This place is a regular for us! We love it! The food is consistent, delicious, beautifully cooked and presented every time. The decor is adorable, and the drinks are cutesy and insta worthy! A friend brought me here for lunch. I am glad we tried it. It is in a center with a handful of restaurants that seems like recent construction. It is bright and clean inside. We were seated quickly and ordered pho. Mine was with spare ribs. It was great, but the meat was a little hard to separate from the rib. I also added several spoons of chili oil to get more heat. On my first visit, I ordered the Lomo Saltado, and from the very first bite, I knew I'd be back. The flavors tasted authentic, the steak was tender, and everything came together perfectly. It's one of those meals where you stop talking because you're too busy enjoying every bite. The crazy part is I almost ordered the Oxtail Fried Rice that first time. So on my second visit, I finally did, and wow! That dish absolutely lived up to the hype. Rich, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and packed with tender shredded oxtail. I honestly don't know which dish I like more. The food alone keeps me coming back, but the atmosphere makes the experience even better. You're greeted with a smile as soon as you walk in, and they do a great job getting people seated. Yup, loved it. And I can see why they made Yelp's Top 100 list. It's not just the food, it's the ambience, the service, and the uniqueness of their menu. My friend is a Yelp hawk, and when we visited him in LA recently, he picked this place for dinner. We tried a LOT of different things from the menu, and all of them were solid. For appetizers, we had the Tofu Fresh Roll and the Crispy Roll (Cha Gio). The tofu roll was fresh, soft, and chewy on the outside, with a fresh, crunchy filling inside. It had a lovely, meadowy flavor. The Crispy Roll was delicious too, not too oily and paired really well with the dipping sauce. My daughter had the Chicken Pho. The server was very accommodating and substituted chicken broth for the beef broth for us. It was one of the highlights of our meal: perfectly cooked, fresh, chewy noodles in an umami-forward, comforting broth. Fantastic. We also had the Truffle Fried Rice. It was good, but it sounded more exciting on the menu than it actually tasted. Shout-out to our server, Moon, who was patient and friendly throughout our meal. They did forget one of our orders, and when it finally arrived, it was overcooked and soggy (the Spicy Wontons). But they replaced it even before we could say anything. Located at the cusp of Gardenia and Torrance, I popped in before a concert at the Forum, since food there is so expensive and often lacking. The Peruvian influence here inspired my choices, although I plan to widen my options in the future, the cucumber salad seemed light and flavorful. It was, too. Crispy Persian cucumbers in hot chili oil garnished with peanuts. I appreciated the server asking about allergies, which, fortunately, I don't have. The Lomo Saltado was my main dish with fries, onions, and tomatoes. The dish sits surprisingly light in the belly, and the tender beef seemed to melt in the mouth. This review has been on my drafts for far too long. I have been trying to conjure up the best words to describe this place. This food is amazing, understandably so given their place in Yelp's Top 100. The way that they make Vietnamese and Peruvian food keen to its authenticity is unmatched. No fusion dishes, just authentic dishes from both cuisines. So good my grandma (who's from Vietnam) and mom say it's one of the best pho's they have ever had. Very flavorful without being overwhelming or overly salty. All of their other food was equally delicious. The only small negative would be that some of the noodles were too oily. But that qualm is minimal considering the flavor of the dishes. We also got their lomo saltado, oxtail fried rice (so good), egg rolls, veggie noodles, and tiger prawn garlic noodles. Out of all of these items, I recommend the pho, egg rolls and oxtail fried rice! Lomo saltado and noodles were good but the others were better. CA doesn't mess around. There is good food all over the place. We did have to wait a short while since it was a weeknight around rush hour time, but not too bad getting on waitlist at 5:30-6pm. My friend ran a bit late so if you go before that you will find ample parking in the small lot and probably not wait much. There is more parking if you drive around the back of the buildings as well. My husband, his cousin, and I came to try Nam Kitchen since we saw it ranked #3 on Yelp's Top 100 Places To Eat. We got there around 11:30am on a Saturday and walked right in with no wait, which was a great start. The place was nice and spacious with great decor with lots of plants that gave it a really pleasant vibe. Drinks were a hit across the board - his cousin got the matcha coffee, I had the lychee peachee, and my husband ordered the june lemon and they were all really good! For appetizers, the house chicken wings were the standout and had a great texture from the crunch and flavors! The yuzu pepper pork cheek was good too, though it leaned a little salty toward the end. The golden pear salad wasn't bad, but the only thing is the pears came out pretty thick, and I think thinner slices would've made it even better. For mains, we shared the oxtail fried rice and the ribeye steak garlic noodles. The oxtail fried rice had a really flavorful sauce, though the rice itself came out a bit on the softer side. The ribeye steak garlic noodles were a bit of a mixed bag for us -- the garlic noodles were honestly great, but the steak had a texture that was a little chewier than expected. Service was great as they checked up on us frequently throughout the meal. Portions were huge so we walked out with plenty of leftovers, which is always a win. Note that parking can get pretty tricky if you don't come early as most of the parking in the surrounding area appears to be permit parking for the apartments and homes. I had the opportunity to visit when I had lunch with a friend and I'm proud to say that was one of my best lunch dates. Drinks - coco matcha and Vietnamese iced latte. I loved my matcha. Why 5 stars? Because the Ribeye Steak Garlic Noodles was one of the best things I ate on my vacation. --- --- --- #3 on Yelp's Top 100 for 2026 and I'm soon taking a trip to the area? You can bet your life on that I was going to visit NAM Kitchen. I almost screwed it up though, as I'd eaten a pretty big, late lunch, and the only opportunity I had to visit NAM Kitchen was for an early dinner that same day. I was driving up from Orange County and headed to a Clippers game, and wasn't going to be able to make it before they closed if I tried post game. But because I am willing to make sacrifices for top 100 eateries, let alone top TEN eateries, I made it happen. As it turns out, the garlic noodles with steak were so utterly amazing that it wasn't even a challenge to eat every bite. Just a few days earlier, I'd had a $62 steak at a restaurant in Houston. And while the steak was enjoyable, I knew I could have bought a steak for $20, grilled it myself, and it would have just as good or better. Contrast that with the steak here, which was top notch, and for HALF the price, on top of a bed of delicious noodles. One caveat: when my wife and I were in Maui a few years ago, we had garlic noodles that were so utterly amazing and always order garlic noodles when we see them on any menu. Unfortunately, we have yet to find anything that comes close to the OG, so maybe we just got ruined by trying the most unique garlic noodles on Earth. But that aside, these noodles were still great and I enjoyed every second of the whole plate. Early dinner in a Saturday. Not sure why I haven't reviewed prior. Ordered beverages-June lemonade (yuzu) good not too sweet, strawberry fizz-good beautiful gradient presentation, lychee peachee- good pretty sweet tho. Shared: Golden pear salad- arugula topped with Asian pear, burrata sliced open, sugared almonds, with a Cabernet (?) dressing. Nice salad. Pretty much identical to the Pear salad at Vox except their dressing is balsamic based with thin sliced whole Asian pear beneath the arugula. Which is a sticking point of the Nam version. The pear is sliced too thick. Harder to cut and eat. Still tasty though. Could've skipped the shredded mozzarella topping, but it's chefs choice. Ox tail fried rice was good. Finely shredded ox tail meat throughout. Lightly seasoned. On the drier side though. Topped with 3 over hard cooked egg. Probably meant to be over easy eggs but difficult to do if not served quickly. Again beautifully presented. Garlic noodles topped with salmon. Nicely grilled and seasoned salmon. Personally I prefer salmon medium rare. But the taste was great. I never seem satisfied with garlic noodles at restaurants. They seem to be too sticky. The taste is always fine. Nam's weren't as sticky as some. Served with Peruvian Aji verde green sauce on the side. Very good-always adds another dimension to foods. House chicken wings-crispy meaty wings in a sweet spicy viet style sauce. As a wing aficionado I'd totally order again. Great flavor & crispy. Cha gio-crispy egg rolls. Lettuce leaves & mint on the side. Nuoc cham-viet vinegar based dipping sauce. VERY good. Outer shell was probably rice paper. Nice and thin. Mix of pork, taro, glass noodles make this a winner as well. Come early or off hours. With the Yelp award this place could get very busy on weekends/evenings. This bright modern place won't disappoint you. Unless you're a nitpicker like myself. I had a great experience at this Vietnamese-Peruvian fusion restaurant in Gardena! I visited with some friends for a weekend lunch and we enjoyed sharing their tasty and unique dishes. WOW! I passed by this place 2 days ago and decided to look it up on yelp, I was so impressed by the reviews I had to come try it out. Plenty of parking but can definitely fill up quickly when busy! Ambiance is very clean and modern, we went right before dinner rush and were sat immediately, they had a wait by the time we left even on a weekday. Service was very quick and to the point. We were given our food almost immediately after ordering. They were good with water refills, noodle refills and getting our check as soon as we asked for it. The pho was AMAZING. Broth was rich and flavorful, noodles were al dente, came right out of the packaging for sure. The broth isnt as cilantro forward (which I loved) but if you like cilantro definitely add more. Meat and Noodles were very LARGE portions and the noodle refills are unlimited and complimentary! Noodle refills come out in a bowl with some broth to warm them up! What an amazing touch. We went there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. No line at all. The restaurant is pretty spacious and full of natural light. We ordered a cucumber salad, a prawn garlic noodles, and a matcha coffee to share. The dishes came in a good portion and they are delicious, especially their signature garlic noodles! I visited Nam Kitchen for the first time and had a great experience. I ordered the filet mignon pho, and it was really tasty. The broth was rich, and the filet mignon was tender. It was definitely comfort food! I also had the coco coffee, which was so delicious. It's Vietnamese coffee topped with coconut ice cream. The coffee was very creamy, and mixing in the coconut ice cream made it even creamier. I would honestly stop by just to grab this drink to go. My table shared the chicken wings and spicy wontons as appetizers. The chicken wings were really good. They were crispy and well-seasoned, with a sweet glaze that I loved. The spicy wontons were just okay. I also tried a bite of the lomo saltado that my friend ordered, and it was delicious. The portion was huge and definitely enough for two people. Best pho I've had in a long time! The refillable noodles made my group of big eaters very happy. Service was impeccable and our waters were constantly filled. It's beautifully decorated too. What an amazing find! My family and I were on our way home and came across this gem. It's located in a little business square with plenty of parking. I ordered my food to-go and it came out in a reasonable time. I found they also package the food well. No chance of any unwanted spills that I could tell. My favorite dishes had to be the Yuzu Pork Belly and the Lomo Saltado. Both full of flavor. I see that this place is well known for their ayce pho. Next rainy day, I'm hoping that I can make it here to enjoy it! L The only downside was that I've seen photos where they have patio seating, but didn't see that set up when I went. I'll have to keep that in mind since I've seen other patron's photos with their pups enjoying the patio seating. I was looking forward to sharing this experience with my own pup. read more

After a nice hot Satuday around LA, we decided to finally stop here at NAM Kitchen! Brought our dog since they usually have an outside patio area set up, didn't with the wind this weekend so we got takeout. Would've ordered the Pho with unlimited noodles eating in, decided to get the next best looking offerings. The two best were the main plates, the Oxtail mixed rice and the Shrimp Garlic Noodles. For the appetizers, the Crispy rolls were delicious. The Lomo Saltado was one of the best I've ever had anywhere, and the cheek was uniquely delicious. Out of all the places I've reviewed in LA or nearby counties, this place is on the short list for me, it met the hype. The host and servers were nice and professional, gave us to go drinks, and the portions were generous not skimpy. We'll be back for Pho! read more

I went to NAM as it showed up at on the Yelp 100 top restaurants in America. Since NAM is located in my neighborhood, I felt it would be a great opportunity to go try about. It turns out I went twice within one weekend since the Yelp 100 had made our local news channel. There were a lot of curious folks about wondering what it was, and they all wanted to go. The first night I went with Hubs. He ordered the short rib noodles, which was recommended to us by my son, who already had been to Nam. We ordered the short rib, noodles, I got these combo noodles, and we ordered the corn chowder, and also French fries. It was a lot - so much so that we had to take it home. The short rib bones were humongous. My beef combo was pretty standard but it was flavorful. The thing that we noticed the most was that the broth was a little bit on the sweeter side. For me, this wasn't a problem because I tend to like sweeter things. However, if your palate doesn't prefer that, then you might have a bit of an issue with it. The French fries were excellent. And the corn chowder was actually corn elote - that was really good, but we didn't eat that much of it because we were so full. It would have been better if we had only ordered one appetizer, not two. It's located in my neighborhood, and the cost was not as much as I would have expected for how well it's rated. Then the second time that I went, I went with a little bit of a larger group. We were able to be seated fairly quickly, and we ordered an assortment of food, including another round of noodles. But someone also ordered the Lomo saltado - it looked delicious, and also the reviews were really good. My family member that ordered that thought it was a great dish. We also ordered the cucumber salad and the spring rolls, and both of those were really good. I see why it's very highly rated. read more

I went to Gardena to check what the hype was about for this Peruvian Vietnamese restaurant. When I arrived the restaurant was pretty packed. They have a 4.8 star rating on Yelp and I can see why. Who needs to go to OC when Gardena is closer. When you walk in you will see a lot of hanging plants and many tables. We had to add our name to the waitlist as the restaurant was full. The line moved pretty quickly and before you know it we were seated. They have a good variety of items on their menu and I was able to try a few of them. I ordered the matcha coffee, short rib pho, lomo saltado, egg rolls, garlic noodles and truffle fried rice. Matcha coffee had bold, strong coffee flavor with a tasty matcha cream top. It was definitely well caffeinated. Short rib pho came with a huge bone and meat inside the bowl. The meat was tender and falls off the bone. The noodles were firm and the soup had a light sweetness. Lomo saltado was a little different here and I liked it. It had celery mixed into the beef, tomatoes, onions and French fries. It gave the dish more depth and textures. The green sauce had a nice kick as well. Egg rolls were standard. It has a good amount of filling and they're crispy. It also came with lettuce and herbs for you to wrap. Garlic noodles were al dente and the garlic and mushroom flavors were not lacking. Truffle fried rice is one of their newer items. It had strong umami taste and I liked how it had bacon and sausage inside. read more
