First time having Peruvian food and it was yummy! We came at noon so it wasn't too busy yet. We got seated right away and were given menus and complimentary bread. Great ambiance with red seats and decorations. I tried the lomo saltado which is white rice with beef and fries. It was a good combo! Generous portion. Also it comes with a free bowl of chicken soup. I've been here so many times. This is not a fancy location, but it's a full service restaurant. The food is always consistently good. My friend loves coming here because she doesn't have a good Peruvian place near her...so we are here at least once a month. I usually get the saltado de pollo and my friend loves the col de pollo, plantains, and the concha nuts. The service is always good...and the food comes out fresh and fast. The parking in front is very limited but they do have parking off to the side of the restaurant and I've always found a good spot when I go there. Don't skip out on this gem!!! read more

This is one the best locations, 75% of the El Polo Inka locations are great, this one included, and then there's a serious quality control issue in the other 25%, specifically the El Segundo PCH location. However, I'll leave that for another review, and focus on the good of this location! Very solid Peruvian food at a fair price. The chicken soup and the green sauce served on the side are EXCEPTIONAL, I buy extra bottles of the green sauce to take home and I'd love to have the soup recipe so I can try and recreate it. It's a simple chicken soup but it's so flavorful and full, it would be perfect for a cold or a rainy day. The soup and sauce are included with all entrees, along with a small bread basket with rolls. The rolls are fine, they're just a vessel for that amazing incredible God-given sauce. The entrees are exceptional too - the rotisserie chicken plates are a great price, it's hard to beat the $14 quarter chicken lunch meal. The chicken is perfectly roasted, rich and juicy meat with crispy skin. The side salad is really good too, and the french fries are decent, I wish they were served crispier. I love the saltado de mariscos, which is $20, served with a generous portion of fish, calamari, and shrimp. The shrimp is my least favourite, it's fine but uninteresting, the fish and calamari are SO TASTY. The portions used to be bigger, I used to never be able to finish my food and leave with leftovers, the portions are still enough to leave me slightly uncomfortably full, but I'm not leaving with leftovers anymore. To be fair , food prices have good up drastically, and the saltado de mariscos has only gone up from $18 to $20 in the last year. A reasonable compromise. I highly recommend this el pollo inka location and most of the other locations - just avoid the El.Segundo PCH location (rude service, bad food, whoever cooks there can't perform to the standard of the other restaurants, the same recipes come out so much worse). All the saltado plates are great for a classic and comforting Peruvian dish, the chicken meals are some of the best value around, and the green sauce is so good you could drink it. read more

We've been coming here for over 30 years, since we used to work in El Segundo/Redondo Beach area and when they only had 1 of the unit in the plaza (now they have expanded to 4 units). Now we drive an hour to come here whenever we need to go to LAX or in the neighborhood. My favorite is always their lomo saltado, it's always perfectly stir fried with flavorful and tender beef and crispy french fries. I also love their aji pepper sauce always pour a bunch on my plate. today we also tried their seafood pasta, very tasty as well. Hubby has ordered their rotisserie chicken and thought it was really good, especially when they're just out of the oven. We recently visited Peru/Machu Picchu and we've found we still like El Pollo Inka's lomo saltado the best. I also like their complimentary chicken rice soup with lots of cilantro. It's made of their rotisserie chicken bones so it's really flavorful. Their service staff is busy and usually very quick and friendly. Parking lot is a very small. They have more tops than they can have cars so plan ahead if you're going on a Friday or weekend night. Go early and/or a weekday. They have a tablet for getting your name in. They use Yelp for it so it's simple. I went on a Monday night and the place was almost empty. Crowd started showing up later but not a lot. They are known for their chicken but I've never had it. I always order the loma saltado, which was delicious. It came with rolls and their cilantro rice soup. They also give you a bottle of their special cilantro sauce. The staff is nice, but some may not know English well so you may need some patience. read more

These dishes were prepared with ample protein and rice, especially the Chaufa de Mariscos - the amount of seafood that's in this fried rice is absolutely packed! Did I mention the portion? The portion is so generous that comfortably three people can eat one dish and two hungry man could eat this together. And one really extremely hungry person could probably finish don't think but I highly doubt it.! it truly is mountainous the amount of food that they give for the price. The only comment that I have is that they package their take out dishes in Styrofoam, which does concern me a little bit because the food is hot and it seems to melt the Styrofoam. El sudado chalaco was really good. From what I have read is a tomato - white wine sauce. As you can see from the picture, it brings big shrimps, small shrimps, calamari, fish and mussels.
