Dr. was fine-staff rude and dated. Long wait time. I wish I had gone to SMOC on Burnett way.

I received a referral to Dr Bevilacqua for a shoulder pain. At my first appointment he insisted it…read morewas a swollen bursitis and gave me a steroid shot then sent me on my way. Within 5 days the pain was so extreme I started calling again and I was told that they do not do pain management. An MRI was never ordered and he kept down playing my pain. Given the fact that the answering system at SMOC is ridiculous it took me days to even get an answer. I finally get a response from a physician assistant who put in the MRI request. At this point I'm so frustrated with the service I called my insurance company and requested a new doctor. Long story short the swollen bursitis turned out to be a torn rotator cuff. Upon reading the reviews I now realize I should have done my homework before even going there.

I am open mouthed in astonishment right now. I have been followed by Dr Baecher since April, 2018…read more I have had 2 surgeries with him. My husband is about to have knee surgery with Dr. Bevilacqua. Given the quality of care we have both received, which is good, it is ASTONISHING how below poor the patient customer service and phone management has been. Virtually every time I have called the office I am lied to and told by the robotic voice that "You are first in queue." After being told that for 5 mins or so, I am then transferred to an answering service and informed that "my call will be returned by the end of the day." That in and of itself is wretched customer service. Today however, it got even better. I called because we have not received my husband's pre-surgical packet that he needs in order to do the bloodwork etc prior to his procedure. I called and went through the lovely maze of the phone system. I got to the part where I'm "number one in queue" and then I was transferred to the answering service...WHO NEVER PICKED UP THE CALL!! Are you freaking kidding me?! Now, 13 mins into this call from hell, I was routed BACK TO SMOC and went through the whole cluster AGAIN. "You are first in queue" and then routed back AGAIN to the answering service who actually answered this time. Total time for call TWENTY MINUTES. I doubt the providers at SMOC are aware that they are being represented by such a wretched, unprofessional, antagonizing system. Truly unbelievable.
