    Half 1/2 Pollo/chicken Lomo Saltado

I really enjoyed this spot!! I've heard a lot of people chatting about it and finally had a chance to go. The half chicken plate was the winner! Meat was so good and 2 big sides and the soup. Soup was so good!! Also get the extra red sauce on side gave a nice kick to the food. Our waiter was awesome and attentive. And we got a table pretty quick! I'll definitely return.

Peruvian food in a casual setting located in Long Beach California. Our Peruvian friend brought us here for Peruvian Independence Day. Started off with some soup that was amazing. I had the Loma Saltado for my meal, which was excellent. Definitely drizzle the green sauce on top. Our waiter was very friendly. The food came out fast.

This is one the best locations, 75% of the El Polo Inka locations are great, this one included, and then there's a serious quality control issue in the other 25%, specifically the El Segundo PCH location. However, I'll leave that for another review, and focus on the good of this location! Very solid Peruvian food at a fair price. The chicken soup and the green sauce served on the side are EXCEPTIONAL, I buy extra bottles of the green sauce to take home and I'd love to have the soup recipe so I can try and recreate it. It's a simple chicken soup but it's so flavorful and full, it would be perfect for a cold or a rainy day. The soup and sauce are included with all entrees, along with a small bread basket with rolls. The rolls are fine, they're just a vessel for that amazing incredible God-given sauce. The entrees are exceptional too - the rotisserie chicken plates are a great price, it's hard to beat the $14 quarter chicken lunch meal. The chicken is perfectly roasted, rich and juicy meat with crispy skin. The side salad is really good too, and the french fries are decent, I wish they were served crispier. I love the saltado de mariscos, which is $20, served with a generous portion of fish, calamari, and shrimp. The shrimp is my least favourite, it's fine but uninteresting, the fish and calamari are SO TASTY. The portions used to be bigger, I used to never be able to finish my food and leave with leftovers, the portions are still enough to leave me slightly uncomfortably full, but I'm not leaving with leftovers anymore. To be fair , food prices have good up drastically, and the saltado de mariscos has only gone up from $18 to $20 in the last year. A reasonable compromise. I highly recommend this el pollo inka location and most of the other locations - just avoid the El.Segundo PCH location (rude service, bad food, whoever cooks there can't perform to the standard of the other restaurants, the same recipes come out so much worse). All the saltado plates are great for a classic and comforting Peruvian dish, the chicken meals are some of the best value around, and the green sauce is so good you could drink it.

Been eating here for close to 30 years and it still fantastic! Haven't found a local place in SoCal that offers quality and taste in food as good as this place. Had the Vainitas Saltado and the Seafood Saltado de Mariscos with the chicken aguadito soup. Scoo delicious! The service and ambiance are always great amd the food is always nice and hot. Their Green Ahi salsa blend is the best at this location and also much better than any other Peruvian place we have tried.

By far one of my favorite places for lunch. Service is very quick and we were given bread and aguadito within 10 minutes of sitting down. Ambiance is the same as it has been the last 10 years I've been coming here. I've never experienced a large rush so cannot speak on that. The best part is there is plenty of leftovers, basically a whole other saltado plate in a to go box!

Typically the lawndale pollo inka location has not been my favorite however this is my second time coming to this location within the week and the verdict is in!!! It's now my favorite location, the food is hot (and fresh) unlike the Torrance location. The new waitress they hired is such a dear! She comes and checks in and makes great recommendations. The ambiance is pretty casual. I've come in gym workout clothes nothing too fancy lol. They give complimentary bread but come early as they do run out!

The consistency in the food quality from this restaurant never ceases to amaze me !!! I frequent pollo inka probably almost once a week and I have never been disappointed by the food quality or presentation or the service given! I highly recommend this particular location it's roomy and lively without being too loud. Glad to have a vegetarian section in the menu !! For any vegetarians or vegans you can opt for a side salad instead of the chicken soup given complimentary with every meal.

We've been coming here for over 30 years, since we used to work in El Segundo/Redondo Beach area and when they only had 1 of the unit in the plaza (now they have expanded to 4 units). Now we drive an hour to come here whenever we need to go to LAX or in the neighborhood. My favorite is always their lomo saltado, it's always perfectly stir fried with flavorful and tender beef and crispy french fries. I also love their aji pepper sauce always pour a bunch on my plate. today we also tried their seafood pasta, very tasty as well. Hubby has ordered their rotisserie chicken and thought it was really good, especially when they're just out of the oven. We recently visited Peru/Machu Picchu and we've found we still like El Pollo Inka's lomo saltado the best. I also like their complimentary chicken rice soup with lots of cilantro. It's made of their rotisserie chicken bones so it's really flavorful. Their service staff is busy and usually very quick and friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the neighborhood.

The chicken was tender and well seasoned, the soup as well. The chicha was tasty and spiced to perfection. The rice was a little hard but tasted good. Though the waiter only spoke Spanish, he was polite, courteous, friendly and helpful. The oversized feel of the environment was a family atmosphere.

I've been coming to El Pollo Inka for years. El Pollo Inka is a Peruvian restaurant and I loooooooove their food. They are excellent for big parties and have the most delicious food!! As much as I love Pollo Saltado, getting older means I ride the struggle bus whenever I eat a carb heavy meal. My go to order has been the "healthier" alternative called Col De Pollo which has cabbage instead of fries. What we had: - Col De Pollo - chicken sauteed with cabbage, onions, tomatoes, green onions & cilantro. Served with rice. - 1/4 Pollo - Peruvian Rotisserie chicken marinated in herbs, spices, & citric juices. Served with a cup of soup and choice of 2 sides: garlic rice, french fries, salad, brown rice ($1+), beans ($2+), veggies ($2+), quinoa ($2+), or cilantro rice ($2.50+) Instagram: @jessgoeat

This was day 2! It was much it took me 2 days to finish it and even warmed up it was delicious

We started with the ceviche in Clamato with pieces of crab and avocado served with a delicious tortilla chips. I absolutely loved the flavor profile and couldn't get enough of the Clamato sauce. Then we moved to the weekend only special sea urchin, which Stephanie's parents personally bring down from Santa Barbara for weekend service. I'm usually indifferent at best to sea urchin, but this was excellent Then we shared the Jonah Crab Fusilli, another winner. I was driving, but hubby ordered a banhattan and it was another winner. They also have some beer and wine options as well as a full bar. Though very full by this point, just couldn't resist the pretzel bread pudding. The bread portion was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside with a delicious salty caramel sauce. Served with a very smooth and delectable scoop of ice cream. There's indoor and outdoor seating. If you want to sit inside best to make a reservation. We did not have reservations, but were lucky to get outside seating. Service was fluid with different people coming around to ensure everything was tidy. Really enjoyed one of the staff, a young girl who cleared our table and delivered some of the dishes. Loved her chill surferish vibes.

Definitely suited our sensibilities to be close to the heart of this treasure, plus it can get cold out there! When our friendly and helpful server learned that we'd never been to FwD before, we were both treated a tasty amuse, a Peruvian scallop, one of their specialties. Served chilled, absolute heaven. Simple, fresh, delicious, and very pretty atop its shell. We ordered an appetizer, a different scallop dish, Pan Seared Diver Scallops. (Parsnip-potato puree, brown butter ponzu, capers). So good. Succulent, perfectly cooked and devilishly satisfying with its rich, savory flavor. We enjoyed the one dish that have been on their menu since the beginning, Koshihikari Rice. (short-grain Japanese rice, overnight chicken dashi, shrimp, uni, blue crab, cage-free egg yolk.) Wow. So much happening here, and yet it's a complete package. All the ingredients meld together sumptuously. It akin to Paella, or perhaps to a stuffed Risotto, although the Koshihikari Rice was very much its own dish. The server swerved and mixed the egg yolk on our plate, and we loved it. Our strategy to try a number of dishes and yet still have room for dessert worked. Many great choices, and I doubt we'd be disappointed with anything. However, we had heard from the table next to use that the key-lime pie was must. Happily, they were right. This Key Lime Pie is just sweet and just tart enough. Though I am not Key Lime Pie expert, this one struck me as imaginative with its meringue colony crowding the pie's surface for additional dessert debauchery. There nothing overwhelmingly citrusy about it, and it was light enough to help you feel satisfied and just right. The coffee was good, too. This is a low-key yet lovely dining experience in Manhattan Beach.

Look I would've given this place 3 stars, but the customer service and wait time was ridiculous. Hear me out, this is my experience from last Saturday. So first it can be challenging to find this place, since the pier has so many level to it. Look for the elevators. When you get there, for the first time, you see a main line, well for what? Then you see other lines, well for what? Then you see an oyster line, oh. In order to determine what each line is for, you have to do independent research. From whom? Well the employee, who do not show case any form of customer service. There were so many people lost and confused. To break it down, each "Order Here" has their own area of what can be ordered by the pound and/or cooked. So not all lines are equal. There is a crab line, seafood boil/pre-seasoned seafood, oyster, clams, I think I saw fish and fried platters, which was the longest. So after much deliberation, an employee managed to wrangle the customers to form a line. Although his mannerism seems like I'm just done with this place. One might consider ropes to further avoid these mundane confusions... I got Ana's seafood boil mix, $99. It came with a lobster, dungeoness crab, peeled shrimp, clams, sausage and potatoes. The employee told me about 10 mins. I'm like okaaaay, only 10? I walked to their souvenir shop, nothing crazy or must haves. Just cheap Chinese things with their name printed on. I return in 10 minutes. The guy doing prepping/expediting the pick order was in a frantic state. Older white male, white mustache. He was running around, mixing orders up, couldn't even tell what customers had what. The employee that wrangling folks came to help him collect himself. So 10 minutes wait turns to 15, 20, then 30 minutes. I had 2 other employees check up on my order, they said it's not ready. Okay. Finally about 35 minutes it's ready. He didn't even call out my order, I had to wave my ticket. The first rule of speed of service, never over sell the time. If it's gonnabe 30 mins plus, say 40 mins, gimme a bs reason, short handed, etc, I don't care! But why would you tell me it'll be 10 mins?! So finally got the food. Flavor was pretty good. Lobster, was okay. I wished the shrimp had the head on. Clams were big. Sausage was good. Potato seemed like the diced ones from a can, they were so small. The crab, however, is the driest. Yep, for a place that exclaims "Quality Seafood," it was kind've of a let down. They taste like the bottom batch of the crab at Las Vegas buffet. You know the batch that sits on the bottom, they don't ever rotate because the employees don't care. So it's just marinating in its own dry filth. The crab was so dry I could put that in an Advil bottle instead of cotton. So now if you ask me, would I come back? Maybe, just maybe. Anytime soon? Nah, not right now. Also with the mention of a tourist trap, it's no different than Seattle's Pike Place and surroundings.
