Maybe I just got a bad masseuse this time, so in that case I highly don't recommend Pam at this location in Livonia. I get to LaVida at 2:10 for my 2:15 appointment on Monday December 23, 2024. I finish their intake form in 1 minute because I sped through the whole thing, not wanting to waste any time. I wasn't picked up from the masseuse till 2:21, please fact check the cameras there to show that accuracy, because I know I'm right about that. Which means, by the time the masseuse is done talking to me and I take off all my clothes and lay in the bed, I'm not getting massaged till 2:30. The whole time I'm in the bed she's telling me that I'm stiff and I need to stretch or my soreness won't go away. I tell her I don't like my armpits touched, and the area right above my butt is always tickly so I don't like that touch either. I tell her both things she gives me attitude both times, saying things like "It's tickly here because it's tight. So you don't want me to massage this?" Like no woman I said what I said don't touch me there. She spends just as much time on my arms and legs as she did on my back.. So what was the point of me even doing the intake form? Not to mention she probably spent a good 15 minutes just putting on lotion, and doing whatever she was doing because it wasn't massaging me. She turns me around, rubs my shoulders for about 2 minutes and then tells me she's done. It's 3:15 on the dot.. I am fully clothed and in the lobby by 3:19. How is it that I pay for a 60 minute massage but I'm fully clothed and out before the time they even brought me to the room. Again, go ahead and watch your cameras and see when I come out back. Check it, please. So not only did you shorten my time, but you didn't do what I asked you to, which was focus on my upper back. They did take off $30, which I will check our bank statements to see, however this was a waste of my time.. I'm not saying don't come here. I'm saying don't come here and get Pam as a masseuse. Let's see if they rectify the situation because this is unacceptable.

Then, two appointments showed up on my schedule that I never personally scheduled or agreed to -- and when I didn't show up, I was charged two $50 "no-show" fees. Just to be clear, this had happened previously with an appointment I missed legitimately, and I had no issue paying the fee. When I questioned it, the explanation was basically: once they put something on the schedule, it's considered confirmed unless you cancel, and reminder texts count as confirmation. I asked for proof that I actually scheduled those visits, but what I got back were policy copies and reminder screenshots with nothing showing that I ever agreed to those dates. They refused to waive the fees. So my takeaway for future patients: watch your schedule closely and get clear confirmation of what you've actually agreed to, because Brostrom WILL do whatever they can to extort you for those fees. And if you have a problem with it, they will let you know by sending you to collections over the no-show fee.

I gave them another chance with my recent visit for a health checkup on 12/1/20. Making the appointment and getting in was a breeze. Staff was nice per usual. My issue comes with the lack of communication and this place being unresponsive. I have emailed them 3 times and called them twice asking for a simple detailed receipt and statement of my visit due to questionable charges. The doctor told me they received my email but was busy and would get it to me. It's been 3 days and counting... They are not too busy to get you in, provide service and bill you but anything thereafter...silence. It's an unfortunate experience since I thought I found my new doctor but I value the entire experience not just the part where you make money from me.

I play about ten hours of tennis a week and am a hairdresser, so my body can get pretty racked. I have never felt better than after my visits there. I feel like I float out of the office. I also was fitted for custom inserts for my shoes that have put my body back to better alignment. My hips are off level and these inserts help to bring them back up, not to mention my knee problems. This office is genuinely concerned for each patient that walks in the door, and Dr. Aiello has a healing quality that makes me look forward to my weekly visits to his office. I purchased a large package of visits, so each visit is roughly 39 dollars. They also sell great veggie, fruit, and omega powders that I reconstitute and drink daily for internal health. There is an option for trainer-assisted stretching which I am going to try on my next visit. I love this office, and already anticipate purchasing a larger package of visits for a slightly better rate, but also to continue going weekly to be adjusted. I feel light and healthy and like I am finally taking care of myself.
