Ryan Curda is fantastic. I moved to SD in February and I have never had a chiropractor help me as much as Dr. Ryan has. He genuinely cares about his patients, really listens to you, and is super nice. He takes his time when adjusting and adjusts exactly what is needed. I've been to many Dr.'s, that I feel, adjust everyone the same, over adjust to make you "feel" better, and don't listen. Not Dr. Ryan Curda I have a sharp pain in my back that I've had since 2005 and I constantly go to chiropractors for help. The pain always comes back after a few days and never gets better, until I found Dr. Ryan. After having just a few adjustments with Dr. Ryan, the pain was relieved, I haven't had sharp pain, and I feel great. I feel like I am finally getting healed, instead of a quick fix. Now that I've been seeing him consistently for 2 months, I have been pain free. Dr. Ryan's consultations are very thorough and explained everything about my body and which vertebra is pinching nerves that is affecting my body functions. I was apprehensive at first because I'd had back pain from training previously, and was afraid of the end-result of my chiropractic treatment. I have heard the pros and cons of chiropractic medicine and researched very carefully - so I made sure to see someone who knows what he's doing, and specifically with Dr. Walcher because of his reputation. He did a physical evaluation and took an x-ray as a part of the initial criteria. This is important, as there are practitioners who don't take the time to assess the issue correctly before treatment. After several adjustments from Dr. Walcher, I am doing so much better in many aspects and am back into training. At the risk of sounding cliche, Dr. Curda is, by far, the best chiropractor I have ever been to. Recently, I had been having a reoccurring pinched nerve in my neck that just wouldn't go away. I visited a few other chiropractors about the issue but, after each of those visits, the problem persisted. I have visited Dr. Curda only twice and my pinched nerve is completely gone. What's even more astonishing is that the pain and mobility issues I was having from the injury were 90% gone after just one visit. After my second visit, I'm back to 100%. I was referred to Dr. Ryan Curda for my chiropractic care by a dear friend, Dr. Beau Casey. I have known Beau for over 10 years and he was actually my massage school teacher and chiropractor. He is like family. I have recently over the last month had the worst pain in my chest and upper back. Dr. Walcher was recommended to my by my cousin's wife. I've experienced various levels of knee pain over the last 6-8 years and she thought he could help. I'd never been to a chiropractor before visiting Dr. Walcher, but had heard good things. I'm sure glad that I decided to go. Not only is my knee feeling better, but there are a host of other benefits that I've been experiencing, including better sleep and improved mobility. Chiropractic medicine isn't magic. Dr. Walcher can't heal an ailing back overnight, just like an MD won't cure you of the flu overnight. It takes time to undo the damage a hot tub fall (that's alleged and has never been proven!) has done to your body. If you don't believe Dr. Walcher, get a second opinion! I did, and his treatment plan was exactly the same as the first chiropractor. Now, I chose to go with Dr. Walcher because of his location, and I'm glad I did! Let me try to describe the awesomeness of his practice: 1) There are private rooms. I've heard of other offices where you're lined up on tables, and the doc goes down the line adjusting people. Nooo thanks. 2) Michelle! For those that haven't met her, she's the receptionist. Being that's she's up front, I'd call her the face of the practice. And boy did Dr. Walcher choose a good one! 3) Technology. The entire dang practice is just about paperless. From checking in each time, to billing, to having your file on the screen in your private room when Dr. Walcher walks in. No papers with your SSN floating around to get lost. 4) It's hip in there. Dr. Walcher looks like a GQ model, and they have happening music during the week and house music on Fridays. I guess labor laws prohibit him from offereing Red Bull and vodkas. :( 5) Finally, they're flexible. Michelle does a great job of working with my insurance company, and Dr. Walcher will still see you if you're a few minutes early or a few minutes late. What else can I say? The music is always great and I love the education information they have for you to take home and read while you wait. On my first appointment he did a scan of my whole nerve a system. I know that the scan itself is very expensive to run and then I got x-rays. I love it.! I love adjustments and I love going to a wonderful office. I am a regular who misses appointments or is running late and they are always so great with me. They call me to remind me of appointments or remind me when the doctor is out of the office. A tad pricy, but if you pay up front it is way more affordable than paying every visit. I go 2-3x a week and paid for 6 months upfront. I love how they give x-ray's in the beginning and do a stress test so you can see where your body is working too hard. Then they redo the test 1/2 way through and then again at the end so you can see the proof that the adjustments are working. It's also a quick in and out session every time. I am generally never there more than 5 mins. read more

I started seeing Dr. Curda about two months ago for this persistent numbness I was getting into the front of my thigh which I assumed was related to a pinched nerve of some sort. After my exam Dr. Curda explained to me what was likely happening and how we should proceed. I began noticing improvements after only a few visits and have feeling and function returned. I was recommended to Dr. Walcher by my friend who found him through a Groupon deal. I also purchased the incredible deal and was more than enthusiastic and excited to go in for my initial exam and X-rays to see why and what exactly had I been causing me so much lower back pain as well as localized upper back pain. This wasn't my first round being seeing by a chiropractor as I had about 5 treatments done about 5 or 6 years ago for the same back pain complaints. After meeting with Dr. Walcher and discussing the results of my initial exam, I was told pretty much the same information I was told years before. The consistency of my results was encouraging because it proved that what is going on with these chiropractic practices isn't a scam- it is legitimate healthcare examinations and treatments for issues that many people have and are completely unaware of. Although I did feel slightly pressured to purchase the 6 month package of adjustments that were needed to begin correcting subluxation on my spine, I completely understood where Dr. Walcher was coming from when he urged me that this minimum 6 month plan is the least I needed to help correct all of the symptoms I was experiencing due to my spinal subluxation. I could really feel his concern for my well being and his urgency to want to HELP me rather than SELL to me. Their hours jump around throughout the day and are kind of random and a pain in the butt sometimes but luckily, for the most part, they fit well with my work schedule and incredibly short length of the visits are IDEAL. It has been about 3 months now since my initial visit. I hate to admit it because I too was a skeptic, however, I am pleased to say that my nights consist of far more sleep. I can't even remember that last time I woke up in the middle of the night to "crack" my back and neck and I am able to wash a sink full of dishes now without having to stop from unbearable and annoying lower back pain! Yes, I do still look forward to my now twice weekly visits for readjustments, I don't miss having to constantly self-adjust my back multiple times during the day and night. I have already received a 3 month follow up re-exam which showed significant improvements from my initial one and I absolutely can't wait for my 6 month follow up to see the x-rays and hopefully great improvements to the curvature of my c-spine.
