This spot is truly a hidden gem in the South Bay. My Cuban fiancé grew up going here so we gave it a try and I fell in love!! We now come here a few times a month, and the food has been a 10/10 every single time. This is a family owned business, service is always attentive, and food comes out quickly. The Baseline: For a Cuban restaurant, the four traditional staples (beans, rice, plantains) must be represented along with the three traditional meats (chicken, beef, and especially pork), the preparation must accentuate the flavors (including garlic) with Spanish/African/Caribbean influences to represent the Cuban cuisine. Food: The best dish was the pork (Lechon Asado) with classic sides and ask for their garlic sauce. You need the sauce. Also I had the Ox Tail (Rambo Encendido) which is a popular dish but it is market rate ($32 the day I was there). So it was tasty but I think my personal preference would be the Lechon Asado ($19). The Camarones al Ajilo (Shrimp) were also good, but still wanting the pork over the shrimp. The rice, beans, and plantains were really good traditional sides to the meals. The Mojito was very refreshing as an alcoholic beverage and worth it for the meal. Also the fries were good, reminding me of the fries I get at a beach food stand (which is a good thing). Overall the food is good here. Service: Good solid service on the night we came and I always had water refills. Ambiance: The inside makes me feel like I am sitting in a Cuban restaurant in Florida. Hubby loves a good sandwich, and their Cubano is one of the better comforts you can Doordash. Lots of roast pork stuffed into a crusty roll, plenty of garlic flavor. Lechon Asado is the stuff in the cubano with onions on top. The meat is tender, the beans are surprisingly savory, best when eaten in the same bite as the pork and rice. I have lived in the South Bay all my life and remember this restaurant since I was a little girl. Today I had the curiosity of trying it out during happy hour. The drinks were delicious, I forgot to take a picture(s). I started off small since not sure how my pallet would like it. I was pleasantly surprised. I started off with a beef empanada, you can tell it's hand made which I loved. The beef was moist and juicy and well seasoned. I would get more of these!!! I do think they're a little pricy~ 5.50 each one but good to have one to try out! I also got the yucca and it was paired with a cilantro aoli, very much worth it. On its own the yucca is dry, as expected but very much delicious. I was curious and took some platanos maduros to go home and they're great. Service was great. Unfortunately sometimes I look like a teen (height and adult braces) so I think they didn't take me as seriously as other customers coming in. overall I will say service was fast and attentive as they could be. The ambiance is super cute. The outside of the builds has always looked janky to me but when you walk in, it definitely feels class. Overall wonderful experience for my first try. It was my gfs mom's bday and she wanted Cuban so here we are! 6:30pm on a Thursday night and we caught one of the last booths inside which was nice as it was slightly busy. Service was friendly and everything came out hot! Our only criticism is that we found most of it to be salted heavy but all agreed oversalted is better than bland. I ordered the vegetarian plate but to get the plantains I had to order the dinner size for $17.99. Service was ok. The inside of the restaurant was loud for lunch. I've been to this place many times through the years, and have seen it come down in quality. Last time was incredibly disappointing...what Cuban place has a crappy bartenders who cannot make (or does not want to make) a proper Mojito? It was brought to his attention by the waiter (who I told the Mojito was not good, and explained why), and the bartender just played stupid. He may be old, but that does not correlate with necessarily laziness to smash up the lime and the mint and the sugar together before adding liquid, so that the drink is made property...it's hard to screw up making a mojito, unless you choose to be LAZY! Food has become very overpriced as well. The waiter was friendly, nothing against him. Probably won't be going back any time soon, since there are better places to go have dinner. read more

Always a great meal here but coming in to review a few more dishes we had not tried before - the Cuban Nachos, Beef Empanadas, Fiesta Cubano, and the 1872 Mojito. The Cuban Nachos were absolutely delicious and cooked so perfectly. There were even some crispy picadillo pieces. Yum! This is an excellent appetizer that I would suggest. The Beef Empanadas were full of flavor and the dough paired so well the beef. This is a must try if you love empanadas. The Fiesta Cubano is an entree that allows you to try pork bites, shredded beef, ham croquetas, moros, sweet plantains, and yuca. This is a great way to try multiple top hits and it's paired so well together in terms of flavor. Finally the 1872 Mojito is incredibly smooth! Their mojitos are always delicious but this one is especially full of flavor and a must try! Havana Mania has quickly become a family favorite and we come here for dinner every time our youngest has cravings for the Lomo Saltado (her favorite dish). We love the Cuban vibe, with fun music and decor. There is a full bar, although we tend to order wine or a glass of their famous sangria, plus the full range of sodas for the teens. Our server is always super friendly, and hilarious, with lots of very honest menu suggestions on the freshest fish of the day or which menu options are currently most popular.
