Ambiance: it's a hidden gem in South Bay Area, the restaurant is located in a quiet plaza, shared parking lot with other merchants, small dining area inside with counter and kitchen area, most people come for takeout Service: very friendly although the server barely speaks English, it's fine just using google translate if you don't speak Spanish Food: there are few classic categories of Peruvian food on their menu board Potato Chips & Dipping Sauce - *** complimentary JALEA REAL Mixta - ***** Crispy seafood, cassava, tartar sauce, salsa criolla, crispy fried fish fillet, shrimp, calamari, mussels, and yuka, highly recommend TALLARIN A LA HUANCAINA - **** Lomo and Fetuccini with huancaina sauce, flavorful meat and creamy pasta, recommend Price: generous portions and affordable prices, about $25 per person for a very fulfilling meal

While waiting to view a house in the Gardena area of Los Angeles we stumbled upon this Peruvian Gem. The waitress only spoke Spanish so I knew the food would be amazing. We were seated and given menus that were beautifully made and easy to read. The waitress took our order and provided us with samples of the house made juice. The food was very good and authentic, you can tell it was genuinely made with love and care.

This place is very nice great service smiles and all. First of dang my food was fireeee I loved the Lomo Saltado great taste juicy and all the cuts of meat they use are awesome and no fat. I enjoyed it heavily. Forget Inka pollo this is my spot now.

Easy parking in the plaza. I have tasted better Lomo Saltado somewhere else. It did not taste as I expected. The employees barely spoke English, which made it hard for non Spanish speaker to order.

Small restaurant located inside a small plaza on Western Ave, sitting capacity is for about 22 people. Music is blasting the place from 2 different angles; the dining area and the kitchen. Large screen playing music like it's karaoke night, sometimes with music videos too. It might be ok for a bar but this place doesn't even sell beer so that's something that was rather confusing to us. Service was very friendly and very polite but I wish they start asking their customers if the noise is too loud or not, so they can make an adjustment, especially when we were the only two customers at that time. We didn't ask because I avoid upsetting anyone who has access to my food, if you know what I mean... ;) Lomo saltado was nicely done, but it was missing some of the flavors one can only get when exposing the stir fry to the flames so it felt rather homemade, but the meat was very tender and the tomatoes were firm so we enjoyed it. We also had the seafood rice, aka arroz con mariscos, which it was nice too but slightly too wet for my liking and it felt more like a paella. Honestly, one of the main reasons behind the few stars has a lot more to do with the level of noise in this place. The food here is not bad at all but it could use a little adjustments here and there. Unfortunately, they're also using styrofoam for their takeout which is banned in many places nowadays.

    AN AWFUL RESTAURANT

Absolutely awful service I would like to commence this by stating that I recognize this place is authentic and is true to Peruvian food, however, the service is atrocious. My family and I came here to eat today and although we were kind and understanding that they're busy and didn't rush the waitress to attend us, she had the audacity to tell us to move to accommodate a bigger party DESPITE the fact that we arrive their 20 minutes earlier and didn't even have our order taken. Sinceramente, yo trabajo mucho y soy una persona buena que me tratan así en esta manera- si eres Latinoamérica, yo te sugerí que NUNCA VENGAS en este restaurante

I came here with a friend and we loved their food. Ambiance was pretty quiet since it was just us two for a while. Very clean and lots of nice artwork. Service was quick and our server was very attentive to our requests. The items we ordered were all very tasty. See photos. We also ordered a pitcher of passion fruit juice which was very refreshing. If you want to try some authentic Peruvian food, come try Peru Chicha! Not featured was their El Chupao but it was very filling and delicious.

I remember when the cream sauce was thicker and a bit more flavorful and it used to literally cover the fish. Not nearly as much sauce was on my plate this time. We were seated right away and the restaurant was mostly empty. Upon sitting, they brought out some bread to snack on, kind of like a free appetizer. Our server gave us some recommendations. I went with the oxtail fettuccine and it came out as expected! Though, some oxtail was chewy instead of tender and the fettuccine was pretty standard. Serving sizes were huge, so all of us took home leftovers, which was nice! Kinda got 2 meals in one lol. We also got some maracuyá (passion fruit) juice that was refreshing. Just note you'll need to ask for ice on the side if you want it cold. Overall a solid spot for a chill family dinner. Would come back if I'm in the area.

Seating: No-frills setup but good art to feel like you're in Peru. Good for small groups, inside seating for about 20 people. Vibes: Welcome to Gardena! Nothing flashy of mainstream LA but you can appreciate its local charm. Very much a local, no-hype spot. You walk in, smell the chicken roasting, and already know what you're getting into. It's all about the food here. FOOD / DRINKS: 2 Piece Chicken & 2 Sides (Recommend) This is the main event. Juicy, well-seasoned, and that rotisserie flavor really comes through. Pollo a la brasa is a Peruvian staple known for its roasted, marinated chicken cooked over heat for that smoky flavor --and this delivers on that expectation. Signature aji sauce - garlic, peppers, lime, cilantro. The beans were hearty and filling, and the coleslaw helped balance out the richness of the chicken. Finally the tortilla provided nice savory and comforting flavors. Nothing overly fancy, but they do the job well. Chicha Morada (Recommend) Refreshing and slightly sweet--perfect to wash everything down. It's a traditional Peruvian drink made from purple corn with fruit and spices, giving it that unique flavor. CUSTOMER SERVICE Straightforward and efficient. Gets the job done. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Awesome! Good food, reasonable prices and a pleasant experience. It's a solid spot for Peruvian rotisserie chicken. Nothing fancy, but that's the appeal-- straight to the food. If you're looking for some Peruvian flavors, this is your spot. There is a medium sized parking lot but it is a very busy center so parking can be difficult sometimes. We both had the Pollo Saltado which comes with a cup of chicken soup and fresh rolls. The Saltado is shredded rotisserie chicken grilled w/ onions, tomatos, french fries and is served with garlic rice. I know, I know french fries & rice but believe me it works so wonderfully. I'm glad I dined-in because I enjoyed the experience here from start to finish. The service was outstanding - the server was very nice and the food came out lightening fast. But I think the food was even better. I ended up ordering the Lomo Saltado instead of the Rotisserie Chicken. Not sure why, but I did not regret my decision. My order came with some dinner rolls and soup. The Lomo Saltado was a home run. The beef was tender - the whole dish was packed with flavor. The rice and cilantro soup (not sure what it's called) was fantastic too. It was very simple, but satisfying to eat. Move over chicken noodle soup. This would be the perfect thing to have when you're feeling sick. One thing I should warn you about. There's a bottle of green stuff sitting on every table. Proceed with caution when pouring it on your food. It's tasty, but very spicy. That thing immediately set off alarm bells on my tongue. I'm really curious now as to how good the Rotisserie Chicken is. That was what I was originally planning to get after all. Guess I'll have to come back again soon to find out.

Customer service makes a huge difference in the overall dining experience, and unfortunately, we did not feel welcomed or valued during our visit. To make matters worse, our food was served cold.
